  1. You drop the items on the ground and log out. If the cash is smart, it'll know who's bank to put itself in. I can't get enough of the "give me tips to break rules" threads.
  2. Yes but why use that expression? It just seems like a hint to me. Because it's an extremely common phrase. Runescape recipe for speculation: Take common phrase + add water + add water + add water + add water + add water = Voila, you've got a bomb. Exhibit a: OMG, Jagex said happy new year! The symbol for the new year is BABY NEW YEAR. That means BABIES are coming to Runescape. How do babies get here? SEX. Clearly Jagex is releasing a sex skill which you'll use to conceive babies. WHY DID THEY SAY HAPPY NEW YEAR? THEY COULD'VE SAID HAPPY 2009!!!!! THEY CHOSE "HAPPY NEW YEAR" omg conspiracylolohoskjl;ajoqiurwer.
  3. As a level 108, I get called a noob for not having 99's. I get called a noob because I only have 1mil in the bank. I get called a because I don't know the best ways to make money or skill. I get called a noob because I'm too high level. I get called a noob because 7 of my combat levels are thanks to 59 slayer. I get called a noob because I have a yoyo. I get called a noob because I'm wearing my camel mask, so I'm showing off. I get called a noob because I'm wearing my quest cape, so i must be flaunting my ego. I get called a noob because no, I don't want to buy your rune two handed sword. I also don't want to buy your elite black armor, your godsword, your flax, your logs, your dragon pl8, your shark, your heraldic armor, or your unstrung oak longbows, so I am a noob. I get called a noob because I don't want to go daggannoth hunting, nor do I want to party up to kill the kalphite queen with a stranger. I don't want to hunt revenants, I'm not all that interested in going to Lumbridge f2p to "show off". I haven't seen the latest Runescape bot, and I've never drop traded to a pure. I am a noob because I don't pk. I'm a noob because I play Runescape while playing Mario Party. I'm a noob because I supported the December 10th updates. I'm a noob because I use everything the game gave me. But I'll be the noob who doesn't ignore other players when they ask for help. I'll be the noob who teleports to Edgeville because I gave my last dose of anti-poison to a player with 10hp left. I'll be the noob who takes my only two million in coins, and the thousand willows I just chopped, and throws it in the party room in f2p just because it's the new years. I'll be the noob who, despite the trade limit, continues to celebrate holidays by cooking mass amounts of Chompies and handing them out to players. I'll be the noob who doesn't use the word noob. I'll be the noob who tells a player how to get somewhere and gives them a teletab to get there faster. I'll be the noob who offers the ten seconds it takes to do a price check in trade. I'll be the noob who says "gratz", even if it's preceeded by "Woot 25 woodcutting". I'll be the noob who has been playing for five years, and logically has no life. But most importantly, I'll be the noob who looks upon your petty insults as a badge of honor. Don't look at "noob" as a derogatory term, look at it as a good thing. When someone calls you a noob, take it as a way of saying "I have nothing negative to say about you, so I'm filling the spaces". Runescape is a competitively cooperative game, there's a time to compete and a time to cooperate. There is no reason why players cannot give one another basic respect, but at the same time there are players who will attack at the slightest sign of vulnerability. It's an internet game, and a free one at that, and nothing Jagex does will ever clean up the community. I hope I've taught you something today, and the next time someone calls you a noob, your response is a simple "Thank you". This post is not intended to be condescending, nor am I giving a lecture. Take the higher moral ground, and you'll find that these comments flow off of you like water off of a raincoat.
  4. That's my approval you're looking for. You're no different than the fifty other "Wah, dis gui caled me a n00b, he r intrawebz bully!", and shows you have all the maturity of an eight year old complaining that the kids at school are calling him a doodoo head. I can understand someone getting frustrated at a comment said about a dead/dying relative, even if it was over Runescape, but kiddies like you who get offended at the word "noob" are the reason that the word still exists; It works. Griefing still exists because it makes people like you cry. Trolling still exists because it makes people like you cry. They find a tactic, it works, and the rest of us have to put up with it because of people like you. Did your parents ever teach you to just ignore someone instead of making the problem worse? You have the right to vent about your frustrations, but this is an open forum. Expect your trivial whining to be pointed out by others with just as equal posting rights. Don't like it? Start up your own forums and only allow posts that agree with you. Stop treating everyone who disagrees with you like they're some kind of idiot. You've been playing Runescape for eight years (although I highly doubt that), which means you're at least 8 years old. I'd expect an 8 year old to compose himself better than you are right now. What did you hope to gain out of this thread? Venting? Then you should've left it after the first post, because you're sure not calming down from what I see. Did you expect sympathy? Good luck, you'll sooner gain sympathy from such a trivial problem by going on 4chan. Did you want us all to reminisce on when we were called noobs, chat mildly on how they should be banned, pat you on the back, and say everything'll be all right? Because I'll tell you right now, that's not going to happen. Oh and in before the 1-sentence "go away" reply.
  5. If people are ordering huge bulks, they're in for a long waiting period, and a couple hundred players making offers at maximum GE price will bring the price of quills up pretty fast. I have a list of items to keep watch of on the GE Express, I'm adding these to the list. Also: If I'm not mistaken isn't there a block on items being sold on the GE until a day after release? Or is that just armor and weapons?
  6. You're buying one thousand at the max, on the release date of the quest, just a few hours after release. In order to fulfill your order, two hundred people will have to finish the quest and sell their feathers. That is, of course assuming you're first in line, which is highly unlikely.
  7. finally a person who shares my dislike of exaggeration. It'd have to be a massive sum to get me to sell my account. Over 300 dollars worth of membership fees invested in it, not withstanding.
  8. I had the idea of removing direct trading between players, except for the trade limit worth of food and potions. Obviously, Jagex would first have to fix the Grand Exchange prices, but the only form of RWT'ing would occur as powerleveling and account trading, with the small amount who will trade 60k worth of sharks every 15 minutes. It's the perfect plan.
  9. Agreed. Why keep your hopes up when Jagex never prevails? : | I see our first candidate for pessimist of the year, 2009.
  10. I wish Jagex would add more milestones, it seems kinda pointless to have the tab when 90% of the skills have one milestone: 99.
  11. I spent a lot more on Questing than the cheaper skills, be it spending money to increase skills, money spent on pots and food, and to rebuy equipment that I lost (I've lost countless Dragon Legs, Barrows Gloves, Rune Platebodies, potions, food, my quest cape several times, Glories, etc) I wish people would stop comparing these things like it's a one or the other choice. You CAN do both, and you're supposed to do both. So do both and stop taking an elitist attitude in a VIDEO GAME.
  12. I'm the same. If you were to ask me how to make money, kill bosses, skill fast, or consume one's own severed leg in one sitting (And yes, I have been consulted on the matter), I wouldn't have an answer, and I'm 10....8 combat. Being high level in runescape isn't like being a celebrity as much as it is like walking around with your Masters Degree showing at all times. People are going to ask you questions about money, and little kids will want advice and want you to help with their homework.
  13. 1.) Do you care if you can't have members anymore because Jagex can't accept credit cards and your region only offered that payment option? Oh wait, ignorant, I forgot. 2.) Coinshare/Lootshare. Monster hunting isn't dead because you're doing it wrong. 3.) I got a Rune Longsword as a present a year ago from a friend. I don't use it in combat, but it sits in my bank and I still keep it safe because it's the thought that counts. People who say "omg I cant have phr33 wips nemore" are the same people probably sitting around Varrok now spamming "barrowing whip, 20k per our"
  14. Wishful thinking only leads to disappointment. Therefore: We must bash everything Jagex does as boring and useless. Hell yea, pessimism for the....whatever. =D> ITT: The same people who whine about every update not being these updates; whines about these updates.
  15. Look at #2. HOW [bLEEP]-ING IRONIC. Niggling about niggles, the RSOF reminds us that they are a bunch of crybabies with absolutely nothing to do.
  16. I can still see people whining and crying that "Iz knot reel acheevmint caep cuz iz eesy"
  17. Omali replied to TheDayRsDied's topic in Rants
I got my quest cape back today, and I've been doing the emote all day. Why? Because there's a song and a new sound when you do the emote.
  18. It'll be for the sailing skill. You'll need mining for the new types of metal to use on the ships, and runecrafting to bind runes to the weapons to fire spells. IT ALL LEADS TO THE SAILING SKILL.
  19. I have pokemon for the sake of collecting and raising them, all 150 or more to see.
  20. Recipe for leet post-12/10 threads: I remember a time when _____ existed and flourished. ______ was a great (activity/feature) that (half/everyone) enjoyed what with there being (xp/gold) aplenty for anyone who wanted to join in. Oh and did I mention how the community was great then, even though I complained about the community at the time? Anyway, _____ is dead now, and I want you to support Jagex completely overturning _______ update to bring it back. We need to e-petition, because that gets stuff done.
  21. Player Killing was never removed. :wall:
  22. Actions in video games and other relaxed mediums are indicators of someone's true personality when their actions have no real world consequences.
  23. The OP's complaint is that the skill is "pointless" and you can't make money off of it. Going off of the first, that's already been disproven. Infinite teleports, extra bank space, etc. The skill isn't pointless. Going off of the second, that's intended. You're not supposed to make money off of it, that's why Jagex nerfed the recent update with the achievement diary. If you make any money off of construction, it'll be minimal, if even to cover the costs. So the OP's argument is based off of invalid points and the skill working as intended. Where's the discussion value? It's not like Jagex is going to revamp the entire skill and remove its place as a money sink just because one person complained.
  24. If you stick numbers to replace letters, you're a bonafide idiot, and none of the two would give someone the idea of using numbers (Number 3 is a copout for stupidity whereas numbers 1 and 2 are valid reasons). Otherwise, as I've already said, 1 and 2 are very valid. Edit: If you can't speak English well enough to communicate with others, here's a protip: Don't use forums where English is the dominate and, in most cases, required language. That being said; While some grammar nazis use spelling to completely abolish someone's point (Einstein could have spelled "you" wrong and there'd still be someone who would discount his theory of relativity based on that), I just use it to compound upon a stupid thread. For example, I find when a thread pops up in the forums "Gr8 idea, modds reed", the end product is going to be just as poorly thought out.
