  1. If you look at any of the guitar virtuosos, they all maintain that there's no substitute for practice. Most dropped out of school for this kind of career, lucky for them they managed to make it big. Bet there are thousands of others who didn't. My advice, work hard at school, get decent results, play your guitar on top of that. Your goal will probably change in a few weeks anyway.
  2. English/Irish/Dutch, I believe.
  3. A Deep Purple Anthology thing. 4 cd's of the Purple :)
  4. Old bump by rushrock, but whatever, it's a reasonable discussion. Having said earlier that I like Fenders, I'm also a big fan of Ibanez and Gibson now. The Les Pauls have a beautiful tone and the Ibanez JEM is simply stunning.
  5. I've been twice, i'd easily go again :)
  6. Why's any game worth playing at all? Because it's fun. Exp per hour doesn't mean anything in this life, but the amount of fun you have playing the game does.
  7. Pfft, not even worth trying for then :P I can't see what this would have to do with MEP3, it's just one of those metaphors they like.
  8. Please don't bump old threads, it hurts them.
  9. I agree with your gripe about the attackers exp, i'd like some. We're not hitting huge numbers or anything, it's not killer training, but i'd rather we got some than nothing. Other than that, I love this game, it's what Rs should be about, fun and enjoyment. I've killed the queen a few times. Sometimes with scratch teams that just about get by and others with decent teams. If you have a few friends who are up for a game every now and again it's well worth it.
  10. They are proving tough to get. I've killed 30 so far. One prayer pot lasts me about 6 wyverns. Drag dagger special is useful to have, also bring a holy wrench. :) I want me a pair of those legs now.
  11. A combination. If it looks like an interesting topic i'll read it regardless of poster. Or if i'm unsure about the topic but I respect the poster i'll look at it anyway. Like this one.
  12. Moved to music and movies.
  13. Attacker, rsn same as forum name.
  14. Yeah, that's what I consider a true phobia. However, my fear of spiders is pretty irrational (they can't hurt me, there's no reason why I should be scared of a small spider when a large beetle doesn't scare me) which is why i'd call myself a mild aracnophobic.
  15. Since edited my post, yeah you're right it does remind me of that DHMO.com site :P
  16. Ima big boy 6 and thwee quarters :D Whatever, i'm 16
  17. I love diet coke, but don't drink that much. Not too worried about this though after the reading those few posts above sounds like it's just one of those things, I mean everything has side effects when taken to excess, so as long as you're not drinking a few litres of the stuff every day you should be okay.
  18. Based on Merc's reasoning, i'm afraid i've changed my views on this site. I think the idea of it is fantastic, and wouldn't have a problem at all by clicking the link daily if the money was going to charity. What I didn't realise though is that it's a profit organisation with so little money going to charity. On that basis I won't visit the website if all i'm doing is funding an american plutocrat taking the advantage of people's willingness to help. Unless i'm shown some evidence to the contrary (i.e. thousands of cups of food really are being generated and given to charity daily) then I won't be visiting this website. Shame, because it's such a great idea in principle.
  19. That I disagree with. Clicking the link takes maybe 10 seconds out of my day, if that. Fund raising, I know, takes a lot more time. I give to charity when and where I can, but clicking that link daily is something I can do everyday. The efficiency and reliabilty of that website I am yet to be convinced either way over. I can see Merc's point, but in the same vein what if it does go to charity? In which case my 10 seconds is worth it.
  20. I have mild aracnophobia, but i'm getting better with it. Whereas previously I couldn't be in the same room as a spider, now I can grab them with some tissue paper and flush em down the toilet. I'm still not good with large spiders though. I also am pretty afraid of jellyfish, but that's probably because I was stung very badly as a child.
  21. Moved this to Tech and Computers. I'm no expert, but I think it depends on the file. Somethings, like images can be viewed when in zipped form, but i'm not sure about videos so you're probably just best extracting it and opening it from the new file.
  22. I'll wait until some proper teams get sorted before I go, doesn't seem like the most efficient game at the moment.
