Do you mean having a Lv. 3 leech standing at base in every single one of your floors? If so, I'm totally down for keeping a client window running when possible in order to have a lv 3 noob leech floors :P

Requiring Chaotics could be reasonable since you get those from Dungeoneering Thing is I'm not sure what we would do for Ranged. We could have it require only main hand ccb, but then ranged would require a 1h weapon to upgrade to a 2h weapon, while the other two would require a 2h weapon (doesn't really make a difference in the end since they all cost 200k tokens, though.) Could make it require Royal crossbow, but then that would mean ranged requires much less time and effort (takes much more time to earn 200k tokens than it does to forge RCB), not to mention the lv 90 ranged 2h weapon is supposedly a bow. Could require Zaryte bow, but then you have Melee and Magic requiring you to sit through several hours of dungeoneering while Ranged requires a) getting lucky at Nex or b) buying for millions at G.E. Additionally, requiring Chaotics would be fine since Chaotics becoming a component of the Lv. 90 2h weapons doesn't make Chaotics any more difficult to achieve for those who need Lv. 80 weapons. However, if you have Zaryte bow required for the Lv. 90 bow, then the price of Zaryte would increase, possibly a lot, making it much more difficult to afford for Lv. 80 rangers than it currently is (and I'm not sure if we could expect Lv. 80 Ranged/Def players to DIY Zaryte bow at Nex considering they keep buffing her) Also, Dragon crossbow being required for Ascension crossbow is a perfect example of what NOT to do. :P

I think it's kinda smart. It keeps prices from current weapons high and also keeps those respective bosses "alive." But Dual Wield is already > 2h... And why should the Dual Wield options be available simply from killing their respective bosses while the 2h ones would require both killing the original bosses + killing the new one? It shouldn't be a "progession" of "go dual wield, then you go 2h", especially considering the 2h ones aren't even better than the Dual Wield ones. (Why do we need to "keep the previous bosses alive" when new content comes out? Not only does it not make much sense in this situation considering Vorago/KK/Asc bosses will still give better weapons than Araxxor, but content shouldn't be expected to remain relevant to every high level players. Bosses get outclassed over time, rewards-wise, lower-end bosses are relevant for lower-end players and higher-end bosses are relevant to high-level players.)

Requiring the current Lv. 90 weapons to make the new ones would be dumb IMO, since they should be alternatives to the dual-wield ones.

Ye it's no longer a recoloured Rogue's outfit anymore. Though IMO it should have remained all white.

It's not as much the tier system than how they implemented it. If they had stats work the exact same way as they did pre-EoC, then they could have had a tier system without necessarily making it extremely unbalanced in certain situations. (Keep in mind that the tier system basically only means that weapons/armour of the same levels are equal and that higher level equipment is always better than lower level equipment.) For instance, using the pre-EoC damage formulas, with a Rune 2h sword, 4 Strength and Ultimate strength, your max hit would have been 36. Then get 50 Strength and your max hit becomes 147. Right now, this is how the system works: Weapon has 167 base damage. With 99 Strength, this only increases to 223. This means I would have 167 base damage at 1 Strength, only increased to 223 at 99. Pre-EoC, my max hit at 1 Strength with a Godsword would have been 41. At 99 Strength, this would have been increased to 341 Something needs to be done.

RuneScape was built with several flaws that the Gower brothers didn't anticipate since they didn't expect it to become this big. For every little thing they add on top of that system, it becomes that much harder and/or tedious to fix. For example, the tick system and Attack/Strength being separate skills for Melee (while Magic and Ranged have their "Accuracy" and their "Damage" skill in one.) We could attempt to fix those issues *right now*, but it would cause certain problems short-term, such as receiving updates much less often due to the team having to reprogram the game engine from the ground up to remove the tick system (would take a very long time since everything revolves around ticks) and people crying because of changes to the Attack and Strength skills. But in the long term, it would be pretty good for the game. The tick system is fairly restrictive in what they can do with the game, but in order to get rid of it we would probably have to accept receiving much less frequent updates so that they can focus on upgrading the engine. I think in the long term this would be a very good thing, but I'm pretty sure there would be an uproar in the community if they had to go for months, if not years with few updates (not to mention all the people who would complain about the removal of the tick system.)

Even if TDs aren't any faster than in EoC, I think we can assume that more people are doing them since it's easier than it has ever been to get decently fast kills with little effort, thanks to Legacy mode.
