  1. I can ride my bike backwards. I got bored one day and decided to learn it. I'm also forced ambidextrous. I got bored one day and decided to learn to write with my left hand. Hmm... Apparently I also have super powers when I'm bored.
  2. Hmm, this is very interesting (sleeping bags in RS2 Beta). I was talking about "fatigue" in the skills tab which I thought was interesting. Do you happen to have screenshots of sleeping bags in RS2 beta? or have some unique keywords I can head off in search of? Thanks :D I don't have any pictures and I did some googling. Couldn't find anything. I might be mistaken, but I'm 99.9% sure that in the first couple weeks of beta there were sleeping bags.
  3. I know for a fact that energy was not suppose to be a replacement for fatigue. When beta was first released, there were still sleeping bags. Run energy was bugged when it first came out. If you had a negative weight, your run energy would increase.
  4. Misplaceditems.com will be a stellar dawn fan site ran by me. The way it will be ran will be heavily based on how tipit is managed and will open the day that the stellar dawn beta begins.
  5. Tipit calculators update too often to make an offline version of an app. Most of the time you are wanting to calculate experience, you will be near a wireless network, so use that to browse to the site.
  6. You want to know something very strange? I was able to recreate this error on the tip.it main site in IE8. When I went to test it on the test server, I wasn't able to recreate the error. The code is exactly the same, and the test server is a copy of the main server. I've no idea what's going on.
  7. I don't know this as a fact, but after 7 years of watching Jagex at work and doing my own programming, I feel safe in assuming that you will need to exit the screen and reopen it for the new prices to populate.

    Silly fears

You mean those creepy ones that close their eyes? /me shudders I forgot my fear of those. They're just so creepy, staring at you...

    Silly fears

To the people who are afraid of swinging doors, and hurting themselves on them: I had this same fear as well. What I do, is before I reach for the door handle, I pop my foot direction behind the door. That way, if someone does open the door while your reaching, it buffers on your foot instead of your hand.

    Silly fears

So, today I'm sitting alone at work, not paying attention to what's going on around me, when I hear a kind of foily rustle... I check the door, and noone has come in, so I go back to working. I hear another foily rustle, as well as a crinkle of paper. Again, I check the door, and nothing is there. Suddenly, a shadow falls on me. I look to see what's casting the shadow and suddenly jump up and scream in fear. It is a half deflated spongebob balloon "walking" toward me. It was one of those gift baloons that have the accordian arms and legs and don't float all the way up because it's legs keep it grounded. For as long as I can remember, I've always been afraid of deflating balloons. They seem to have this evil power of walking around rooms and surprising me when I'm least expecting them too. I've had one balloon leave one room, cross the hallway, and stare at me while I was sleeping... Does anyone else have any silly things that their scared of and would like to share?

  12. Wow, three pages in and not one person has mentioned perl. I know php, perl, bash, and javascript. But my favorite out of all of them is perl. There is very little that it can't do. Most of my work is dealing with 2-5 gig files and processing them for various things. Perl makes difficult things easy. Ever try processing an 8 gig, extremly detailed xml file and put the data into a database? Not many languages can do that easily.

    Why don't I bruise?

Never have donated my blood, but I've never heard anything about bleeding slowly from nurses who have to take my blood. Also, I've got pale olive-toned skin, so I don't think it's a camouflage issue. I'm olive toned as well, and even after a horrible donation, it's hard to tell I'm bruised. As for the rest of the problem *shrug* I've never really been bothered to look into it. Sure there is a good reason we have a hard time bruising.

    Why don't I bruise?

I have a difficult time bruising. The only time I do, is when I have a really bad plasma donation, and a lot of blood spills under my skin. As others have said, having thicker skin will affect how easily you will see your bruises. Also, you have to consider your skin tone. The rare times I am bruised, it is hard to tell that I am, because my skin tone blends in with a light bruise well. I'm also a very slow bleeder, and I think this the main reason I don't bruise. If you don't bleed easily, you won't have much of a chance to bruise. Have you ever donated blood/plasma? Did it take longer than the other people around you?
  15. Fatigue version 2. When you could drunkenly thieve using a cocktail shaker. I was pissed when they fixed the cocktail shaker :( The next best time was directly after the release of Legends. I was level 65 at the time, and was the lowest level legend around.
  16. You don't know me, but I'm sure that since you have a christmas birthday you don't get enough of these.

    Happy birthday!

  17. Here is the link to tipits info on shade robes Basicly, they give a prayer bonus without any negative attack bonuses. The items your thinking of are the ghostly clothing. From a miniquest
  18. I'm skinny, but I move slowly. I'm rarely in any hurry to get somewhere, so I'm going to enjoy my time getting there. These posts did remind me of one thing that grosses me out. Folding paper. If you fold paper, then crease it by grabbing one end and running your fingers across it, it gives me nausea so bad that I've thrown up because of it.
  19. I was just wondering if there were any things that grossed people out in a way that is unnatural or strange. I have 3 things. 1: I hate walking into someone elses warmth. If someone has been sitting in a chair for a while and get up, I refuse to use that chair cause it has their remaining warmth floating all around it. The warm chair doesn't bo Even worse than that is walking into a bathroom that has someone elses warmth still there. Makes me gag. 2: The sound of urination, male or female. Aim for the bowl, not the water! 3: Wet/damp clothing moving off and on my skin. It's enough to make me stop breathing if it happens long enough. Naturally, I rarely ever go swimming because that means I'll have to wear my wet shorts untill I get home.
  20. I tried a lot of the tracks multiple times and in different situations. None of them did anything for me. Wait, I take that back. One of them made the tip of my hair itch for a half minuet.
  21. It's a 3 step process. 1: Connect our item id to the GE id. This is pretty much just searching the ge for the item we want and entering the number elsewhere. 2: Use the curl library to get the GE page. That gets the exact same thing you get if you go to it. 3: Parse out the useful information and save it.
  22. I earn my clay the same way you do, start with level 1 and work my way up. Normally, if someone is at a high level area begging,I get half a load of clay and see if their still there. If they are, I give them the clay and continue on. My first load of clay is nothing but equipment that I deposit, so that's how I feel I help out my team.
  23. My name goes back a long way. Lets see... Up until around 2000, my online name was tnt87 because back then, you used names that were simple and identified yourself. When the trend started changing to using something else, one of my friends registered the hotmail address "puzzledmind". I thought that was a cool name, so i spent a week trying to think of an original name. Eventually, I came up with misplaceditems. (still have that address too :|) First time I tried to register for Runescape was... 2001 I think, and misplaceditems was too long, so I registered misplaced. Played for 10 mins and quit. That summer, someone got me interested, and since I couldn't remember the password, I made misplacedme instead. Now, anytime I need to use an online name, I'm some variation of misplaced. Misplaced, misplacedme, misplaceditems, misplacedmeitems, misplacedmyitems.... I have a similar story with one of my alternate personalities, but noone knows who that is :)
  24. Nope, just for extra features that require information being saved. (Comments, stats, favorite pages, suggested edits)
  25. Correct I will have less time, but I'll still be avaliable to help out on Tip.it (at least as much as I am now) Absolutely. I'm wanting the site to have a strong community feel, and am currently debating with myself if things would be better if website accounts are connected to forum accounts, or if they should be seperate. Of course! Glad to hear. I don't know if I can get all of the planned features in before release, but (unless they release tomorrow or something) the major components of a tip site will be working with room to grow on.
