  1. And that was so funny it had to be siggied! I feel bad for his computer monitor, considering the amount of spit and bits of whatever he was eating at the time were probably splattered on the screen as he furiously wrote his response. F2P NOT PATHETIC GRABLBLBLBLBLBLBLBLB
  2. The Dragonkin know about dragon weapons, assuming I'm reading what you wrote right. One mentioned in a letter that our use of dragon items makes the Dragonkin stronger. Hmm, dragon released to f2p'ers means a lot more usage of Dragon weapons and armor, and that dragon forge just popped up. Coincidence? I think not.
  3. I thought the old Chinese proverb was: Give a man a fish, he eats for a day Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime Slap a man with a fish while dancing, you have a Monty Python sketch.
  4. Reading skills. You need them. But yes, high levels autoing isn't anything new, but it is funny when they get banned.
  5. Hey look, irony. Quit runescape, and has nothing constructive to do, so he trolls the tip.it forums. Get a life. Better yet, start slow. Go outside.
  6. Maybe they're calling you stupid not because you play runescape, but because you're just a bonified idiot. Also: Some of the Blood Elves....Hot. :geek:
  7. Hey let's make YET ANOTHER f2p vs p2p thread discussing discussions on f2p vs p2p. Yea, originality ftw. Couldn't post in the numerous existing threads, gotta make a new one.
  8. Sell Marigolds, I repeat, sell Marigolds! 15 minutes to grow an item that's rising 307 thousand percent daily? Sign me up! There can only be one explanation for the price rising. Clearly the Corporeal Beast has an allergic reaction to Marigold and is sneezing up spirit shield pieces.
  9. ITT: Dear Jagex, I know I haven't played in about two years, and obviously I've forgotten and twisted my views on how the game used to be, but I'm going to comment on it going downhill. Again, I haven't played in two years, can't remember how the game used to be, so I'm just going to make something up about player behavior and use that as my argument. I'm going to refer to the old pkers much like the Gods are referenced to in the game, they were once here. I saw them, but you all clearly didn't, newbs, that's why I'm right and you're wrong if you tell me pkers never acted like that. Thanks, Signed a previous Pker with honor, morals, who likes making pking an entertaining experience for those that I'm killing.
  10. Just Jagex having a lol at our expense, eh? They seem to like to mess with our heads, either they leave a teaser out for too long and people loose interest in it or they completely forget they put it there. *Wakes from slumber* What? Huh? They're calling for...Mourning's End Part 3? Did we even do a part 2? Oh that quest! We released part 3 in 2005, or at least Mod Mark was supposed to upload....Oh god, now that I think about it, Mod Mark hasn't left his office for three years. Can someone check up on him? *waits* He's dead? Oh.....Well, that explains the complaints...and rotting smell. I just thought computer geeks naturally smelled a bit.
  11. Holy wall of text. Rule/Tutorial: YES, PLEASE OH GOD YES. Only on the condition that Jagex actually look at the reports. Bans should be a few days up to a couple months, and if the account is An obvious flame alt, permaban for the main. The tutorial on player etiquette should be an un-skippable cutscene. That way nobody can say "I didn't read it". All players should be teleported out of their area on login and forced to watch the cutscene, and then answer questions. Quests: You don't have to tell me twice. 1 quest per month, pl0x. Editorial: That sounds like a nice feature. Random events: Yes please. I like the idea for weekly tomes of knowledge from, say, moving the exam random into the stronghold of player safety (The classroom is already there, for crying out loud). The mime should move in with the oracle, sandwich lady set up shop next to the tea salesman in Varrok, peasant farmer should take over the unused farm north of Lumbridge, etc. Combat changes: I don't agree with the different types of damage defences. Defense: Could you go into more detail on this? Equipment: No. Instead of ditching your armor every 10 levels, you ditch it every 2-4? Noooooo way, armor would have virtually no difference in stats. Totems: Wow....sounds like WoW spell books: Uh....huh. No. Knockback: Sign me up! In addition, rangers should also have the ability to stun and daze. Party System: Already exists. And a 15% bonus? OH BOY, a whole... .042 extra experience per hitpoint in damage. Equipment changes: No on the battlestaves, no on the attack requirements, no on the dark bow. Firemaking: ...No. There are torches already in the dungeons. I know people desperately want to revive firemaking but...No. The skill has literally no benefits? Hand over the crack, you have an addiction. Crafting: I'm intrigued. Mining: The gem benefits better be good if they're as rare as godsword parts. Summoning: No to summoning times, yes to single combat, yes to choosing the target, yes to running, yes to changing the click option. Cooking: I'm intrigued. Construction: I don't really see any problems here. Graphics: Umm...K. Glitches: Umm...K. Night time: K. Best of guild: Umm....what? Chompy Costume: GIVE NOW PL0X. Yearly Runescape events: I would....love this. Christmas: A sword with stats? No way.
  12. F2P is beginning to expect too much. I hope you all know that now that Jagex is done fixing up the old wilderness, F2P will most likely go back to, aside from holidays and graphics, getting like 3 updates a year. Don't start a rant every update that isn't f2p now.
  13. I'm going to have to predict... Grand Exchange update Or graphics update!
  14. Lost City, just because the next one will be the last, and Jagex will finally have FINISHED A FREAKING QUEST SERIES.
  15. Fist appeal: It's against the rules to pay for someone else's membership, unless they're in your own household. You broke a rule, you got punished. Second Appeal: Umm, I wasn't aware Jagex went specifically into rules. That's not racist, but it is highly offensive, especially considering you're referring to someone who has already received over 500 death threats over the past year or so. I say you need to grow up, stop making stupid comments that get you in trouble, and read the rules.
  16. Yea, then we can make real world trading a new pasttime, because your idea totally wouldn't make it easy, and convenient. All in all, your idea is worse than the pvp worlds. This isn't baby-scape where "dangerous" means "Dangerous...unless you don't feel like it"
  17. I remember a thread on the RSOF from a long, long time ago requesting a quest where Elvarg's mother (or child, or in-law or some kind of relative) was attacking tutorial island. I doubt the person who suggested it still plays, this was like 2 years ago, but I'm sure he'd be proud.
  18. Then stop playing it, and stop posting on tip.it. You could be doing so many more constructive things than crying on a fansite.
  19. Except for the whole...Not looking a thing like Obama.
  20. According to GE Express, most masks have gone up 50%+ in the past month. How are they crashing?
  21. Omali replied to AGoodLay's topic in Rants
AFK training is breaking the same rule as autoing, as well as he's encouraging breaking the rules by discussing ways to afk train. If you're going to call someone a moron, might as well know what you're talking about. Fail.
  22. The "I don't have the money" does NOT WORK, IT IS NOT A VALID ARGUMENT. I cannot go to my cable company and demand that they give me movie channels on top of free basic cable, because I can't pay for it. It is as simple as I stated it. If your parents don't want to use their credit card, pay by those refillable visa's you can buy at the store. If you live in the US, buy those Runescape cards at Target. If you can't buy membership no matter what: DEAL WITH IT. You don't get something for free just because you don't have the ability to pay for it. That's not how it works. I'd like to explain my earlier sarcasm. With all the updates listed, I was pointing out that, it's not like f2p has had a lack of updates this year. F2p has had more updates than any other year, this past year, and this just goes to prove the theory that if you give f2p'ers a hand, they'll take the whole arm. I asked why should Jagex give you all of these updates this year, and then give you MORE UPDATES because you're apparently unsatisfied with the already inflated quantity? You can say whatever you'd like about the updates. Like them or hate them, F2P received a truckload of them this year. You don't "deserve" more, and I'm not saying you deserve less. You get what you pay for, and you pay nothing. The companies pay on your behalf, you do not pay anything, even when viewing the ads. @balazeal: Why did you inject yourself into the conversation as if I had addressed your specifically? I addressed nobody specifically, try reading my post. And when did I say "f2p noobs begging for updates"? Stop putting words in my mouth, especially when you're quoting my right above your response, :wall:
  23. I had a feeling the dragonkin would be coming, considering dragon weapons are now being used on a much broader scale (f2p). The use of dragon weaponry makes them more powerful somehow. Damn you free players! I knew you'd be the fall of Runescape!!!!
  24. Warning: Nerd Alert Steel is created by combining iron ore, coke, and limestone. Coke comes from coking coals, that is crushed and washed, then carbonised in coking ovens to remove byproducts. The ingrediants are then fed into a blast furnace, where the coke burns producing carbon monoxide, removing the oxygen from the iron and turning it into pure liquid. The iron is then removed and taken to another furnace where it is infused with 99% pure oxygen, more limestone, and steel scrap. This oxidises the impurities and leaves you with almost pure liquid steel. Also; Grand Theft Auto helped save a life. A family was driving in their vehicle when they got into an accident, flipping the vehicle with the family inside. The preteen daughter, who was a fan of Grand Theft Auto, recognized that cars can explode when flipped, and was able to get her family safetly out of the vehicle.
  25. Yea seriously, what have they gotten in the past year? assist system, duel arena, more bank space, removing the massive amounts of bots, Grand Exchange, graphics updates, Bounty HUnter, Fist of Guthix, coinshare, Christmas 07, Easter 08, Halloween 08, Gnomecopters, GE Database, Party Pete, Quick Chat, Runescape HD, item lending, bank update, runecrafting guild, trade margin increase, pvp worlds. If Jagex can't see how they're starving the Lumbridge Squirrels of the hard earned and paid for content then...I'm sorry, what? Oh! This is a thread about f2p not getting enough content? Wow, ungrateful children. If you want more stuff, get members. Otherwise, you contributed nothing to the game, why should Jagex reward you with MORE stuff than they already have in the past year? What, getting two updates a month for a full year wasn't good enough for your high expectations?
