  1. Snow everywhere in Yorkshire, non is really settling though. Those killjoys at school now have to go grit everywhere and bring out the tractors to remove any snow that would be good enough for chucking. :(
  2. My school sixth form started a team as a joke, and actually got through to some kind of national tournament. I don't think they did too well though :P I played it once on an open-day type thing, it was quite fun, the fribees we used were rubbish though.

When there is a clear wish for the original debate to continue, then yes, I can expect you to stick with the original discussion. If you want to carry your debate on, like I said, start a new topic. I split your replies off but if you really want I can still retrieve them for reference.

Agreed, which is why i've tried to split off all the posts related to male/female superiority or history. You can take it elsewhere, but if you bring it back here, i'll lock it.
  5. Nope, IP's can be masked and all that. In that case, what a ridiculous idea.
  6. As usual, good luck. I'm curious, have you planned out an order for what you want your 99's in? For example, this first, then this etc. etc. Or do you have a rough idea but are going to play it by ear?
  7. Would making them register IP addresses be more secure?
  8. Oh, I'm sorry, did I have a point of view that you didn't agree with? I'm sorry my opinion offended you, but I don't really feel that old age is going to be a big party of my life. No but lung cancer is a blast! You go for it!
  9. Oh yeah they're strong, they just prefer image over strength too much for me. As a hobby I think it's fair enough.
  10. There is, but it's several months old, and was kind of dead. I don't have a problem with a fresh one.
  11. There are quite a few good reason to smoke. ~Improves your mood ~Increases your alterness and reaction time ~Warms you up in the winter ~Let's you get out of lot's of sticky situations by taking a "Smoking break" ~Gives you a "Sexier" voice over time The negative effects of cancer, death, emphysema, etc.. aren't actually that bad, if you consider that your going to die anyway, and that your chances of getting cancer even if you don't smoke are pretty good. Who wants to live past age 60 anyway? For the last few decades of your life do you really want to be perpetual burden on your friends and family, while losing your memory, your dignity, and your bladder control? Better to live life to the fullest while you can. I'll hold you to that, you muppet. What a load of rubbish.
  12. I'll be 26, so hopefully i'll of graduated from university, and will probably be working hard in London in a job I enjoy.
  13. I absolutely disagree. :P plz explain bodybuilding= body in good form, which is great to look at (at least most people like to look at it.) For example models. They're not bodybuilders perhaps but they do stay in shape, and thats y people like to see THEM on the covers of magazines and such. + you gain strength, and u get bigger weight/power lifting= U look hideous (againt to MOST people) , though u gain a lot of strength. Heart problems, back problems and so on and so forth Professional bodybuilders take a lot of steroids and hormones that could be very damaging in the long run. Proportionally, they're not as strong as they look. It's just a matter of opinion, but i'd rather gain strength and power and as a consequence tone my body. That said, I have a lot of respect for their dedication.
  14. Haven't seen this new one, but i'm ashamed to say I kind of semi enjoyed those Scary Movie-movies. But then again, I am partial to a parody now and again. Yeah, they're crap in terms of everything that makes a film good, except they're mildy amusing with friends now and again. And that's probably why they sell. It really is mindless humour, but now and again that's harmless fun.
  15. According to my playlist titled "great intros"... :P Can't Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers Cabron - RHCP Pinball Wizard - The Who Money For Nothing - Dire Straits Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns n' Roses Coming Back To Life - Pink Floyd Misirlou - [bleep] Dale and his Deltones It's an oldish playlist though, some probably aren't that great, and I need to add some more.
  16. If by not smoking then they are no longer your friends, then good riddance. No true friend would pressure you into smoking, at all. Don't ever, give into peer pressure. If you want to do something, do it for your own reasons, not someone else's.
  17. I absolutely disagree. :P
  18. Little IP checking thingy ftw. First time i've used it as well :P
  19. That's certainly an interesting take on it, using thermodynamics, but sadly it is fundamentally flawed. You may have touched upon this in your argument, but assuming that the universe is a closed system in the conventional sense is an assumption, and quite a big and dangerous one. Scientists don't know a lot about the universe. String theory for example, gives rise to the possibility that gravitational waves are "leaking" over from parallel universes. Don't ask me to explain that fully though, because I couldn't. My point, however, is that there are so many things in this universe (like black holes) that make it a lot more complex than a simple closed system. Look into vacuum fluctuations and you'll begin to see what I mean, this universe will never entirely become a burnt out shell. Don't get me wrong though, I agree with you in so far as that I believe in a creative force behind the universe(s), but your thermodynamics argument needs a little refining
  20. I just thought i'd clear this up assassin. Hydrogen gas could only (on an industrial level) be derived from water. So if you get it from water and it ends up recombining with O2 to form water, there is no net increase. The sky also has a limit to how much water it can hold, if there is too much, it condenses and rains. In other words, it's not only incredibly clean, but the balance is kept intact, unlike the balance I referred to above. I'd always understood it could be derived from methane on an industrial level. You live in the UK, so i'm surprised you haven't seen all the scare stories in the paper recently about how cheap air travel is destroying the planet. That's the kind of spin I object to.
  21. You stole my nick :shame:  Sorry about that Korla
  22. Locke, surely you're not trying to apply the laws of the "creator's" universe to the "creator" itself? Forgive me if i'm misunderstanding.
  23. Oh if I could choose another nickname... "assassin" and all it's various incorrect spellings is kinda common. My bizzarre and annoying choice of numbers at the end however isn't, and I haven't seen any other assassin_696's, unsurprisingly.
  24. Been there, done that, got the thread Locked
  25. Read a section, then imagine you had to explain that section to someone else. Practice on either a mirror or someone else until it fully sinks in for you.
