  1. Um...Rune. Dragon if you can afford it.
  2. He may also have slightly more optimistic outlook towards updates that "[bleep] it, it'll suck anyway, let's just abandon the game and go back to working on runescape classic" Just saying :?
  3. Blue party hat 353.9m Elysian Spirit Shield 122.6m 3rd age plate 22.4m 3rd age amulet 18.5m 3rd age range legs 16.3m Vesta's Longsword 12.1m 3rd age vambraces 5.5m Ranger boots 3.9m Onyx Ring: 2.8m Total: 558 million.
  4. The majority of the feedback is not negative. The positive feedback far outweighs the negative. Sure, Rants may have 100+ people on it, but the pvp worlds have several thousand on at any given time. People enjoying the pvp worlds.
  5. Because people are hypocrites. Player: Omg food noob! *Player eats* Player 2: Safer... Player: There's nothing wrong with eating food to get back hp!
  6. I can't wait to see how this turns out, by the way: *Me fighting someone* Them: If you PK me, I'll sue you for stealing my stuff. Me: I don't live in Holland, NOOB. Them:
  7. I thought this sounded familiar, so I looked it up and found this, the original news story. This happened back in September of last year, so they've been in court for over a year now. http://whaticall.wordpress.com/2007/09/17/boy-taken-to-house-and-beaten-for-runescape-account/ Those kids parents = #-o
  8. I thought this thread was going to be about Holland threatening to steal things on the internet. HOLLAND!!!!!
  9. How about Cthulu?
  10. To save him the trouble, I'll just use an earlier comeback of eatrunearrows: "OMg, y do I even bother posting on these forums? Just full of JAGEX FANBOYS. Validate my points? That's not my job...."

Hiding for 20 minutes constitutes endurance and might nowadays? Translation: I quit. I'm not using the system properly, but I'm going to complain about why it's not working for me anyway. I'm just going to act like a bad boy and refer to selling my accounts, and by my accounts I mean my level 76 main and 35 str pure lolololololol. See you all on Hello Kitty Online, where at least I'm TREATED NICELY.
  12. No, you can't. Read the update, there's a Halloween themed quest coming out ALONGSIDE the event. #-o That's only been said twice already. Jagex isn't going to make holiday items permanently...getable.
  13. I love the guy shouting "Move on, order of Jagex". I usually never say this but: wannabe mod much? There were about twenty player mods standing there shouting at players, what makes him think the group would listen to him?

STOP SAYING THAT IT'S NOT SELLING. If you can't speak proper english, stop trying. When you can't buy it, it means there is too much demand, not that they're not selling. Really, it's not that difficult of a concept. This is about the third thread I've seen claiming that nothing is selling because their BUY offers aren't going through.

Welcome to Runescape PvP, may I take your coat?
  16. If you're coming back, then you didn't quit properly. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.
  17. Taking advantage means to use something, it doesn't always describe abuse of a commodity. By using f2p, you're taking advantage of a free service (IE: Using it), which makes you a freeloader. Absolutely. I've always been in favor of f2p getting to participate in the holiday events. Yes there are. Jagex can't be bothered to cater to you if you say you have better things to spend your money on, but demand extras.
  18. To freeload is defined as "to take advantage of others for free food, entertainment, etc. ", so yes F2p'ers are freeloaders. And Jagex has more grateful, and paying mind you, customers to give updates to. So there you have it. Last I checked, this discussion started because the "deserve" word got thrown around. So what you're saying is that you don't want anyone disagreeing that f2p should get more stuffs, basically.
  19. New? Well, Halloween 08 starts a new structure in holiday events. There is a quest coming out in addition to the usual Halloween event. The quest will be available for f2p'ers for the two weeks of the event (During which time about 70% of f2p'ers will probably not read the front page and miss it), afterwards it will only be available to members permanently. Um...Decorations. Aside from that, who knows. Oh and the zombie hand and scared emotes will undoubtedly make a return.
  20. I got 50 air runes, a 1 dose defense potion, and an iron battleaxe. However there are now several noobs without dds's. How do I know? "Wtf draining my prayer?" to this update. I'm not much of a pker, but I don't mind popping in every now and then to see the shark and monkfish I sell on the Grand Exchange going to good use (By the way: Sharks have seen a 25% increase in the past month. We're back over 1k, baby!)
  21. I'm sorry but this is simply wrong. Most people who play RS are people who, for the most part of their total playing time, are F2P players. It is the free to play players who Jagex really need in order to successfully market their game and get a large base of PERMANENT players, players who will log on consistently every week. (not MEMBERS, but permanent players) It is this base that fuels the constant development of RS. Without the free aspect of the game, there would be very very few players. Why? Well, simply because RuneScape is nowhere near as attractive as the other MMORPGs out on the market. You as a group of people to choose between Runescape and games like WoW or LOTRO or WAR and 90% of them will choose the latter group of games. Those games market through nifty graphics and flashiness. Jagex markets RS through the F2P game. It is far far more than just a "glorified demo". It is the sole reason why the game still exists today. F2P Exists because most people would not go straight to members without trying the game out, even if it is only 5 bucks a month. Jagex may have never expected Runescape to have membership from the start, but that was when Andrew was the only developer and RSC was a project. You can't compare the outlook of a one server game with one 500 max server and one developer, as applicable today. F2p IS an endless trial, and nothing anyone says against it will change that. It doesn't mean Jagex won't listen to f2p'ers from time to time. Just look at corrupt dragon equipment. People wanted small tastes of p2p, and they got it...in 15 minute intervals. Then again, that may have something to do with Jagex recognizing how many members prefer to pvp on f2p rather than p2p. I've found very few people actually believe in the "you suck because you're f2p" stereotype given to members, but many of them are just sick of hearing the same old tired excuses, especially when those people say "Maybe it's not worth 5 dollars". That's just below the belt, really. How would you like it if I used your product, that you had been slaving over for 7 years running, and told you it wasn't worth the price of a big mac meal at mcdonalds? Somehow I doubt you'd like that. To give you a view of how your thread looks from an outside perspective, I work at Target as the trainer at the food court (Don't judge me, it helps pay for college) and our old health standards said that cookies could not be kept on display after one day, and had to be thrown out. A waste, yes, so I talked to the manager and was approved to give them out for free the next morning (They were marked in the books as thrown out, so the official story is that they were picked out of the garbage). A couple customers caught on to this and started showing up at various mornings. Needless to say, it only took a few months for a regular to go completely ape-[cabbage] upon finding that the previous day's goods had sold out and there was no free stuff for him, and that was the end of that policy, after almost getting me a truckload of trouble for theft (The top people for the store had come into the food court for breakfast, as they do every morning, and overheard. Luckily, my manager took the heat, admitting she allowed the giving away of food headed to the trash) If you haven't put two and two together, f2p'ers complaining about having no updates for a game they don't pay for is as pathetic from the rest of our perspectives, as a grown man having an emotional breakdown over no free cookies with M&M's in them. Except he bought stuff from the store, meaning he's actually on a higher level.
  22. You joined last month, you have no place telling anyone here to get out. Don't be the arrogant new guy. Oh and to be honest, this thread strikes down the same path as the "why use ___ weapon" in rants. The only people concerned are those who need to mind their own business and stop worrying about how other people play the internets.
  23. It does? Tut tut, bad coding DanCool999. *slaps your wrist* Yep. It has a habit of refreshing the prices every few times I click on the list to bring it up, and usually goes slower and slower and crashes under a "run-time error"
  24. Corrupt Dragon items do have the same specials, but they're only usable in members. Small correction, but you hit the nail on the head with everything else.
  25. Fortunately you can't get arrested in Runescape for indecent exposure if your armor degrades while wearing it. :ohnoes:
