Jagex update: Fansites obsolete?
A guide for beating barrows... JAGeX never would have posted a guide on how to beat something meant to be hard unless they were trying to make fan sites obsolete... so I'd say that was a key factor in making this happen.

Cwc_lawry - Saying good-bye to another friend. :( Verified
Please have more thought for others. If the next one was a member of your family, would you be so happy? I'm sorry for what happened

First thing you did on P2P?
I followed my friend on a complete tour of the Members RuneScape of that time (Janruary 2005), then he guided me to the gnome stronghold, where I did agility till 27 nonstop, then moved on to Brimhaven Agility which I did until 45, at which point I finally took a break to actually try other things in the members world

A Complete Guide To Canoeing
I will add this to my guide, but to directly answer the question: The tree will only "respawn" after: A. The canoe has been used to go to another Canoe Station B. A second canoe has been produced at another Canoe Station In addition, there is no experience for cutting the tree, only for shaping the Canoe.

A Complete Guide To Canoeing
I'd have to agree that it won't be used too much, although it's not bad for experience if you don't want to just be cutting trees (although quite a bit less profitable and a rather weird way to gain experience...). However I was sick today and home from school so I decided to make a guide :) I must admit, I definitely enjoyed 'canoeing' about, along with writing this guide.

A Complete Guide To Canoeing
Canoeing is the newest form of travel around RuneScape, using the River Lum to go around RuneScape! You can travel from humble Lumbridge to the fearsome Wilderness through a simple canoe trip. My pics are unfortunately not all of the same orientation and therefore slightly confusing. Here is how to get to each: Canoe trips always begin at Canoe Stations, one located in: Lumbridge - Cross the River from the furnace room and go south. The Champion's Guild - Exit the Champions guild, and follow the east wall down south until you see the station. Barbarian Village - Go across the bridge heading towards Varrock, then head slightly south. and Edgeville - Go north of edgeville to the bridge, cross it, and go south There is also an ending point in the Wilderness - Run due north of Edgeville, through the Green Dragons But beware! There is no Canoe Tree there for returning, and you will end up in Level 35 Wilderness! For today, at least, this has been a popular PKing spot, preying on those who are a little to curious. At each Canoe Station, with the exception of the Wilderness, there is a NPC ready and waiting to explain how to make a canoe and their uses! From left to right they are: Ex Sea Captain Barfy Bill of Lumbridge - Favors the Dugout Canoe Tarquin Majoribanks - Favors the Stable Dugout Canoe Sigurd the Great and Brainy - Favors the Log Canoe Hari - Favors the Waka Canoe Each, if asked, will identify the best canoe you are capable of making and explain its uses if they know them (Hari is the only one who really understands the Waka) At each station there is a Canoe Tree. Simply cut it with an axe and it will fall onto the 'platform' to the side. The tree will only "respawn" after: A. The canoe has been used to go to another Canoe Station B. A second canoe has been produced at another Canoe Station After this, click on the option "Shape-Canoe", at which time you will be presented with a menu of canoe choices: The Canoe will then need to be pushed into the river: And then you simply click "Paddle Canoe": And you will be presented with a menu of locations you can go to: Click on a location, if it is not the wilderness you will be paddling along a river next to a field: Or if you choose the wilderness, you will be shown paddling through an underground tunnel: Many thanks to DiLord for providing an animated copy! Now for the Canoe Types: Log Canoe These stylish canoes, designed by Sigurd the Great and Brainy have an intense history involving a game of Smack the Tree. They are the simplest of the Canoes, requiring only 12 Woodcutting. They offer a smooth ride to the nearest Canoe Station on either end, with the exception of the Wilderness. Therefore, you will be able to travel from Champions Guild to Barbarian Village with luxurious ease, but not all the way up to Edgeville, that would take a second canoe trip. Stats: Level(s) Required: 12 Woodcutting Experience Gained: 30 Woodcutting Experience Distance Traveled: 1 Station Excluding Wilderness Dugout Canoe This simple canoe has a less interesting history, but is used by Barfy Bill, as it is balanced enough to prevent sea sickness and he can't get river sick. These canoes, requiring 27 Woodcutting, offer a pleasant ride to the nearest Canoe Station, and the one following it. Therefore, you will be able to travel from Edgeville to Champions Guild easily with one of these, but not as far as Lumbridge, which would require a second canoe trip. Stats: Level(s) Required: 27 Woodcutting Experience Gained: 60 Woodcutting Experience Distance Traveled: 2 Stations Excluding Wilderness Stable Dugout Canoe This canoe, slightly more stable and better fit for the river, is used favorably by Tarquin Majoribanks. They require 42 Woodcutting and allow for travel amongst all Canoe Stations excluding the Wilderness. Stats: Level(s) Required: 42 Woodcutting Experience Gained: 90 Woodcutting Experience Distance Traveled: 3 Stations Excluding Wilderness Waka Canoe This canoe, favored and used only by the most fearsome Hari, is the only access to the Level 35 Wilderness "Station". It is the only canoe capable of traveling through the underground passage. At 57 Woodcutting, it allows you to travel amongst all Canoe Stations. Stats: Level(s) Required: 57 Woodcutting Experience Gained: 150 Woodcutting Experience Distance Traveled: 4 Stations Including Wilderness A few important notes to remember: 1. Upon arrival your canoe WILL sink. For every canoe trip you will have to make a new canoe! Edit: This is the best screenshot I could get. I'm still looking for a better one if anyone is willing to provide one! 2. If you construct a canoe at one canoe station, leave it, and construct a second elsewhere, the first canoe WILL be destroyed. 3. There is NO CANOE TREE at the Wilderness spot! There is NO returning from there except through running or other forms of exit NOT involving canoes. 4. Canoes can be made with ANY axe, from bronze to dragon. 5. And, as I forgot to add: This is P2P ONLY. Thanks Mummi for answering that. 6. Cutting down the canoe tree offers no experience, only shaping it into a canoe gives you experience. Enjoy canoeing and have fun! P.S. I am still trying to get a picture of a Canoe sinking, my computer isn't fast enough to screenshot my own canoe sinking, so if anyone would like to provide that picture, I'd be happy to use it and give you credit! :) P.P.S I also have pictures of the actual stations, not just their map locations. I will post them if people want, just thought I had already put in enough pics :) List of Edits: 1. Added "P.P.S" 2. Added Pic of Canoe Sinking 3. Added List of Edits, directions to the canoe spots, and important note 4 4. Added important note 5 5. Added important note 6 and put in requirements for tree to "respawn" 6. Added Animated Rowing pic.

Total Runescape Resurrection
Congratulations! You actually managed to read the title of this topic! And today's prize is... a chance to read the entire topic before posting! Yay! I think he was responding to what was said in the previous post Overall I think it would just be a waste of time for JAGeX to program... sorry :?

the so called swear word
I personally view cursing as the inability of a person to intelligently display their feelings, and as such do not appreciate curse words in the least. I'd rather the censor stay firmly in place.

RIP Shiva Discussion thread.
Gilgamesh, are you trying to make a bad name for yourself? Because I think it might be working. I never new Shiva, but from all of these posts, I'm incredibly sad that he has left us, RIP Shiva :(

yew bows
Yew bows were not added in because they can fire rune arrows, and therefore free players would need rune arrows too, basically all of the members advantages in ranging would go down the drain. Before the major ranging update, free players were limited to Normal or Oak bows, then they were given up to Maple and Adamantite Arrows.

Genie Xp
To add to that: How many people with 99s have no stats that are relatively low? Obviously people like Zezima don't benefit from genies, but about 99% of people who play the game have a skill low enough that it does help somewhat. I use genies for herblore every time I get them (Currently at 52) and certainly it won't get me a level, but it helps me get there. I would not want to use a genie lamp that gave me an unfair amount of exp purely because I can click for a longer time.

new way of training prayer
Okay, so if you only get experience for praying at an altar with 0 prayer left, bring bones and bury them with as many high level prayers on as you can. When you finish a load of bones you'll probably have 0 prayer, recharge, go to bank for more bones, and repeat. If its 1 xp per second prayer is on, do the same thing as above, but leave only the lowest level prayer on, as it would last the longest. Prayer is SUPPOSED to be hard.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
Supporter #98 here  Only problem I have with it (I believe I posted this in my support post also) is that it has only 250 bank spaces. Right now members banks have 352 spaces (8 x 44), so it would be a huge loss of bank space (What hundred items would I get rid of? :( )

armour barrows vs dragon dragon cost heaps but is it worth..
The thing about this debate is that both have their advantages and disadvantages: Dragon - Certainly it's expensive and less defense than Barrows, but at the end of all your training, you can resell for full value, whereas with Barrows, you're tossing all that money away and can only resell a small amount. Barrows - Better defense, but as I said, you can only resell for a fraction of the price you spent training with it. These are both assuming the ideal conditions of NOT losing either armor from death.

easy way to get rid of stalkers:
Great job on bringing up a year + old topic  Please leave dead topics DEAD :!:

NON-MEMBERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO FLETCH! (i need 1000 votes!)
This is almost as bad as  If you want to range on free play you have to pay the price in game. NO Edit: messed up BBCode

Coffee in Runescape
If it were added, I think it might involve the White Tree Fruit from the Garden of Tranquility, as it heals health (3 at a time) and energy (8 at a time). Perhaps turning it into a drink form would make it more effective

Hot Keys: Faster Reactions in Runescape
123fork, he said self-assignable, that means you can assign whatever you want to whichever key you please. If you have a big red button on your keyboard that says "This key is to be used as a hotkey for RuneScape when it gets hotkeys", than by all means, use that as your hotkey. If you want to make it impossible to type the letter "z" without doing the 'joy jump' emote, that's fine too. It's whatever you want to assign to whatever you want to do, if its ever added in, JAGeX isn't going to say "Okay, you can only assign things to keys "e", "s", "t", and "q"" (and if they do, it kind of defeats the purpose of self-assignability). Toxicologist has repeatedly stated that you may assign whatever you want to whatever key you want.

joust tournaments!!!
Of course you do, its your idea  As soon as one thing remotely related to what people want is introduced into the game, they want that thing. You can't add in horses for jousting and expect everyone to be fine and dandy with not having horses for anything else

cubed boid's monk's hood idea (part 2) *lol*
Wouldn't monk's book be similar to Book of Saradomin since they are monks of Saradomin? And wouldn't the monk battlestaff be a wear Saradomin Staff? Saradomin despises violence, so why make a cape based on going out to fight? The boots, however, would make pretty good sense, just please make your posts a little more detailed so its easier to figure out what you mean by things.

a new weapon suggestion the sword of courage
I'm also sorry, when I corrected all your posts it was more so I could read it than to make you feel bad. nothappening, he's already changed his idea to a lower reward... Not sure I understand the Sword rewards still, the experience rewards should probably be put down just a little more to 20k unless the quest is extremely hard (you still haven't said much about the quest, would really help if you had that). Guthix likes sheep? :|

a new weapon suggestion the sword of courage
wasnt the crystal bow 750k? You get one degraded to 2/10 (obviously not full value)
