Just being devil's advocate here. What if there was no animal testing and companies tested all the chemicals in their cosmetics on people. A company makes an eyeliner with chemical x that makes the eye fall out, but instead of just a few rats suffering the consequences, the company's comsumers had to. Doesn't that substantiant it? What Parabola said. Even if you can't test it on animals there are still other ways to ensure a products safety. You wouldn't release an untested product on humans.

I agree with insane in that you get what you pay for generally, and you can't expect a Squier to sound just like a Fender. BUT I think as long as you don't get the cheapest Squier out there you can get a pretty good guitar nowadays. I used a Squier for a few years and it was fine for learning the basics on, and I still bring it out now and again for a good thrash. Fender's are a very nice guitar, but because there's such a brand image associated with them you'll pay through your teeth for them. You can easily get a Strat equivalent from a good Japenese brand that's a lot cheaper and sounds just as good. Maybe try Aria Guitars. Also don't forget to look at Gibson guitars or Epiphone, their cheaper (but better than Squier) equivalent. I recently bought an Epiphone Les Paul Studio Edition for ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã180 and it's a lovely guitar, very nice.

I'm all for animal testing for medicines if it's done effectively and as humanely as possible (no needless cruelty). Cosmetic testing I disagree with though.

Try rebooting it. Mine does that now and again. Hold the centre button and menu for a while until the screen goes black, that should restart it and hopefully solve the problem.

I don't know exactly how the American system works but if it's similar to the British system then it's a brilliant thing to do. It teaches you so many essential life skills and really broadens your mind. I only left my scout group because I didn't get on at all with the leader.

Well don't do it for a living then :P Personally I could never do it, but some people do get payed lots of money to test video games. Rarely is it just "playing" though.
