Nah, there's a safespot in lvl 1. Actually I have a personal fav. spot, since it's only 2 steps to pick up my arrows (around a corner) and the minotaur spawns in just the right spot... Anyway I meleed to get the bottoms. Gained 2 attack, 6 def and an hp lvl in the process. I'll b going back there once I'm done with my goals (range and sceptre). Also, I'll have to try with prayer to be 100% sure, but I believe the catablepons hit with RANGE, not with mage (I brought rune and dhide, and rune seemed to protect better)

The day the stronghold of security cam out I decided that I was going to collect 100 of every piece of the sceptre, though I fear I may end up staying at the minotaurs a while longer, as they drop iron arrows faster then I use them (So i plan on going for 75 range in 1 swoop) Edit: Oh and no, the items CAN'T be withdrawn as a note :(

For sure the phat, simply because anyone willing to put the time and effort into it can get 99 prayer (and without spending a dime, boneyard anyone?),but few can get phats, as they tend to rise in price faster then most people can make money Anyway... Next time you're going to post, make sure you actually have some idea as to what you're talking about. Here's a few things to think about: If phats are so bad for the economy, that means it would IMPROVE if they were removed. However, hasn't it occured to you that all the people with the cash to buy phats, if phats were removed, would then flok to other items? There's 2 types of people who fall under this category: People who are so insanely rich they keep their cash in phats so as not to hit the 3 bil money cap AND Considerably rich people with a few hundred mil to spend Now, if phats were removed, these players would need something else to spend money on... The first type would invest in expensive items, d chains, barrows sets etc.(Because that means fewer items need to be held to keep his/her wealth in mainly items) This would skyrocket the prices of all expensive items... The other type of person would most likely invest in skills, buying up all the coal,ess, and all other basic materials they could get their hands on. This would shoot up the price of all the basics. Both of these things would be BAD, and the main reason prices have remained so firm in rs is because of rares. Rares aren't bad for the rs economy, rares MAKE the rs economy.

I've had full zombie, but I dropped everything exept the gloves (which I keep because it looks good with my full dhide/green mask outfit =P)

I'd say total xp is more respected, not because people look at it, but because high total xp usually means high lvled skills. I'd be much more impressed with someone who has, say, 4 skills at lvl 99 then I would be with someone who has 8 skills at lvl 80. People, when looking someone up in the highscores, often check for the highest lvl. Odds are the guy with more total xp but a lower total lvl is gonna have a better top stat then someone with a high total lvl but low total xp.

The stats on the sceptre are: Attack: Stab +0 Slash-1 Crush+7 Mage+4 Range+0 Strength +3 Defense: 23140 Stab+2 Slash+3 Crush+1 Mage+4 Range+0 Prayer+0 Here's the finished run from the minotaurs, along with a clip from my bank of the pieces I got so far: As for why I'm doing this, I like to set non combat goals when I train combat, it gives me something to focus on. So far I've gained 5 defense lvls, 2 attack lvls (about to be 3), 1hp lvl, 2 full combat lvls (about to be 3), I've picked up about 50 gems (which got me to my next crafting lvl), and 5,000 iron arrows, as well as 1000 steel arrows. All this since the update came out...

I'll post another pic when I'm actually DONE this run, at lvl 84 you don't really need food... Oh and btw I'm trying to get 100 of each piece, I'm already done the sceptre bottoms and I got about 30 right halves so far... Edit: I'm not sure about the emerald, but mino's DO drop rubies and saphires

Hehe Elphinstone I'm still laughing at that abs thing :lol: Do the people in runescape stink? I mean, we don't have any showers... Why don't bows have strings? How exactly do you carry 10,000 arrows in 1 quiver? Do people protest the killing of dragons for their hides? *Pictures signs saying "dhide is murder!"* Why do we start off as adults? Where does the M.O.M. get all those boxes? Why is the sky black and sunless, but the ground bright as day?

Why does runescape have cows and calves, but no bulls? Why is the quiver on your left leg when you clearly use your right hand to draw arrows? Why am I so addicted to a game that is little more then hours upon hours of mindless clicking? Why doesn't the evil chicken drop runes? How did they get the lesser all the way up to the third floor of wizards tower? Why doesn't iron rust? Why is there no shell left over when you eat a lobster? How do you eat a pizza in 2 bites? Or a lobster in 1? How do you pull a SHARK out of the water with a pointy stick? Where does the duke of lumbridge get all those dragonfire shields? Why does the which in draynor have cheese and tomatoes?

Interestingly enough you can attack OTHER people's guards, I'd heard that guards were attackable and when I saw the other guy in this pic get one, I decided to attack it, not expecting to be able to.Well, I got proven wrong =).

I checked it out, and just like runes, you cannot tele with the sceptre in higher then lvl 20 wildy

Lol I think I might siggy that :mrgreen: But ya seriously once you lose the scepter, you gotta start all over and get a new one, you can stack up on the pieces though, to make life a little easier. :mrgreen: amusingly enough I had no idea that what I'd found was a part of the scepter when I got my first piece. It was the left skull half and I got it from an ankou, purely by accident as I passed through the lvl. I then set out to find the other half of the skull, got it from a minotaur, and it's descriptions said it looked like it was made to be put on something... Having recieved no septer I put 2 and 2 together and got the other 2 pieces (and I truely belive those ugly cow things are the hardest to get the drop from, dang I hates them :P)

Wrong. It's been there for a while, and I know this because it was there when I was powermining in the scorpion pit, which I finished over a week ago.

Ok, the conputer I play rs on is a piece of junk. 500mghz p3,382mb of ram...well, you get the idea. Whenever I play rs, it takes up roughly 100mb of ram, not in itself a problem, unless I want tro have anything else with signifigant ram usage running. Here's the problem, that ram is STILL being used even after I close rs, which can be a massive pain as I tend to get on it through windows explorer (just because of what I do almost daily on my comp, i go through a few files before loggin on). And for those who are unaware of this...ending the windows explorer process=bad. So because of this I must now log out and log back in, causing all my antivirus/spyware junk to start up again...and with my slow comp it takes quite a while. Anyway, my question is: Is there any way that I can get windows to stop assigning 100mb of ram to explorer without shutting down the process?

Dammit, why must you do this? Seriously, stop posting, you've beaten me to the punch twice in the last half hour :P. Serisouly though it's completely true, jagex won't make rares untradeable, because they have such a huge influence on the economy of rs, plus there's the MASSIVE amount of people who'd quit if they did. (I wouldn't be one of them, I spent 9mil on my green mask and even if it became untradeable I'd say it was worth every penny) The whole jagex going incogneto thing is laughable, think of all the people that own rares who DON'T want to sell yet. Their rares would skyrocket in price as the number of rares greatly decreases. Finally, why do people hate rares? Seriously, if you don't like them don't buy them, unless you do (or try) rares will have barely any noticable impact on your rs time. Removing them however, WOULD. And not in a positive way. Leave em alone, pretend they don't exist. Period. Don't try to ruin the game for others (rare owners) simply because you dissagree with the principle of something in the game.

I don't see what people have against buying skills. Think about it, you get to lvl up a skill you don't like easily by using a skill you do like to pay for it...so what exactly is wrong with that? Worst update so far was pure ess :x

Not agreeing with the pulling weapon idea, since people could use this in groups to drag people wherever they please (including deeper/multi wildy), and it'd be a nuisance even if they didn't, but maybe if they made it do nothing (like the rubber chicken) that'd be cool. The ring sounds cool, I like the idea, ditto for the emotes. Not sure what I'd do with a new toy though, I don't like the one's diango's got now...

There were 2 people who introduced me to runescape, 1 introduced it as "diablo2 with a million dollar budget cut", so obviously it never caught on with him, the other liked it for about a month, then got hooked on WoW, and now hates it.

Erm unless I'm mistaken and the numbers in that graph don't mean millions of gp, your graph is quite a bit off, though I can't vouch for easters pumpkins and santas, I can say with reasonable certainty that: green masks are now 21.5mil blue masks are 28mil reds are (roughly) 53mil
