  1. If Jagex keeps going with filler quests, I will agree. If they start focusing on what players want, instead of single quest series that are on their own in terms of storyline, then they will be doing it right. But a big update every month? I hope getting the Grand Exchange out of beta would be one of those big updates. If it's a big update, it should fill in more than what two little updates would do, and is better for the game. What would you rather have: A big update that fills up two weeks, or two small updates that you do and forget the same day that they're released.
  2. New format for every month? Big update and small update? Om nom nom, this Behind the Scenes is delicious and filling.
  3. You can't create a black market that effects the prices on the G.E, so no offense to Milton Friedman and Winston Churchill, but they'd be utter noobs at Runescape economics. No it won't. You can still buy or sell as many of them off the record as you want, you just won't be affecting the prices on the G.E I just checked, and was able to buy 11 steel platebodies at once, so either the "10 armor per 4 hours" thing is a load of garbage or it only applies to the higher weapons/armor. So to answer your question: No, they won't find themselves at a loss. Please, wake up and realize that this is only affecting the stuff NOBODY needs to be buying multiples of in a day, let alone 4 hours. Stop throwing yourself in a Captain Hero to save the defenseless Runescapers from a threat that doesn't exist. I am in the USA, and for your information, I'm still an undecided voter
  4. Scam your friends? First of all, if you are scamming your friends, then they aren't your true friends. Secondly, usually a person isn't "scammed" slowly on Runescape, it's more of a * Pker165 wants to trade with you* *Trade* *-.-* "Omg No!" I mean, scamming your friends slowly, what are you gonna do, follow them around and ask for 60k cash every 15 minutes (They would probably realize what you are doing...)? And if it is just an occasional asking for some money, they probably won't care and don't consider that scamming, as the amount is too small to be noticable. If you have a friend with alzhiemers, you're pretty much set. "Hey, bro, gimme 60k" "Didn't I just give you 60k 15 minutes ago?" "No, we were talking about you giving me 60k 15 minutes ago, I had to wait for my trade limit to reset." "Oh ok *gives 60k*" Rinse and repeat every 15 minutes for epic loot.
  5. They're already making generated group/solo quests, it was announced in 2004. As for making RS more like WOW, they should be trying to make WOW more unique, like RS.
  6. I don't remember saying you did say that, reading and comprehending what I say is integral to writing a response. Now anyone who rants on getting banned and gets a response of "It's just a game, it's not like your well being depends on it", well I guess they have proof it can.
  7. Fixed. Not only do they break the game figuratively, but now they're breaking it literally. They must know the end is coming, and they're smashing as much as they can before they go.
  8. You can no longer use the makeover mage while wearing circus clothes.
  9. I have nothing against Gold Farmers personally, I just find it hilarious to prove, by getting them banned, that the old phrase of "Getting banned from Runescape doesn't mean you won't have food on the table" is not necessary true.
  10. It's still too liberal. Whatever happened to buying armor because you planned on using it, instead of screwing over some guy who wants to buy it so he can go fight monsters by buying up all the stock and making him pay extortion prices. The people who do that are no better than people who engage in ticket scalping to scam children at a freaking Hannah Montana concert. *hands tissue*
  11. From today we have doubled (in some cases tripled) the flexibility of the player trade system. All players will notice an increase in the amount they can trade with other players. This means accounts with fewer than 10 quest points will be able to earn or lose up to 5,000 coins in wealth every 15 minutes from trading, free players will be able to earn a maximum of 10,000 coins every 15 minutes by completing the free quests and members will have access to a maximum of 60,000 coins per 15 minutes if they have 270 quest points. Your trade margin will increase with each quest point after 10 - for example, at 100 quest points you'll have a margin of 24,038 coins, and at 200 quest points you'll have a margin of 45,192 coins. This was added to the game because we wanted to offer our players more flexibility when trading or helping friends out, without increasing the threat of real-world trading. Mod Mark Lead Designer - RuneScape Note: Currently there are only 269 quest points available in the game, so no player will be able to reach the 60,000 coin margin until our next quest update, scheduled for a few weeks' time. The trade margin does scale up to that, though, so players a few quest points short of 270 will have a trade margin only slightly below it. In other news... We'd like to remind players that dangerous Clan Wars matches (including the dangerous free-for-all arena) now allow you to pick up some of your opponents' items to replenish your supplies - food, potions, runes and other ammunition - and that there are now NO gravestones in these arenas. This means that you will be unable to recover any items you drop, so only take items you don't mind risking.
  12. I could tel you were a pure even before I looked at your username. How? -DA style rules: Right, just what we need to stop RWT'ing: make it even easier for them to find each other because you don't like prayer, or summoning. Here's a flaw: Set up a match, only magic, no summoning, yes prayer, yes special attacks, no armor, yes movement, no potions, yes food. How many people do you think will fit into that category of random options? Not many, probably none. -Level Restrictions: As a level 50-odd with 73 strength, you're hardly one to talk about fairness between combat levels. -Minimum loot value: how about that just becomes automatic based on what you're carrying? This idea doesn't make it harder to RWT, it makes it easier by allowing RWT'ers to specifically find and fight their customers without any chance at all of someone else intervening (Not that the Bounty Hunter pkers cba to do it)
  13. Forget easy planks, easy charms ftw. Oh and the quest got me to 60 hunter. It's a good guy, in my book. :D
  14. People seem to be thinking that less carpal tunnel = bad in this game. Why? Because they didn't offer it to you? The general consensus seems to be that if I didn't enjoy it while I was leveling up, it sucks and needs to be removed. They have a word for that, it's called being selfish.
  15. PvP

Most threads get to about the second paragraph before they plummet into the ground, but yours managed to do it on the 7th word. Gratz. =D>
  16. Why don't you just come up and punch me in the face for enjoying the actual storyline of a quest, you'd be much more direct.
  17. Read the Bounty Hunter rules. You can only take one piece of armour for each part of your body at each point of the combat triangle. For example, you could take in Verac's brassard (melee torso armour), a black dragonhide body (Ranged torso armour) and a splitbark body (Magic torso armour), but no more torso armour. You can bring in a maximum of 4 wieldable weapons, and up to 1,000 of each type of stackable ammunition (runes, arrows, bolts, etc.). If you need to restock your ammunition, it is a quick trip to the banker north of Mandrith. You must be able to wield or wear any combat item in your inventory. You cannot take in any items that are unrelated to combat, so you're fine to take food, potions, etc. in, but cannot bring logs, spades and so on. You cannot bring any coins into the Bounty Hunter crater.
  18. Maybe they're massing some sort of autoer army for when the pvp worlds come out? You know, in case the rewards really are great. I hope they're all disappointed that their months of using up computer resources was worth nothing when the PVP worlds come out. The more gold farmers losing their next meal, the happier I get.
  19. Informative threads don't inject an opinion in the information. By doing that, they become opinion threads, and thus subject the writer the criticism.

No. What it would do is stop situations like what I mentioned above from happening.
  21. Recipe for an epic thread: ___ skill/activity is officially killed. {insert GF variation} {INsert play on Jagex} Signed, {Name blotched out by tears} P.S: So I'll see you next week to cry about the Behind the Scenes, then? Looking forward to it!
  22. Before updates: OMG Jagax j00 runed game wid babying playurs! STOP BABYING US. After Updates: WTF [bleep]EX t00 h4rd updats lost mah stuf n cuz I ded, BABY US MORE, hold hand pl0x. Oh and I'd like to mention: The old Clan Wars was nothing like Pking, unless you're the kind of person who one itemed and everything else was non-tradeable so you didn't lose it on death, in which case you don't have the experience to downplay this as ruining anything.
  23. Sounds like a fun quest, too bad I have to leave for classes in a half an hour, I'll have to do it when I get back. Also: Best update ever. Also: Did anyone find that little sentiment from Paul kinda out of place? Great to see his passion for quest-making.

Would also like to add one thing: OP should be ashamed that he can't spell "ashamed".
  25. How cute, another crybaby who hasn't read the updates and is going to piss and moan about them without knowing why they were put in. And as for Final Fantasy, I'm not going to trust the decision making of some kiddie playing a game where the bosses take a clan 20+ hours to kill just once. That makes Habbo Hotel seem enjoyable.
