When I played tennis more than I do now, I used to do a few laps of the court. 3 at 50% pace, 2 at 75% pace and 1 at 100%. Then I'd do a few warm up stretches, mostly for my shoulders and arms. But I found the best way to warm up was just to have a gentle knock up with somebody else.

Thinking about it the closest i've come to proper meditation is at the end of my karate classes where we have a 1 minute meditation session to meditate on the lesson. I can switch off fairly well then, but normally because i'm so tired :P

I'm against the war being started, it wasn't necessary and would clearly create a collapse in the fragile stability of the middle east. However, sadly now that we're in there (coalition) we have to stay there. To pull out would mean not only leaving the country in tatters but create more problems in the long run. I've been reading about the new commander of the American forces and his new approach and it seems fairly sound. Clear, hold, build, whilst nothing new will now be able to be far better implemented with higher troop numbers. Time will tell.

ermm no they do it to survive and they kill what they need. it is just like lions hunting zebra, apart from the lions don't use the zebra skin :-X My point is this guy is saying he is against animal fur, but obviously in some cases where it's done sustainably then it's okay. Obviously though fashion fur farming isn't right.

I don't value a hamster's life to be worth that kind of money and effort on my behalf. I'd put it out of it's misery now.

I agree that fur purely for fashion can be a bit cruel when the animal is endangered, what about native tribes or inuits who've used animal fur for years? The native american indians used buffalo fur I believe for just about everything. Of course they used the rest of the buffalo as well, but would you complain about them doing that because they were using fur? Also, cleaned the thread.

I can't do it. I find it fairly easy to physically relax but I rarely mentally switch off. The best way for me to do it is to listen to some relaxing music. But trying to empty my mind has the opposite effect for me.

Phone, yes. Anything else, no. It is a fine phone with a terrible UI & crippled bluetooth (file transfer disabled). Both my parents have them. File transfer disabled? Not on mine, but I don't use bluetooth much anyway. It's great for what I need.

I think dogs that have been specifically bred for fighting should be banned, because they have such a violent nature. But all dogs can show violent tendencies, even the most adorable ones. I don't have a problem with big dogs, as long as you never entirely trust a dog and train it well you should be okay. I think I fancy a golden retriever myself.

I appreciate that this topic is very hard to discuss without going into religion, but after reading through it the discussion has been kept nicely off the religious discussions that brought about the ban on them.
