  1. Not too bad, how long has he been playing? I'm not keen on highlight videos because, they are just that. You can make an average player look amazing, or an amazing player look average through a highlight video.

Go get yourself a blood test. Glucose, lipids, etc. First instinct says YOU ARE A TEENAGER, second is diabetes.
  3. Well over 20 thousand. Starting back in primary school I spent most of my $100 a week pocket money on games. That figure just incresed as I got older.
  4. Sorry about the lateness of my reply, I've been bed ridden with what can be politely explained as stuff firing out both ends. I've actually lost about 15 pounds :S I'm making the assumption a mile is 1,600 metres. The definition I have been using and the topic of running 1 mile in 5 minutes or less. I'm under the impression the OP brought up 5 miles in 25 minutes and the age groups to try present statistics that only apply to his experiences. The vast, vast majority of people I have known throughout my life could run 1,600 metres in 5 minutes. Could they run 8,000 metres in 25 minutes? I would say, yes, a majority (meaning 50% + 1 or more) can manage to do it. But again, I come from a country town. In my country, in the outback towns, sport and labouring is all there is to do. Even as a teenager, before I was playing sport professionally, I was employed in trades that attracted physically fit people. Don't ever be afraid of "starting anything". The reasons forums are so great is because everybody presents their experiences and opinions so that other people can learn from them.
  5. Feel free to add it, no need to credit me. The fact that you actually read a post and didn't play sheep means more to me than having my name next to a few characters
  6. Eight dollars is not that much. On a 28-day month You are paying 29 cents a day. That is a quarter and four pennies. That is equivalent to turning three aluminum cans into a recycling factory(We get 10 cents a can we turn in). Paying 29-cents a day and skipping a few days of membership is not that much of a waste. It is one less coke you will have to buy in a month's time. OT: This might work later on, but not now. A lot of people get confused with some of the current options available. I know it's not much, especially in my country. Hell, I spend twice that on coffee each day. I've had membership since 2 days after it came out without lapse. Not everyone feels the same way, which is something the community as a whole doesn't seem to grasp. Some people think at roughly $8 a month its a bargain. Some people think it's a rip off, even if they play 5 hours a day. Some people who only play on weekends don't feel their money is justified. Most P2Pers call them fools. The system I propose benefits all parties for a minute effort.
  7. Please, for your own sake, introduce more exercises for your back and core muscles. Otherwise you will do yourself a long term injury.
  8. I've always thought the easiest way to increase the member base is to introduce a system where you purchase a month of membership and it's per day you log in. A large portion of teenage - young adults don't want a membership because they can't play every day, so they feel it is a waste of money. This is a simple fix which will take little effort to introduce, will increase member numbers and won't drastically impact profit margins.
  9. Australia has nothing to worry about. Their own citizens don't even want them to win, especially if it means we get to host a future world cup.
  10. I thought it was a rubbish fight. Did you see 2 fights before, the skin head bloke? Now THAT was good watching!
  11. It would be more than $200, but I doubt I would.
  12. Typical build and cut, plus he is flexing in the 2nd picture along with oils and tanning lotion.
  13. Actually, I'm pretty sure it can, seeing as how I see it in practice on a daily basis. Your own groups you presented are biased, so I felt entitled to do the same. And saying you are too busy is a load of [cabbage]. Wah wah, tough story, cry cry, hard life. You aren't anything special, don't make excuses about being too busy. If you are serious about being in the best physical shape you can be, you find the time.
  14. I said that I could list around 200 just from a domestic sporting league, not that there was ONLY 200. I offered up the figures I have available to me. How about you provide a source that proves that over 50% of the worlds population can not do it? Exactly, you can't, so stop being a smart [wagon] and thinking statistics are everything. I will stake money on the majority of people, meaning at least 50% + 1 as you explained to me (forgive me for being less intelligent than you, I've been out of high school for a few years and the fact that I'm at university in conjuction with a full time job suggests that I probably have a lower IQ than you) that I know can run a mile in 5 minutes or less. How about this statistic? In the town I grew up in, I know that as of Wednesday the 25/11/2009, MORE THAN HALF of the residents can run a mile in under 5 minutes. How do I know? I watched them do it. So from the data obtained in this test group, which is how these studies are done, we can extrapolate that over 50% of people CAN run a mile in under 300 seconds. My source is myself, which you pretend I made up. Want to play this game? Cool, I'll call [cabbage] on everything you present. According to you, that makes it all made up yeah? Best way does not equal easiest way and you should know thats a load of [cabbage]. You need a few extra calories? Have full cream milk with your cereal instead of skim. Ta da. How much time did that take out of your "busy day"? Drink a glass of fruit juice instead of water. How hard was that? Yeah, I'll bet that took you a long time. Have a gatorade instead of a water when you work out. Wow, where did those hours go? It really is hard to find these extra calories if you are dedicated about your health, isn't it? Exercise doesn't burn too many calories, you just aren't ingesting enough calories. Now, a final line which I could've done earlier. Where did I ever mention a majority of the population can do it? Mm, whoops, good work buddy, I like the way you read, you sure you don't work for my government?

    props for being honest
  16. is a natural cycle we are just accelerating.
  17. I'm a little disapointed with this years movember. I wasn't allowed to participate :(
  18. If for example, somebody tests medical product on an animal, I'm cool with that. If somebody tests cosmetics, then I'm not cool. I'm okay with sacrificing the health & wellbeing of a few animals for the benefit of potentially billions, but not so that some slapper can have a cheaper foundation. Do exactly what is needed to survive. The Australian aboriginals used to incapacitate animals but keep them alive until they were ready to be consumed. I don't see that as being cruel, it makes perfect sense to me. They do the best they can to provide for themselves with what they have available. It's just the food chain, survival of the fittest, etc etc etc
  19. Good to see people doing the smart thing
  20. Don't eat less. Eat the same amount, but in smaller portions spread out over the day. Up the intensity of your running, try doing it say two lots of 45 minutes, one in the morning and one at night so you'll be able to push yourself harder than in 1 session. Stop drinking soft drink and juice, avoid fried foods.
  21. Mate, 6 weeks if you are lazy.

latissimi dorsi for the plural, latissimus dorsi for the singular. And correct, it's mostly back muscles.
  23. age, current height, current weight, available equipment, available funds, available time. Give us information. Long story short? Cardio. You dont need to do hundreds of crunches. You just need a low body fat percentage 14, 120lb, no equipment, not buying anything, plenty of time. I'll have a look into cardio Height? At 120 pounds you should already be close, assuming you aren't also 120cm tall. I've got about 70 pounds on you and at 175ish cm im pretty darn short, yet I have pretty decent abs, once I cut back to 175 they are just about perfect. Get a swiss ball for Christmas. Rebel has a 20% off sale on the 4th of december.
  24. This. I would've assumed he'd never been to a gym, he looks like a normal teenager. I've also found most gym owners to be pretty unhelpful, although one of the owners at mine is fantastic. He spends all day walking around giving advice or just doing circuits with people to keep them motivated. He also gives free massage :)
  25. I am quite sure you are overestimating the general population. The requirements for the US army for the 1.6K (1 mile) is 9 minutes for guys for Class C, 8 minutes for Class B, 6 minutes for Class A (only a select few are able to reach that level). Also, I know I can run slower for longer distances, but I am trying to optimize improvement vs time. I do not have 60 minutes per day to go running 10 miles. Also, 60 minutes of running burns too much calories (in my case, I am at 5.7% body fat already...) Select few? You americans must be pretty damn fat. And it does not burn too many calories. If you want to step up your workout, you NEED to ingest enough calories. The only time you should have a deficient is when you are trying to lose weight. This thread is oscar. Verify your sources before replying. http://www.arselsl.qc.ca/documents/sports/SECONDAIRE/cross/RESULTATS_2009/Juvenile_M_rang.pdf These are the results for 16 year olds 6 km (schools send their best 10-15 runners), only 19 runners do under 25 min for it... and the first guy is sponsored by Adidas (does the company sponsor random people?) 20:53 for 6000m = 4.79m/s. 1600/4.79= 5min 34 seconds, that doesn't even get the 5 min per mile... And yes, I said consume carbohydrates... carbs = calories. Okay. My entire class at the gym can run a 5 minute mile. Most of my football club can run a 5 minute mile. My PE S&F class back in high school could run a 5 minute mile at the end of term. Go down to ANY football club in Australia and most of the onballers will be close. If you wait a few days, I can give you a list of about 60 people still in school that can run 5 minute miles, a few of whom have much more muscle now than most people will have at their peak that haven't done any excerise for about 6-8 weeks depending on if they made finals or not. In fact, If I could be bothered doing the leg work for TAC cup names, I could give you 200ish names right now of people aged 16-18 that can run 5 minute miles. And your quote is right above you. You say running 60 minutes burns too many calories for you. That's a load of [cabbage] and proves to me you have no idea what you are talking about.
