Why is this tolerated?
If it IS serious the people should still have the right to say it. And hell yes it should be socially acceptable to poke fun at anybody. "Friendly banter" Is when we give them [cabbage] about their accents, their patriotisim, their military, their government... Hell, you need me to keep going? Americans (another stereotype here) are generally the most fun to pick on.

Steak is also bloody expensive. Drink milk. I'd have assumed milk was already obvious. Steak is only a little bit more than chicken here

Do you use slang words/phrases?
Are you from Mornington? ;) Of course I use plenty of slang, I'm an Australian. I tend to develop a bit of a stutter/mumbling problem around the press/high society because I try to make myself understandable to everybody. I just ask for what I want. Fanta, Coke, Pepsi, Lift, etc etc. If the menu has generic names ie Raspberry, Orange, Cola, etc then I ask for those. When talking about carbonated beverages on a whole, I'll use the term "soft drink" around Australians or I'll attempt to localise by using Soda, Pop, etc.

Harder than Nomad?
It was a double entendre. Sexual innuendo and sailing.

Harder than Nomad?
And by cane you mean sword, and by sword you mean pistol?

Harder than Nomad?
Won't happen, that won't be fair on "pures"!

Harder than Nomad?
The ability to kill higher beings tends to lead to a bad path, quality-wise, in any form of entertainment. Hopefully Jagex can avoid taking it too far.

How Much Money Have You Spent on Video Games?
 Exactly what I thought. That's crazy. Back in the day, all I got was $2 a week. That was around 10 years ago, at that. This was more like 17 years ago. Starting from when I was 4ish I used to spend 4 or 5 hours 6 days a week helping on the farm. Naturally when I was younger it was basic tasks and once I got turned about 12 I was on a full farm hands wage, so about 800 a week.

The Running Thread
How long is piece of string? You can take a total of one step and lose weight. Sure, it'll be unnoticeable, but you'll burn fat. It depends on your diet, lifestyle, age, sex, height, weight, climate, altitude, terrain, intensity and a slew of other factors I could list, but hopefully you've got the message by now.

Skateboarding to get fit
bell pepper, bell pepper! Nah, but seriously, try and find a vegetable you like/can tolerate on a regular basis. A good source of fat is avocado or nuts. For dinner last night I had burgers with lean beef, avocado, tomato, capsicum, carrot, lettuce, cucumber and onion on soy and linseed rolls. They were amazing and about 300 calories each. Variety is the key. Don't try and eat rabbit food non stop, because it'll make things even harder. Throw in some of the food you like, in small portions. I hate eating chicken non stop, so twice a week I have some red meat and just run an extra 10 minutes that day to balance it out.

Water, Pop, Soda, Sports Drinks
Ever read the label on a pack of gum? I don't know about your country, but it mine they all say "Contains Phenylalanine; May have a laxative effect if consumed in large quantites" Just about every product in Australia containing Phenylalanine has the same disclaimer on it.

Killing Floor - Co-op Survival Horror

Water, Pop, Soda, Sports Drinks
Try spending 6 months on it as a supplement, while being told to drink caffeine free diet coke instead of coke. And we pay our nutrionists $150k....

Water, Pop, Soda, Sports Drinks
Because people believe the added vitamins, sugar and salt make it better than plain water. If they were eating correctly, they shouldn't need it, except in a recovery situation. Diet drinks contain Phenylalanine which can sometimes induce a laxative effect and can act as an appetite supressant. Diet drinks and gum are full of it, which is why diet drinks are so popular. They have very little nutritional impact on people, make them feel a little bit fuller and taste (in some peoples opinion) better than water.

Water, Pop, Soda, Sports Drinks
They aren't necessarily bad for you, they just aren't as effective as water. Vitamin water is good, its got vitamins in it ;). But you shouldn't need a specific water to get your RDI of nutrients. The only drink I'll touch other than water is gatorade and that is to replenish salt and sugar levels after a match.

Building a new comp from parts
Get an i7 920 and an ATI 5970. You can play Crysis at 2560 x 1600 with all maxxed settings without a problem. Want a cheap route? Get a GTX295 and a physx card. In any case, to play games at 2560 x 1600 with max settings including AA, that power supply is useless to you.

Whaling
The only issue I have with it are when a whaling vessel passes through our coastal waters which they have recognised as ours. Japan doesn't recognise anybodies claim to land or waters in and around Antarctica except their own. I say whenever they enter our coastal waters we should attack. Same as with asylum seekers.

Building a new comp from parts
It's not much use, especially if you want SLI. You'll need a quality power supply approx 1000 watts with at least 50 amps on the 12v rails. May I ask why you want SLI? The new ATI cards are plenty powerful on their own.

Muscle building advice needed
Do pushups on yor knuckles. Supposed to be better for you anyway and doesn't use the wrists. Just make sure you're stable in that position so your wrists don't suddenly bend. It's still putting pressue on his wrists. Not a good idea for somebody that skinny, he is unlikely to have enough muscle mass to prevent injury to his wrists. Pushups on your knuckles are better, they encourage an increase in bone density

Muscles under fat?
That's because they already have a lot of muscle mass :) We follow the same general plan in my profession, though some people just stack on extra muscle instead of fat and then play the first 4 or 5 rounds a bit heavier.

Muscles under fat?
... Did you think before you type or just kinda mash the keyboard? You will appear "toned" by having a low percentage of body fat, be it in a certain area or overall. So, you are already "toned" under the fat. Yes, it is possible to increase muscle size and strength and THEN burn fat. It's a pretty standard technique, sometimes called a "bulk and cut" or similar depending on the region. As long as you have enough protein in your diet but still have a calorie deficient, you will burn fat and maintain muscle mass. This is assuming you maintain the same level of physical activity.
