  1. How about having it on your gravestone? For example: "Blah blah gravestone message" 4/23/03 - 9/16/08
  2. Would that passage not make this thread obsolete?
  3. Paying overpriced charges for untrained techs at Best Buy to hit your machine with a bat and return it broken? No thanks. Find someone who knows computers, ask them what's up.

It's not disappointing, it's to be expected. It's human nature to satisfy one's own wants and needs and not care about anyone else's problems. Just take a look, it requires national holidays and the lure of the day off of work to get people to recognize, say, presidents or Martin Luther King Jr. That's why we need police to remind people that it's not ok to riot because your team won/lost a big game. I play the game to play the game, not to babysit other players. They'll get treated exactly how they deserve, depending on their behavior. It seems as if the rudest players in the game, after dying will pm me "omg plz bless grave". Sorry, can't read your text, it's all blurry. I also find it somewhat arrogant for people who expect someone else to "drop everything and take care of me" just because they couldn't play the game right and died. People are always complaining that the players are being babied in Runescape, but then when any form of difficulty comes in, players complain that they aren't being helped enough. Get a consistent viewpoint already.
  5. Forget 2handers, why in the world is the TIF rants forum so absorbed recently in telling other players how to play the game, be it whining about what spots they use, what their equipment is, or what they consider an achievement. Let them play the game how they want, leave them alone.
  6. Do you? Personal attacks aside, you obviously don't. You also have no gasp of the concept of competition, you're probably the kind of person who goes into a multiplayer fps and says "Hey everyone, stop shooting each other, let's play with the physics!" then gets annoyed and starts complaining about how they all have no lives because nobody will listen to you. I put yew longbows on the grand exchange at minimum price, and they didn't sell for a few hours. OMG DEY NOT SELLIN!!! Dudius, you only have two skills over 80 and you still have a skill unranked. I can't take you seriously on any of your opinions on how game mechanics should work if your stats tell me your account is as old as Bounty Hunter. Put up and shut up. I notice you're not complaining about anything that hasn't affected you directly, try thinking about others who play the game, other than yourself.
  7. This. Also, for summoning. Which means xxxgod should gtfo of the granite mining area, it's meant for summoners and questers, not for your noob power mining. lulz.
  8. There are between 50 thousand and 150 thousand players on runescape at any given time. If the problem was with Jagex, you'd think more people than yourself would be having a problem.
  9. I'll make a small change to what I said then: Wow someone calls you a noob/ runs away from a pvp fight. When did these phenomina start? We need more threads with the overall theme of "omg dey run n call me noob, RUNESCAPE PLAYERS SUCK"
  10. Under developed...right. Why not actually play it before you start bashing it? It's been out for a good month now.
  11. There are two portals, one you lose your items the other you don't. And: A thread about someone being called a "noob"? Wow this is the first thread I've seen about this topic in a whole minute! You guys are slacking, if we need anything it's more "omg I got called a noob in a video game! RUNESCAPE PLAYERS SUCK"
  12. We have an events forum for this: viewforum.php?f=112
  13. If you were the last player around, wouldn't you be the best even if you were level 1 in all stats?
  14. Another ___ isn't mean for ___ thread. Thank you for constantly reminding us what you programmed X aspect of the game for, it's nice to see Andrew Gower coming on to remind us all how to play the game instead of some whiny child who wants to decide what others do so he isn't mildly inconvenienced... Oh wait.
  15. Runes: I like the disaster and meteor runes, just something aesthetic: Instead of raising the meteor, why not just have it pulled out of the sky? How do you raise a meteor from the earth? As for the protection rune: Trash it, underpowered compared to prayer being more powerful and less expensive. Also: Change the name from runes to spell tablets. As it turns out, disaster and meteor strike aren't elements. Godbows: Hell to the no. Special is useless (Since you have a .01% chance of fighting someone wearing a Zamorak item), and I wasn't aware Guthix and Saradomin followers were regularly padding their armor and weapons with [bleep]es. Zamorak Godbow throws the entire combat triangle out of whack (So what, they can kill both mages and meleers easily now?). Really? Four dark arrowed missiles per .5 seconds? I hope I'm reading that wrong. Dragon Crossbow/Bolts: Well, they'd have to change the name of existing dragon bolts, but I would have to say no on this as not every weapon needs to have a dragon variant. Gold Dragonhide: Judging by your rune conversions, I can only assume the point/gp conversion rate is 1:10, so gold dragonhide would be worth 200k. 200k for level 80 armor? No way. Invisible Armor: Ghostly Robes, which should have an update to make you 100% invisible. Would accomplish the same thing much easier.
  16. To be honest, if you told me you "owned" someone's runescape skills, I'd have a select few other words to call you than noob.
  17. If you drive across town to a friend's house but end up driving to a different city altogether, you didn't drive to your friend's house across town. Doesn't sound like a bug to me.
  18. As of right now, there are 5 (Count them, 5) threads on the front page of General that have to do with the runescape economy. About 0 of them are original and actually took more than 5 seconds of thought before spewing out on the keyboard in a channel 4 news documentary style "Creamed corn, could this be killing your children? More at 6".
  19. Yea, I'd rather have macroers back and the game shut down in less than a year! Oh wait... #-o
  20. Potion update = Huzzah! Bug fixes = Huzzah! Clan wars = MSSW = Huzzah!
  21. I'm happy to see your concern....I think I'll go call my mother now, make sure there's no n00bs and auctioneers in the house.
  22. I have an idea: How about everyone with an idea on the economy stop making their own threads.
  23. Safety of what can occur, that means "Hey, can people choke on this? Get strangled by it? Get latched onto a moving vehicle? Will it poison them? Could infants pull off and consume parts? etc". Safety testing does not include "Hey, will someone wearing this get his [wagon] kicked by someone else who doesn't like our product?". Like I said, in that case no company would ever, ever, release merchandise. For example, WOW merchandise, or merchandise on Comedy Central shows. I wouldn't have my Big Daddy figurine, nor would I have two small plush dogs from Target (Got them as an employee), and I certainly wouldn't have two foam darwinians coming in the mail with my collectors edition of Multiwinia.
  24. That's a pretty pathetic reason not to sell merchandise, and going by your logic no company should ever sell merchandise, just on the grounds that some kid somewhere may not like it enough to make fun of someone else for wearing it. That would be like JK Rowling cancelling the last Harry Potter book, despite millions of people wanting it, just because some of her fans may be bullied for liking the books. Also: I'm sure Jagex, like any other company, would rather not think of thier playerbase as submissive kiddies who get bullied on a daily basis.
  25. Because insulting the company is the path a child takes when he doesn't get his way. Resorting first to insults just makes the process harder, and makes them less inclined to help you. What's stopping some support person from looking at his account, saying "Hey, there's a rule 1 offense he commited X months ago. Considering his attitude, I think this needs to be acted up with a permaban", and bam: They won't have to deal with your 5 bucks, whether or not he was charged. Jagex has customer support, it is still possible to contact them and get a response through your email (Not inbox, they ask for your email address to respond) in order to help with billing issues, and I'm not referring to the forums. Like I said, if the OP hadn't started off acting like such a child, I would have been glad to direct him to where it is on the knowledge base (Easy to find by anyone with a quirk of common sense), but he blew his first impression, and can find it himself.
