30-January-2009 Penguin bannings
Actually, Jagex Terms of Service you agreed to say you acknowledge that not only will you not have 24/7 access to the game, regardless of your status as member of free player, but that Jagex holds the right to ban you for any reason, at any time, even if they just feel like it, with no chance of prepaid funds being returned to your account, nor will you be reimbursed for downtime. You've joined today and you've made a complete crybaby of yourself. Just go away, you don't need to remind us that you're a 12 year old who thinks he knows the law and is going to threaten a multi million dollar company through a fansite. Don't make me get the seal out here.

Noobs say the funniest things!
You've stumbled upon a player who will eventually become a member and complain as to merchanting being too hard because no one will buy his items for 25% over market value. Me: (randomly in Lumbridge) Do you know the muffin man? Noob: Immature ***** Noob2: Scrue Yew Me:

The ToS says you're not guaranteed to have access to the game 24/7 so no, no refund.

They have explicitly named Rulebreakers in the past: point-in-case: That was five years ago, the policies back then are a lot different than the policies now.

30-January-2009 Penguin bannings
That's Jagex's version of "naming and shaming", and a sign of how they're willing to ban high level accounts, which players assume they won't do, just goes to deter cheating even more. Showing how many people got banned for it would be a good indicator as well, maybe a post on the front page reminding players how bug abuse will get you permabanned. Jagex doesn't name players on Runescape, so this is their version of naming and shaming. Players shouldn't need reminding and coddling not to break the rules doing something so stupid and obvious. If you're stupid enough to stick a fork into an electrical outlet, the wall isn't going to push you away and give you a lecture. You're probably going to be dead.

Yes. Because as we all know, if there is one thing that will shame you into never breaking the rules again, it's having the username of a banned account posted on the front page of an internet game with a low aged target audience, with a statement saying how bad it was that you abused a bug. They've done this before. Also yes, being told by a company to a paying member that their money's no good here does shame them into not cheating anymore. At least it should.

It's statements like this that remind us how the state of the community is utterly pathetic, not only in the number of people who swarm on a bug to exploit it before it's fixed, but the people who defend them once they're caught at it. Just as sad as when Durial rampaged through Falador in 2006, and people were trying to get him unbanned. If you take advantage of exploits like this out of "lapse of judgement in light of a startling discovery", then you need to grow up, stop being so greedy and selfish, and get a clue as to how the rules work. These people weren't saying to themselves "I wonder if this is a bug?", they were saying "LoL FREE EXP, and Jagex won't catch me anyway". These idiots are just as bad as the ones who real world traded, bought gold and stuff, and autoed thinking Jagex didn't care, and were eventually responsible for all the limits and Runescape Classic shutting down. People who exploited this should be permanently banned, and Jagex really should name and shame them so this kind of exploitation doesn't happen in the future.

Mass banning for penguins?
Um, no. They should be banned. Zero tolerance policy, stop encouraging people to cheat.

Mass banning for penguins?
So you admit that the very first line of your original post is a lie... How do you expect us to help you when you lie to us? I clicked on them say only 5 times before i even knew it was a bug just because there were so many people milling around. It didn't work anyway and i only ended up with 13 points anyway because i couldn't find the feldip hills penguin. It was only curiosity that lead me to click it a measly 5 times and it seems evident to me now that a little bit of curiosity has lead to possibly 1000's of bannings of people who only got 15 or less penguin points. That's the basic gist of it, yes.

Iddison resigns as Jagex CEO, replaced by Mark Gerhard
Maybe he was chased out of the Jagex Towers by the Gower brothers wielding bats. Maybe he was rushing the QA team along, explaining why so many more updates this year were riddled with game breaking bugs and oversights, or unfinished?

Thoughts of a runescape veteran, level 136. (30% done)
Runescape Veterans: Proving that how long you play and having the common sense not to repost a locked thread are not mutually exclusive, since 2001. Also: Your thread is doing fine, still on the front page. The idea's changed to a cape, and Mod Emilee went on the thread saying she forwarded the idea to the Content Team.

Temporary lack of penguins
You can store up to 50 points, and can only earn a maximum of 15 per week.

Temporary lack of penguins
You're "sickened" over player's over the internet, you really need to review your priorities in life.

THIS IS A SKILL CAPE F2P suggestion

offenseive 666 user names should be chenged or banned
*Closes Google Tab* Umm... Anyway, judging by the OP's username, he's about 13 years old. I wouldn't deny the idea of him either being that stupid, or just being a troll.

You seem to have stumbled off of the RSOF train. I suggest you get back on before it departs and the local residents beat the stupid out of you like a pinata.

Hello, I have a "Rant".
Forum posts are like gardens. Keep it trimmed, fresh, and watered, remember to pull the weeds, and don't over-manure. If you let your garden get too trashy, unkempt, full of weeds, and overflowing with bull-manure, people are going to take notice and point it out to you.

Hai der! I has a rant!11
But "Hai" is longer than "Hi"... That can be blamed on lolcats, but the abbreviations are definitely due to cell phones.

fourth spellbook?
Summoning Imagine all of the servers crashing and burning because of the load. WGS was JUST released. The sequel won't be out for quite a while. Lucien killed some of the most powerful people in Runescape before he obtained the stone of Jas. There's no way our players can beat him. IE: Overpowered to the max. Summoning, but with dead stuff, also damage gains exp. This is a pretty poorly thought out idea. Far too overpowered, and I'm not losing my quest cape to a "near impossible" quest.

Shockingly awful grammar
That's only a very small percentage and by far doesn't cover everyone. 20% of the people in the world are dyslexic. so that could be a big part of the reason of the bad spelling and do not blame them. i mean some of them do it on purpose. but most dont. :D A lot of people online who claim to have dyslexia, aspergers, bipolar, ADD, etc, are self diagnosed and only looking for sympathy. Unless Runescape has an odd attraction to those with dyslexia, in which case it would totally explain why 90% of posts on the RSOF show a complete lack of attention to the actual game itself ("I want free trades cuz free trads r gud n i want dem")

Using a hammer and chisel to get through their thick skull is looked down upon by law enforcement, so this is the next best option.

Old Promises Fulfilled and Some Left
Around the time that the Grand Exchange came out, I think it was Mod Paul that said Player owned shops were not possible at the time, but could possibly come out in the future. I don't know why they would do it though; what use could the POS do that would make it preferrable to the Grand Exchange? I've lost hope for Player owned Shops, farming plots in houses, and Clan forming. Jagex said on the RSOF that clans are not possible, referring to how difficult it is just to have two teams in mini-games like clan wars and castle wars, noting the system couldn't handle it. You missed Wilderness Tag (Axed) and Sebastian Gno random event (probably axed)
