  1. Jagex taking off the trade limit at christmas? I must've hit a quantum time warp transporting me to the runescape forums. I've heard of stupid speculation, but you're about six light years away from common sense.
  2. Give your money to me next time, I won't invest it in anything except maybe a few farming levels.
  3. Several years from now: You would be here whining no matter what path they chose.
  4. They disappear after the event When you de-summon them, they say that they can be re-summoned by operating the necklace. And the necklace stays after the event. Talk to the imp, he says he'll hang around until after christmas. Says a similar thing in the quest log for the event.
  5. thanks for summarizing he 05 event into 9 steps. i hope you dont mind if i expand on it. making the puppets was sweet. you had to get all the various parts of the puppets from boxes and assemble the parts into one puppet, then you could paint it whatever color you wanted. after you had completed a few you put them in a present box. and made a few more boxes full of puppets.after that you walked to the travely gate and gave them to stranger. aside from the toys, you could choose your favorite ornament decoration style and paint it how you saw fit. then when you had all the decorations you wanted, you went to varrock and decorated the tree with them. much more freedom and content than xmas 08. Except you're comparing two completely different objectives, apples and bungee jumping. 1. Take things, make toys 2. Track down ____ using hot/cold. They're two entirely different concepts with different settings, ideas, and pacings. If Jagex had made this year's event similar to the little helper one a few years ago, you'd just be here whining about how they have no imagination and recycle old ideas. It's a no-win situation for them, ever.
  6. 05 Christmas event: 1. Talk to Diango 2. talk to helper 3. Make toys 4. Fill Box 6. Deliver to Santa 7. Get decorations 8. Decorate tree in Varrok 9. Receive marionette Wow, how riveting. You're just looking for something to cry about, this has nothing to do with the "standards of a holiday event".
  7. At least it's better than ranting about being banned for breaking a rule. I would also like to retract my ranking as Jagex Loving Fanboy Fascist Communist Ignorant Grammar Nazi Jagex-[wagon]-kissing Skillerwho clearly just got owned by a Pure and therefore hate pvp. I was brushing my teeth this morning, and the tooth-brush-scum fell onto my computer keyboard, and downloaded an autoer. I got banned, needless to say. JAGEX WHAT THE HELL? HAVE YOU NO SYMPATHY YOU NAZI LOSER JERK FACE POOPOO HEADS?!?!?!?!
  8. These sentences made me laugh. How is it some random person's fault if a bunch of merchanters manipulated the price of something. I guarantee that only a small part of the rs population was actually a part of it. And scamming people for rares? Are you kidding me? Honestly? People stock up on things using something called "foresight". They think the price of something is going to be higher in time, so they buy it when it's less. And then selling to innocent people? Is making a profit a crime? The people were willing to pay for something, it's not like they were being tricked. If I read it correctly, I think he's referring to people who buy like thousands of a certain item waiting for the price to go up, then cry and whine when the price tanks.
  9. ITT: Someone who never played Runescape Classic whines about how Runescape Classic was better and was a magical paradise full of honor pkers and magical fun times to be had by all with balanced triangle of combat. Delusional thoughts lead to delusional comments.
  10. Bull [cabbage]. I'll have you know that MMO's are well known to be full of articulate, mature, selfless, thoughtful people, both young and old, who would like nothing better than to sit down to a nice meal and give reasonable compliments to the matriarchal member of the family. I don't know where people get these false impressions on the internet.
  11. You have to run about ten feet to get the shade to lose interest in you. Close the door, then run.

Then you're twice as respected. One second, I'll see if I have that red carpet in my closet... Fletching is just the easiest 99 to get. ____________ In the end, it was not the bombs and missiles that defeated the aliens, but the most humble of all God's creatures...The Tyrannosaurus Rex.

All 99's are hard to get, in their own special way (cue kids show theme). Some 99's are bank grinders. These skills can be leveled by sitting at a bank and constantly depositing and withdrawing resources. These skills are fletching, herblore, crafting, and magic (high alch). These skills are hard because, while not brain-intensive, their rank on the boredom level is "OH MY GOD KILL ME NOW". Some of these 99's only take a few days, but chances are you will have stuck a pen in your temple before then. Other 99's are harvester skills. These skills do not consume any money to level, and can turn quite a profit. Harvester skills generally require a lot more clicking than the bank grinders, most have the same boredom rank, and are usually slow to level. These skills are mining, fishing, and woodcutting. These skills are hard to get because your biggest obstacle will most likely be the inactivity log-out feature, not to mention pen-in-my-ear boredom. Other 99's are passive-aggressive skills. These skills are less active, but still require a lot of attention on the player's part. These skills generally require one click for every action, much like in Runescape classic. Such skills include smithing, theiving, agility, prayer, farming, firemaking, runecrafting, and construction. Other 99's are active participating skills. These skills are usually seen as more fun to level, since they're active and involve a lot of bloodshed. These skills include attack, defense, strength, range, health, magic, and hunter. These skills are not very difficult to train and keep attention, and the question of training them generally breaks down to what is most effective. A lot of people I know who got fletching capes first did it because it was the easiest, but moreso because of the profit they were gaining from training it, which they planned on using to get other 99's. Personally, I don't think 99's deserve "respect" (IE: The kind of respect you give someone in real life). Now having a yo-yo, that deserves respect ;)

Obviously you care about it quite a bit. Why can't you just play the game instead of lecturing other people how to play? Nobody likes an eight year old telling them how to do things (omg u r weeners lool) considering you're being just as arrogant as some of the people you're claiming to be against. Also: Someone sounds a little angsty over not having a skillcape and is pulling the "Yea, I never wanted it anyway" routine.

It's like in the Kool-aid commercials, except in this case the Kool-aid man (AKA: uber_leetness) has nothing to offer, and just serves to remind us of the gigantic gaping hole in the wall he just created. I hope you're planning on fixing our wall before you return to the RSOF.
  16. Interesting, I wonder how you can exploit something that is useless. You open the door for copypasta admining. That has to be some sort of exploitation. Anyway: I want some of those items/weapons. Functional or not, they still look cool.
  17. Is this only with female heads and haircuts?
  18. Falador is a very Saradominist city. It's not surprising, at all.
  19. That was for 150th which is not WGS When did Jagex say that it was going to be the 150th quest? Please do find me where this came from, other than thin air (or your [wagon]). It seems to me that WGS fits their description quite well, being the first grandmaster quest and all. Although you are completely within you rights to go find me a quote saying this wasn't the quest mentioned in the future pvp updates.
  20. I hope they skip 2009 like they did with 2007, release a big skill like Summoning, but more polished from the beginning. I also want the high detail skill menu to have the scroll bar removed, and slightly bigger. There's no reason those of us with computers newer than the commodore 64 should be held back by the skeletons still playing on low detail. Seriously though: Jagex should skip 2009 skill release and focus on existing skills, getting current updates out without massive bugs and oversights (IE: Stealing Creation) and FINISHING SOME GOD DAMN QUEST STORYLINES. Oh and I want to see randoms removed, and more distractions and diversions.
  21. This is called GENERAL DISCUSSION. So MOST OF THE TIME people discuss. Well...xp doesn't really matter you could have 200m exp woodcutting and you would gather the same as a 13,034,000 person whojust got 99 wc. On facepunch you get a 7 day ban for ending a post with "discuss". Tip.It needs an idiot culling, like Facepunch does yearly. I'm not referring to the thread starter by the way. Really, all it takes is one stickied poll: "What do you think of an idiot culling?" 1. Yes, we need it 2. No, don't do it 3. HURRR COMEDY (Gets you banned) Obviously anyone who chooses option three gets banned, permanently.
  22. But the question is: Is Runescape more popular than Angelina Jolie among 3rd world children who need to be adopted? It's all about demographics.
  23. They said a while ago that it's had more development time than the entirety of Recipe for Disaster, which is over a year. So yes, it has been planned for a long time.
  24. So Ardougne's getting a graphics upgrade. Cool.
