  1. From your sig and your post I predict that you are someone who thinks that Pokemon is to childish to have fun with. Is it a bit childish? Not necessarily, like manoman's example, it can be a complex strategy game. Its mostly about what you have fun with. Do I like Pokemon? Ehh, not really. It was my second GameBoy game, and I have $100+ in cards (no offense, they were ok, and I liked trading them. The main attraction was that it turned my neighborhood into a marketplace  ), but as most things, it got boring after awhile. [/ramble] Boy, that was a (mostly unneeded) spread out thought process. do you know what phrase he's using?
  2. heh, i was discussing today in history about the existence of "conservative reform". Seems like an oxymoron, eh?
  3. Guide originally posted Aug 16, 2004 Original discussion topic (can post replies): http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=340421 Do you dread getting clues because of the thought of Puzzle Boxes? Does hearing "Bentnose" give you nightmares? Well, you've come to the right place! Here, you can find out how to complete and conquer your nightmares(of puzzleboxes, anyways...) and learn the techniques of doing the puzzle box. The first step is to face your fears! Go up to your maker and tell them your not afraid of them. Then, demand the puzzle box! Of course, being assertive and brave to your problem isn't going to fix it(may that be a lesson in life for you). So thats where i come in. After receiving the box from whomever, look at it. "Wow, what a mess. How am i gonna fix this?" you say... By thinking rationally of course Start off by doing these first four pieces: Heres something to remember: even if a piece looks like its in the right place, move it if its in the way Then, try to get the piece thats supposed to fit in the topright corner in the right place. Most likely, it will not fit and look like this: If not, then you have gotten lucky. But that sure doesn't mean you get to walk off! Do the next row. If you've gotten lucky again... then...... Anyways, this is where the Technique comes in. I have taken 3 minutes of my life to label and number them(you're welcome). Here is a pic that contains everything you need to know: YAY! You have gotten the toprightcorner piece in! Give yourself a pat on the back. Now try to memorize this technique, cause you're gonna need it later Now, rinse and repeat two more times for the next two rows, which should end up like this: [hide=Here is a different representation of the technique] The technique above is a longer version of the version I am about to show. This technique, simply, slides the two pieces in, together. They have to be together. Otherwise, they won't go in. Here is your target: ^^^^^You want to move the lower piece (in magenta) so that it is under the upper magenta piece, that is your goal. It should look like this (ignore the arrows for now) VVVVVVV You follow the arrows now, and it'll end up like VVVVVV Summary What you want: What you're looking for: OR What you want: What you're looking for: The same can be applied for the LAST ROW Here it is, with arrows: Summary: You want to move the pieces so that one piece is one spot away from where it should be (above, it would be the yellow) while you place the piece next to it, literally, next to it(the blue) so that they can both move in together (how sweet...) [/hide] Now, you have 2 rows. But as you look at it, you notice there is not enough room to do the technique! for all those who didnt notice, the technique uses 3 rows, horizontally BUT, there are more then enough rows going vertically. So, you must use the technique for the remaining 9 pieces technically 6, cause the last 3 don't need it . Check the end of my "different representation" to see another way to do the final two rows If all goes well, then the last 3 pieces should fit in automatically(or with a few clicks). If not, you messed up somewhere. To check if you did it right, this is what the puzzle box looks like when its done: or if you went to the examiner: and last: If you need the monkey madness quest, then this is it: Remember that the crate next to the panel has "spare controls" that let you view the final result Congrats! You have completed the puzzle box! Give yourself a pat on the back. My tip is to practice the technique multiple times so that you move the pieces the right way every time My Thanks to: The greater demon that droped the clue general bentnose for giving me the box My law rune, for giving its life so just i could get to falador quicky My computer, for crashing and losing a bunch of pics and Finally, Drunken dwarf for giving me some free beer All comments/suggestions/deaththreats welcome VIDEO >>Vid<< (rapidshare) >>VID (megaupload)
  4. it would have been nice if it weren't for the wind. Well, at least all the leaves blew to my neighbor's yard and i dont have to rake it :o
  5. moose hit it on the nose. you already addressed why they were annoyed at you, but what did you do about it? you should have just apologized right there. You obviously have different views than those of your parents (everybody does...) but if you don't learn to acknowledge their side, you'll never gain their trust
  6. heh, i think you're overthinking it. many parts of those quests required individual action. Imagine seeing 200 carts move around, making the mind bar as everyone does it at once, or fifty giant roc birds trying to get the goutweed. more of a clutter issue, i would say
  7. +1, there wouldn't be people fighting over them too much, people wouldn't have to smuggle, plus, if they wanna do em, let em, if it goes wrong its they're fault. you're over-simplifying the issue. no one cares if a drunk or druggie dies. But how about the people who die because of them? deaths caused by drinking and driving kill as many innocent people as death to those drunk drivers, as well
  8. ownage trips today, huh? selling super restores (3) 7k ea :o
  9. i'm going to have to agree with you, a lot of these "theories" presented feed off of common stereotypes, but a lot of you guys are treating them as fact. Might as well say kids in poor families learn bad habits 'cuz they're so poor
  10. Don't ever do that :notalk: Anyways, Stan and I and Lee have a trip coming up tonight. get me a time plx? trip with fastforce and mr [ForbiddenSite] seers ring and two d axes :o
  11. Okay, I added you. Great to have a 126. ahhh another noob :o 8-) i'm open today for trips
  12. We had a bomb scare last week; some idiot wrote graffiti in a bathroom stall and we missed 1.5 periods as dogs came in and went through the whole school thats prettymuch it, though. Last year there were a LOT of fights. I swear, people care too much about what people say
  13. one of my friends gave me a summary of an episode. i dont know how she watches that poo  -.- no offence, of course, to people who do watch it
  14. its actually because your parents are asian. I, too, have asian parents, and my friends and I have established that they are all like that (my school is 15% asian, and the majority shares our view) most have a superiority complex that they never admit. Koreans have it worse, though, some 25-50% of korean parents have a very, very poor relationship with their children despite that, though, they are supportive in their strict, unique little way. If you think about it, they have to put up with all the crap we ask of them, although the talking-back thing is really, really annoying when they're PO'ed. Admittedly, my parents are a lot more lax than others, and manage to partially accept me for who I am. I just learn to get on their good side; try to talk to them when they're not annoyed if you want to establish a better relationship canto or mandarin?
  15. being rich does not guarantee a good life, but, neither does living low-middle class. no offense people, but you guys are delving deep into the rich/poor stereotypes and using those presumptions to make judgments. as for opportunities, yes, rich people have it good. Money makes connections, jobs that make money also make connections btw, what does break dancing have anything to do with anything?
  16. are you in school? pack your own lunch; if you take a lunch, drop it and find an elective/study hall. it'll keep you busy and away from the crap they sell at school plus, you save money edit: oh, and drink water. really. take two bottles for school
  17. obessive, much? you're waaaay overthinking it. Not that you shouldn't, but its a little weird i suggest you stay close until high school, when puberty sets in and you start defining yourself
  18. heres a reference ideal melee/range (this is what i go with) and ideal mage, although there may be slightly better as i do not mage often this is as a two mage/two range//melee group
  19. best setup is two melee/range and two magers - the mages triple as mage, melee, and range. while they wait for rex to spawn, they can range prime, and while one kills rex the other can go heal on/help with sup plus, the solo mager won't have to get owned. i've used this setup many, many times and it is much better than 3/1 setup edit: you should call this team dht, this is just dht with... more people :)
  20. Then why did you say most? :| because a lot of countries run that way
