  1. You can make so much more money by just doing 2-4 herb runs during the day and dropping your gold ore vs banking your gold ore. Unless you are pure DIY, never bank your ores. It is a huge waste of time, xp and overall doesn't make any sense at all. Also, I can't remember off the top of my head teh reqs for juju mining, but if you can, get them also. Urns are worth it in terms of xp/h
  2. Good luck on RC! That one is a heartless [bleep] after the nerf, I am so dissappointed I didn't go all the way to 99 when it was still good. FInd a few good shows to watch and you'll be alright even though it's slow!
  3. Thanks a lot for the good feedback! I just got thiev lvl 90, so I will get a few hunter lvls now and then get into construction. I will probably get 10k of logs and 10k planks and then see how xpwaste vs carpa tunnel is for me and go from there.
  4. The reason for that is the fact that most players and I guess developers also feel like the highest tier items should come from PVM, not via skilling. I don't agree with that fully, but I am leaning more towards that also. So I am actually glad it's only marginally better, because that means I didn't actually lose a shitton of possible income (because I love me some PVM to make geeepeeees) by having a high end uber armour introduced to the game, that is attainable by combaining minigame and skills. At the same I am glad people who have invested in skills can actually get something out of them. So for me a definite win-win.
  5. I'm sorry, I have no understanding of what you mean by "using logs" - I am really a noob when it comes to construction. Could you elaborate on that? (sounds ridiculous, but my house only has an altar, only reason I ever trained it was to get to gilded for my prayer, everything else was random xp)
  6. Efficiency experts - thou art needed! Hey everyone, I am having a bit of a difficulty with deciding what to do with my construction skill. My short term goal is to get all skills 90+, I will have thieving in the bag this week, then I have a choice of either hunter or construction to go for 90, but I would go for construction for starters, because it is fast and I like instant gratification :). I have 80M to spend, I can make about 3M/h soloing GWD and I have about 2-3 hours of game time per day. I like to train as efficiently as possible, but I am not that great at figuring all the numbers out myself. The problem I have with construction specifically is that I have no actual idea of how many planks p/h you can realistically make. What I do know is oak planks are 8,9 gp/x, teak are 10,5 gp/xp and Mahogany are 14,9 gp/xp. (Thank you Grimy's spreadsheets!) So I have 2 main questions concerning construction: 1. Are SC hammers worth it? taking into account that I can get 9 hammers in 2 hours (what kind of xp/rate and gp/rate do they become useful or not useful) 2. To get constr 90 I need approx 23,4k mahogany (48M); 54,6K oak (27,2M) or 36,4k teak planks (32,8M) I don't feel like oak would be worth all the time just to save 5,6M, what about Mahogany vs Teak? 3. Anything else I am missing and should take into account? Suggestions appreciated for the following skills, these are what I am planning, if you have better ideas, or if you know xp rates, please do shoot at me: 1. Hunter (planning on doing HH, will get zamorack's favour at some point prob) Should be around 200k/h? 2. Firemaking - bonfires with magic logs (no idea of xp/h) 3. Agility - random xp lamps, task rewards and troll invasion all the way 4. Smithing - got 94 banked with SC hammers and addy ingot i - roughly 200k xp/h (i won't switch to plates cause I really cbf to walk that much, Artisans workshop ftw!) 5. Mining - LRC with urns and juju mining (no idea of xp/h) Any and all help would be greatly appriciated!
  7. This account started out as a pure way back in RSC when the legend of the wildy was Ladykilljoy, since I was a pure, I copyed her. Also i love(d) the concept of killing other people's joy, so that worked as well. I have considered changing my name a number of times, but I can't give up my awesome name.
  8. Why do you want to keep them in your tab when you can destroy them and have dingo keep them for you, whilst saving precious bank space?
  9. This is really the best thing that anyone can say about the aura. Training agility is so 2011... That's what SOF's random xp lamps and troll invasion is for. Personally, for me it saves 7h of thieving or whichever other skills that are below 90 , which is way more significant, because well, there is no need to ever train agility except for the 300 perfect laps you need to get.
  10. I blame Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan. I blame the Kardashians. Fishy is your average teenager trying to find a sense of importance in the world, unfortunately, he is also your average pathetic, self-centered teenager, which means he doesn't understand that not a lot of people give a flying [bleep] about him. I hope they close him down for good and he cries some more and in a year he will be another person who noone remembers, because hes actions are actually of no significance.
  11. Do not do mith bodies, this has to be one of the worst reccomendations ever. they are currently at -20,93 gp/xp, while addy ingot i without SC hammers is 10,4gp/xp and steel is 4,3 gp/xp. Addy ingot I is also faster than mith plates, so there is no need to ever smith mithril platebodies...
  12. Grimy's spreadsheets are your friend for all the questions you posted. Personally I would suggest: crafting - green d'hide (-10,35 gp/xp), water bstaves are also a viable option at -3,37 gp/xp Smithing - steel ingot I to 70 (-4,00 gp/xp, -2,00 gp/xp with SC hammers) Addy ingot I to lvl 90 (-10,4 gp/xp, -5,2gp/xp with SC hammers) Herblore - super attack pots are -9,87 gp/xp Just look at how much xp you need and use the gp/xp cost to figure out how much you will spend, e.g. 2M craft xp will cost you about 20,7M if you do green d-hides And what ever you choose to do please do not attempt to smith gold to lvl 90 even tho they are only -2,4gp/xp, you will go crazy and after the first 10k you will find that watching paint dry is actually a lot more interesting than smithing gold (take it from my experience) Artisans workshop is your firend with SC hammers, AFK for 4mins, restock in 10 seconds, rinse and repeat. I got 95 smith banked there, hopefully they give double rewards for SC this weekend, that'd be beyond awesome. I'd have smith 95 for POP
  13. Love that, obviously i got myself a full set also because of that reason ^^ Gl with runespanning, do you AFKspan or does actively hunting give better esteem?
  14. That is nice news. I really hope they give double rewards for SC this weekend, then I can hammer out my smithing 94, my addy ingots have been waiting for ever to be smithed. I am very happy to see proper higher level content coming in finally. In my mind runescape is really becoming more and more of a game that is actually worth playing after you reach a certain level. In my mind they are really gatering to the needs of the more experienced, older end-gamers, which is great for return business. I know I must be alone in this but: Great work Jagex.
  15. 9 year veteran...come back in 2 and we'll talk.. Anyhow, I find that EOC is a welcome change to RS. I loathed it when rs2 came out, just cause I had just maxxed out my rune pure and they messed everything up for me personally, but I got over it and adopted. EOC is nice, because it actually welcomes people to think! My longest solo trip to Bandos this weekend was 6 hours straight (11 ovl flasks-whatup!) and in this time noone could crash me. This is something that was previously not possible, because maxxing your DPS was a matter of luck mostly, not using your brain. On the other hand, I have taken the time to learn the EOC melee mechanics and using correct abilities at the correct time, all the would-be crashers did was help me get kills faster. Overall in ~1300kc, I only lost 6 boss kills. Post EOC Runescape favours people who use their brains, and as a 11 year veteran in this click-and-go game, I welcome this change with open hands!
  16. Oh GWD, I welcome thee with open arms. Might go ahead and try to have some long trips this weekend. Going to be fun with fail crashers and what not.
  17. Being a sales executive I have had the distinct pleasure to read reviews like this about myself. It is usually the people who don't put in any effort, but expect to get paid anyway and get sacked as a result - who write up reviews like this. The people who actually work hard for their results, will have the self respect to give you their opinions right in your face, which is why I regard these kind of online reviews to be bogus. I bet ya that none of these employees would have the balls to stand up and say this in a meeting or even say that to any of the managers after they got sacked. The bottom line is - there are idiots in every line of work and every company. Yes, in a big company some of them will make it to the top management also, but people generally work to their best ability to come up with good results. Every senior manager in a large company has to answer to someone also, so I can't believe that things are that bad. These people complaining are probably the shining example of what is wrong with Jagex. Now, if any of the active Mods would come up and say these things, say on a yt channel or something, that would be a whole different story.
  18. I saw a guide of someone duoing her. One person was with virtus, shield and wand and the other guy was in void. The guy in virtus kept nex focused on him, so the void guy could deal decent dps without getting obliterated. Now with yesterdays combat [bleep]-up (Jagex they called it a fix) not sure if it affected Nex or not, should probably be tested.
  19. Well, I tried QBD yesterday, they have fixed her up also. So now she hits 2x1000 per fire wall, which with a triple firewall and some tormented souls will easily KO you if you lagg or something. Also I died a few times on her last form when somehow i got hit even more. Not sure what is up with that but following the different YT guides, I couldn't get to put her to rest because she was hitting so much more than before.
  20. Agreed. Usually in a highly structurated company, the higher level executives and managers are always viewed as incomptent in terms to the task of the individual worker. While it mostly is the case, it not because they are bad employees, or bad leaders, it is because of the difference in tasks. "When top level guys look down they see only shit. When bottom level guys look up they see only [wagon]." http://www.flickr.co...ckr/4580812339/
  21. Off topic And what is this Runescape you people speak of?
  22. Seeing as I am not maxxing yet, but am working up to all 90+, I will try to help you out a bit - as limited as my knowledge might be. Well, firstly you want to get your DG up - like previously suggested, I would say you need atleats dual chaotic rapiers and a maul, while doing herb runs and dailies. In terms of other DG rewards, as you should be doing herb runs daily, you need a scroll of life and juju pots. I don't know how much you know about DD's, but the ones I always do is Troll invasion, which is a good chunk of free xp per month and Tears of Guthix weekly, for a nice change of xp also. If I were to give you a list, this is what I would suggest: 1. Herb runs daily 2. Get scroll of life and jujus ASAP (I would say even scroll of life before chaotics due to your low lvl DG). Since you can pot from 71 to 74 for juju 2nd ingredients, this should be done right away. Juju farming pots make a world of difference, so while hunting for seeds will be slow, it is definitely worthwhile and there is little point to do farm runs without Jujus. 3. Buy your broad arrows and arrowheads (300k gp daily) for decent fletcching xp. 4. Have your MTK running daily, check Grimy's spreadhseets for best items to collect 5. Merch if you can (I personally cbf, so I just PvM, so if you prefer that, get yourself your dual rapiers/maul and PvM) Merching or PVM should cover your buyable skills. 6. Dump all your xp lamps into skills that are not buyable and you dislike the most (personally, i Hate thieving, but since it ius fast I dump all my laps and any random xp into agility - havent trained agility since lvl 74, thank god for SOF lamps/troll invasion/task list xp) 7. After you obtain atleast dual cr and some range/mage gear, do some slaying to maxx out your combat. 8. If you like AFK-ing or would like to do that due to studying, ivy's and runespan is your friend 9. w84 is your friend for mining (after you have reqs for Juju mining pots) 10. Artisans workshop with SC hammers is your friend for AFK smithing 11. Crafting is for green d'hides There are certainly other options and a lot of aspects I did not cover, i really dont have time to type the whole RS out, but this is what I have done, and have relatively quickly gotten from total 1900's to where I am now. I have the cash to get all buyables 90+, but atm I only care for PvM, so maybe in the future, once i get that thieving above 90, I will get the other skills on par as well.
  23. With soulsplit, on GWD bosses, there is on need for a shield. IF you're serious about bossing, get your dual cr-s first, then dual ccbow for Armadyl. ONly time you need a shield is when you solo Saradomin, then a wand and shield comes in very handy. I would definitely get that pray 95 if I were you, in addition to chaotics this is pretty much a given if you want to boss without being afraid of crashing. Ovls and dreadnips also help, but are not required as much as pray.
