  1. Of course there will be less people training it, but I don't believe it's dying. When I voted in the newest poll today, hunter was one of the most beloved new skills. I voted for hunter, too. I think it's an excellent addition to the existing skills. I'll continue training it once I get a few other things finished first. My hunter level is currently 71.
  2. That was what people called it. The name of all party hats were just "party hat". They changed this pretty recently, I think.
  3. Ah, the golden times and good memories. By the way, does someone remember any more about black/white magic (good/evil, whatever it was called)? I remember a cool black magic spell called "Fear". It made any NPC run from any battle, if I recall correctly. I also remember seeing the gates of Asgarnia closed as well as gates to Player Owned House areas in Varrock and Falador. The area in Falador is actually still pretty empty, like it still was reserved for that purpose (the east part of town). The addition of banks where you could store items aside coins was maybe the greatest addition ever too. And I remember ghost town renamed Edgeville. This was when it got the general shop, later it got the bank too.
  4. Just did approximately 1500 trips, got every possible item from there. Doses used in the whole process: 0. I only used food.
  5. Trimmed cape only shows that you have more 99s too. For example I have 4 99 stats and my trimmed firemaking cape only boosts firemaking. The only benefit from the trim is +4 prayer to equipment stat. And yes, you can buy several capes. I got 3 firemaking capes, going to alch two of them.
  6. Yeah, they are glitched. In my firemaking emote the fireball was just floating above me as monkey.
  7. Dharok. All the others are easy, but Dharok is the only one I really must get to safe spot in the tunnels. And I kill every enemy that pops up from opening the doors. Once I had over 150 kill count before Dharok appeared! Usually about 10-30, though.
  8. Hehe, I was the 4th person to vote Old Man Ral today morning :)
  9. Ok... So, the question is: Can I get more than 150K exp per hour ectoing dragon bones?
  10. Still looking for help... If I'd buy all the dragon bones for 99 prayer, ectoing would save about 17 mills coins. However, I think 1 saved hour means 1 million coins. So, if I can save 17 hours with gilded altar, that would be better than ectoing. All I need is exp rates per hour now.
  11. I'm happy with my name. I actually started this account in the fall 2001 to get a better name...
  12. Yes, they do. And that's why most of the people don't even build dungeons. If you build a decent one, you can't build all the other rooms you'd need because of the 20 rooms limit.
  13. Could someone please post their experience rates per hour using dragon bones with both the methods mentioned in topic? I'm just wondering which one should I use... if I can save more than 1 mill per hour using Ectofuntus, I'll definitely be using it instead of my new gilded altar.
  14. I haven't got one yet. Thingummywut - 107 combat. Actually I'm working towards one. I want to try it with best possible equipment. And I want to get all myself. Currently I'm doing barrows for full Guthans.
  15. I'd just pay for membership and go mine to a p2p world... But for a f2p southeast Varrock mine with 4 iron rocks would be the best place. A crowded world, mine all the time and drop the ores. For slower exp you could also bank the iron.
  16. The thing is that I would eventually like to have all the highest items in my chapel and all the possible ones would be aligned to Guthix. I was wondering if this was possible while still having the Bob icon.
  17. How do these god symbols and icons work in my chapel? If I have a Guthix symbol and tear it down, will the items still be aligned to Guthix? And how about the Icon of Bob, will it align the items to Bob or something? (KB says that it doesn't align anything.)
  18. If the PKers think it's fun doing some abyss PKing, it's ok. People do way more stupid things anyways, too. But if they do it for the loot, that's plain stupidity. The occasional glory amulet isn't very good profit. Abyss crafting is.
  19. Level 82-99 thieving now in the Pyramid. Found a total of 3 sceptres, all from grand gold chests (rooms 2, 7 and 8). Just keep trying, it's really, really rare. I've been extraordinarily lucky, I think. Many friends have gone from like 80 to 99 without any sceptres at all.
  20. Killed lvl 2 imps for about 6 months and got the scroll. Won the champion, too! No other scrolls done on me :|
  21. But there isn't really a mistake there, is there? From what I've heard the both forms are correct. I prefer 'staves' personally, though.
  22. OK, all rooms tested. I'll double-check it again and will correct if I find errors. So, strength experiences from the sarcophagi as follows: Room 1: 20 Room 2: 30 Room 3: 50 Room 4: 70 Room 5: 100 Room 6: 150 Room 7: 225 Room 8: 275 I would also like to confirm some rumours false: 1. You can find another sceptre even if you've found one and have it with you. Speaking to Tarek or Guardian Mummy not necessary. 2. You don't need free inventory space to get a sceptre. It drops to the ground like any other artefact. And as Soul_Tar pointed out, the correct spelling of Desert Treasure pyramid is Jaldraocht. And it's Pharoah's sceptre, not Pharaoh's. Not sure if this is a typo of Jagex since the correct spelling would of course be Pharaoh. Perhaps Jagex don't want to copy real world too much. :? The form Pharoah appears in several other places in the game, too.
  23. Wow, now that's VERY interesting!! We need someone to check and confirm this - anyone who can, please get some xp values so we can get this into the guide!! I'll do it. Just found my another sceptre from the room 8 sarcophagus. This took less than 1 mill exp, whereas the first one took me about 4 mills :) I'll post later today when I've checked strength experience from every room.
  24. A small correction to the guide page: The sceptre isn't really tradeable at Simon Templeton. I'm a happy new owner of the sceptre, and I tried to sell my goods to him as usual, having the new sceptre in the inventory too. Simon Simpleton... eh, Templeton... indeed offered me 100 coins and after that there was a debate between us whether the sceptre was a fake or not, but there wasn't actually an option to really trade it for coins. Also, I've heard from many pretty confident sources that the sceptre can also be obtained from the urns. I myself got it from the grand gold chest in room 2. Personally I believe that the chances for obtaining it from urns is only way lower. By the way, I gained almost 5 millions exp (from level 82 to almost 91 now) before I got the sceptre. Always looked through the seven gold chests and all the urns in room 7 + some urns in room 6. EDIT: Also found out, that as the sarcophagi don't give thieving exp, they give strength exp. Noticed this because I got a strength level-up in room 8 when opening the sarcophagus.
  25. Woah, nice, that's even usefuller (Sp?:D) than 2 phials! :o Actually, it's not. I personally have 3 iban staves, but if I use the charges of one staff, the others won't work either so I have to recharge anyway.
