  1. Why? The changes made around that time showed that Jagex still actually cared for the game and its players. I know what they did was pretty drastic, but over time they improved things a little and most of us got used to it. I think undoing those changes was a poorer decision in all honesty.
  2. Ordered VIP tickets too. There goes £180 that I don't really have :(.
  3. Sadly Jagex will patch it when they catch wind of it.
  4. I jelly. I've gotten two SOLs out of my 15 or so tasks I've had. You might say you're... ...SOL 8-)
  5. It really irks me how these kids create these silly little videos with their cool little video effects and their movie music running in the background, spouting off their 'team' names. If it were a simple demonstration and explanation of what happened and what they had done I'd be fine with it, but no they have to start getting all egotistical. I certainly wouldn't be proud of myself if I took pleasure in wasting so many paying customers' time. Random rant, and I'm probably getting worked up over nothing, but Jesus - get over yourself . As others have said, blaming Jagex for this is silly, and they've said everything I would have said on it. I mainly posted here to vent!
  6. It's doable, and as far as I'm aware, within game rules. Is it worth it though? No. RuneScape wasn't designed to be run on a touch device. A lot of people moaned when the iPad was announced to be running iOS and not the Mac OS, but the simple fact of the matter is that for software to run well on a touch screen device (in terms of interfacing with it), it has to be designed to be run on it. RuneScape, like many games, was created with a mouse and keyboard in mind. You just don't get the precision needed from a touch screen device to play RuneScape well at all. It's possible they'll release a version with a suitable front end for devices like the iPad, or just lower spec devices in the future. See here for a snippet of info on RuneScape's 'ortho mode' they've been fiddling about with; the iPad is actually mentioned by Andrew. P.S. I have an iPad and it's a great device - there's really no need for people to bash you for buying one, especially when it contributes nothing to the thread. Meh, whatever.
  7. Cheers :D

I see your 19th is approaching very soon, happy birthday in advance :)

  8. Thanks man! :)

  9. I dunno. Daemonheim's been on the list for quite a while now.
  10. Sarah Palin=/=Chessy Even though they're both manipulative scumbags. But really, I don't think someone's going to jail for hacking some rich girl's Runescape account. Think of all the other cases of people being hacked. Should those hackers go to jail? Will they? I don't think Chessy deserves any special treatment over the average Runescape player. If Jagex were to persue legal action it would be a good opportunity for them to make an example of the hacker(s) as this has become quite a well known hack. I use the term hack loosely, but you get what I'm saying.
  11. E4's where it's at; can't believe no one's showing any love for it.
  12. I've noticed an increase of blue charms too (and possibly others), but I don't have anything concrete to back that up with.
  13. I believe the earliest dates they have stored for accounts is February 2002 ish, which I think is related to the release of the password recovery system. (All going from memory, that could be total rubbish). My account was made in 2001 and the earliest date they could associate my account with when I asked them was Februrary 2002, so I guess the 10 year capes should be making an appearance in Feb next year.
  14. Many IRC channels have bots in that can be used to lookup stats (and provide a lot more useful information).
  15. Not that it really applies to me as I don't play anymore, I voted no. The changes implemented back then were quite drastic, and certainly not foolproof, but I feel overall they did the job. Sure it'd be nice to have the freedom back, but I'm not sure I trust their ability to combat the issues they had if they remove the changes. They might prove me wrong, and it'd be nice if the did, but by the looks of it we'll be finding out shortly... The GE without limits sounds nice though
  16. Meh... Likely to be crappy. At least we should get the BTS tomorrow.
  17. I'd actually travel abroad to go to the next one if they do one. If it's anything like this year's one, it'll be worth the travel expenses. Merc, I regret not saying hi to you lol. I live very close to you (in a town beginning in 'Warmin...' ;)).
  18. Party Pete was easily the star of the show, he was so great. I wonder who he is in reality.
  19. Got plenty more pics to come when I sort them all out. Here is a picture of me I spotted on the RuneFest official facebook. I seem to be holding wine in a lot of pictures >.< lol I'm also at the front of this picture too :P http://twitpic.com/2j1nfn It seems I managed to sneak into shot of loads of the official pictures. I'm in the background of the wrestling video, you can see me in the crowd in the initial video outside in the queue. I was the 100th person through the door so i'm right behind the person who was 99 and the sparkles went off hehe That guy in the green shirt and green party hat near the front... he's... he's peering into my soul...
  20. I said 'hey sexy' to one and he stuck his tongue out at me.
  21. Good idea Merc. I haven't really got any pictures, but I took a video of Mod Reece and Mod Hulme doing a dung boss. The quality's pretty poor, but it might be interesting to see:
  22. It's being discussed because it was mentioned that if they hold another RuneFest event, they won't aim so large as it took a lot of resources and time (what we're discussing) to make possible.
  23. The work involved wasn't done by [bleep]ing programmers moron. Nice come back. Not to further this argument, but a lot of time had clearly gone in to creating the presentations by various members of different teams (they had several members from each department on stage), and they had a number of rehearsals as was mentioned in one of the sessions I saw. So yeah, a lot of man hours were 'lost' from that alone. Anyway... I had a lot of fun at the day. I got to see the genesis and dungeoneering insider sessions, which were very insightful. I saw the gnome awards too; some of the winners were really great. I played a bit of team dungeoneering with some people there (they said it was a competition but I didn't really understand it). The balloon drop was awesome, and so was chatting to some mods. The only bit I didn't really like was the band they had on at the end. Generic crappy rubbish, in my opinion anyway.
