  1. Who would pick a day like this, like Daan pointed out, as an international Star Wars day? :\
  2. Frysian isn't a language! :P
  3. Are the servers down or what? How exactly are you going to pick up a black hole?
  4. Apparently English isn't an easy language, in theory at least. But since so many people grow up with English television, English games, English music, forums, comic books etc, that makes it a lot easier. I myself am Dutch, and I must say personally I speak both languages equally (that could be in the negative or positive sense ^^). So I'd say, thanks to the conditions, English is moderately easy.

You shouldn't ask how many shootings it takes before people stop bullying, you should ask how many shootings it takes before Americans realise that guns are DEADLY WEAPONS and should NOT be LEGAL. "Bullying" is a social structure or learning-cruve which has always excisted (and will always excist) on any age, in any age and is part of growing up and "toughening" up. It can't be controlled or forbidden and it's good it isn't. It happens everywhere, just not everywhere peopel SHOOT eachother because they can. Just because children in Holland don't blow eachothers brains out doesn't mean there's no bullying going on here. Amazing how narrowminded and shortvisioned Americans can be.

Microevolution is true. Macroevolution isn't. It's not that hard. Anyway, the reason macroevolution can't be true is because some things, such as the human ear, immume system or whatever organ, are too complicated to be created by just adjusting to the surroundings. Compare it to a bike evolving into a motorbike, I mean it looks the same and all. But to come from a bike to a motorbike it takes a lot of stages which have no function on itself to get to the point where you reach something new that is new, useful or gives you an advantage. Now you get in the sphere of intelligent design, where something has been guiding these evolution into a certain way where species have gained "things" (that being body parts, abilities or whatever) that on itself have no use at that point but are needed for a more advanced mechanism.

Aaaah the good ol' days! Best thing was when Scapeboard got shut down and all the angry people were sending (see: sending, alot of) e-mails to the hosts of the old forums. And eventually they gave tip.it a responce along the lines of "OMG STOP THE SPAM E-MAILS WE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE T_T" - that was brillliant! :D
  8. Blame Canada?
  9. School, or high school for that matter, doesn't suck - as soon as you get into a serious university or start a serious job you'll realise 'twas the best time of you life. :D (unless you were some kind of emo who just sat in a corner being alone or something >_>)

Omg, so suprised so many still live lol! Hey rick :D Hey Mad :D HEY MATT :D:D Hey Spade and all the people all I missed :D And hey to all the people who still who do nothing more than sit on forums and whine all day long ^^ And yes, I still listen to Coldplay. Not as obsessed anymore though. :) Started playing WoW about a year (or so) ago and kinda stuck to that community. But got an email from Nik asking if I could drop by on their IRC server and so it started. :) And yes, escaping from Matt's basement wasn't easy :>

Just popped by to see how many people from the "olden days" still hang around here :D
  15. I love the episode with the "4 Peter's", that one cranks me up! ^^
  16. Thats what I was thinking :? Your playlist has some really good stuff in it 8) Meesy is a girl, not a guy  Also she is a coldplay fanatic, so it doesn't surprise me she has that much, and has probably everything Coldplay have ever done, including live stuff. Some are probably videos yeah. Also meesy some of the bands you meantioned with a + are big across here (kings of leon, the magic numbers & depeche mode) :P edit - might post my music later, but it's split between 2 computers just now. The dutch music scene mainly excists out of Hardcore, hardstyle, techno and that kind of stuff. So most of the bands that are big in the UK and about which are written in magazines (we are, recently, able to buy Q-magazine here), are totally unknown in Holland so it's hard to point out which bands people know and which are unfamiliar. [Edit] E_D_G_E_1093, could you please point out which of the "many bands" only have 1 album?
  17. For the unbelieving: Included are 23 concerts, from their early Barfly Sessions (1998) upto video files of their Live8 performance, Glastonbury (2005) and their most recent concert in Holland (Gelredome). Most of the stuff from Coldplay I have is live stuff really, other than that the albums and LP's are all at the highest bitrate possible, so upto 15MB a song. Also their full DVD, which I *bought* so don't point your finger at me, but incase I'd lose it I put it on my HD as well. Also, some accoustic stuff, making off's, rare songs, cover songs, B-sides... about everything they did. :) Oh and, I'm a girl.
  18. 43GB of music from the following bands: - 3 Doors Down - A Perfect Circle - Athlete - Audioslave - Beck - Ben Folds Five - Bloc Party ++ - Coldplay (21GB  ) ++ - Damien Rice + - Dave Matthews Band ++ - David Gray - Depeche Mode + - Eskimo Joe - Explosions in the Sky + - Foo Fighters ++ - Infected Mushroom + - Interpol - Jack Johnson - James Blunt - Jamiroquai - Jimmy Eat World - Kings of Leon + - M83 + - Mae - Mars Volta - Missy Higgins - Pearl Jam - Pilate - Rage Against The Machine - Richard Ashcroft - Royksopp - Saybia + - Snow Patrol ++ - Something Corporate - Stereophonics - Switchfoot + - Tenacious D - The All-American Rejects - The Killers - The Magic Numbers + - The Postal Service + - The Verve - The Verve Pipe - Thirteen Senses + - Travis - Wilco + Where as the ones with 2 +'s are just amazing and the ones with 1 + are bands you probably have and never will hear from, but still own! :)
  19. The way Muse plays the piano isn't hard at all, it's just fast but what they play is all chord-based (if that makes sence), so when you practise alot it'll be easy. I vote the solo in "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, oh yeah.
  20. It's good to see you got your contract and you can live your dream. ^^
  21. Lol this is nonsence. Chris Martin has been saying stuff like this ever since "A Rush Of Blood To The Head". He said it then, he said it before X&Y and he will say something different next week. The last time I read something about this he talked about turning into the new Metallica. And guess what, the only reason he does this is so he doesn't have to tell about what they're really making, that's (or something like that) is what he said in an interview a few years back. So get some background information first before you start shouting stuff you found on the internet. Thanks. Also you might know that Chris hates the press that come up with unoriginal questions -such as: what is your new album gonna sound like- and he'll tell them rubbish answers anyway. Hmpf.
  22. Most ISP's, atleast in Holland, offer a certain amount of webspace so you might want to check yours.
  23. Speaking of neat keyboards.
  24. We're gonna miss ya Rob, you and your funny stories when you're drunk. ;) Hope college works out great for ya and that you decide to pop-in darkwebz once in a while. Take care! *hugs* :)
