  1. My luck is fairly average for a person who's done as much fighting as I have. But I have had some strange luck. I've killed many, many thousands of monsters of all types. Tons of shadow warriors, tons of fire giants, a fair amount of abyssal demons, and when I finally got a shield left half drop, it was from a mossy.
  2. They might drop dragon chains, but I don't know of any confirmation of this.
  3. I really like how that looks, but I still won't bother to get full. Just the most useful parts.
  4. You can look at the mage arena guides and equippable items thread, this info is already in those places.
  5. I'll try never to say tip.it from now on. There needs to be a system like "merits" or "white marks" so that being a good player gives us a little protection from random bannings.
  6. You left some in your inventory. You may think that you'd never forget something like that, but it's amazing what we can forget sometimes.
  7. There's a few more places where monsters drop bones, and guthan doesn't work well, such as infernal mages, bloodvelds, and especially, DUST DEVILS. Since this has also been debated in these bones to peaches threads, I might as well clarify here. Bananas and peaches are worth the same when deposited in the graveyard food chutes. You need 16 of them to get 1 point, either way.
  8. Strange. This sentence is here to prevent a one-word post.
  9. I used to get a lot of mimes, mazes and the like, but I haven't had any of those special randoms in ages. I still need the drill demon song, and I of course haven't had this Prison Pete one.
  10. Sweetcorn and popping corn are entirely different, and for that matter, popping corn had to be selectively bred before a good percentage of the kernals would pop.
  11. I believe I speak for about 50% of the population when I say "Woo hoo!" I never cared about having a status symbol or anything of that sort (I've never wanted to own a party hat or other rare), I just wanted to get some useful new items. And now I can do that more quickly.
  12. Redemption has always only healed you when your hp drops below 10%, same as a ring of life. It gives you 25% of your max prayer back in hp, as far as I remember.
  13. I was expecting peaches to heal 4, so 8 is really good. I've been planning to get this spell from the start, and now I definitely will. And a mage book, too. Probably nothing else. Those 2 will take long enough already.
  14. Yup, Runescape began January 2001. I started early 2002 when a friend told me about this game. If they had never mentioned it, these last few years of my life would be very different. Imagine the difference that a few small words can make. Would my years be better if I hadn't started playing this? Who can say. I'd probably just have spent my time playing something else.
  15. Let's see, when did random events first come out... I must have been in the 80's or 90's for my first genie. I've had most random events several times, but not the demon army one, so I still need that song. I have about 490 strange fruit in my bank, but most came from friends.
  16. Making these items untradable would hurt every type of player, not just rich people who would rather buy the items than get points to buy them. Suppose you want to use this new arena to train magic. You don't have a lot of money, but you get enough runes to get a good start on your goal, through making money and runecrafting. You train and train, gain many levels, and finally you have enough points for a piece of infinity. Here's your chance to sell robes so you can buy way more runes! Oh wait, now you can't. See, the arena is meant for magic training, and being able to sell these items helps people train magic. This arena is not meant as just an elaborate way to get these items, the items are the bonus and not the goal. Players who are rich have earned it, it doesn't matter if they're low level or not. People who have scammed for their wealth and are still around are a very small minority. Getting a money making skill like 85 slayer takes at least as much time as earning the points to buy everything in that shop. Thank goodness Jagex never listens to these rants. Democracy wouldn't work in Runescape. Besides, if you asked random Runescapers instead of this biased sample, tradability would most likely win.
  17. You can help lower the price by bringing more staves into the game. I paid 5 mil for my staff when they were around 4, but I actually made a good investment this time. Kinda makes up for the 2.5 mil I lost on the dragon axe I bought and sold.
  18. The thing is, we're not really meant to be doing this training arena just to earn the rewards. We're supposed to do it for the xp, and then occasionally we get to be rewarded with an item. If you look at it that way, it makes more sense for it to take that long to earn stuff. These items should stay tradable. Castle wars armors are just meant to show achievement, but all of these items are useful, and owning one still shows wealth and dedication. Making these untradable would be like making dragon chains untradable.
  19. Skeletal is slightly lower defense than splitbark, and seems a lot harder to get than either split or mystic to me.
  20. I'm trying to think of ways to smuggle cash into the alchemist's playground. My only ideas are to get a lot of caskets from fishing or dagganoth, or bringing a strange box from the random. Neither seem very practical, oh well.
  21. I think that the NPC says that peaches would be more helpful, or something along those lines, but he doesn't directly say that they're more points.
  22. Nobody has the peach spell yet, but I'm guessing they heal 4. Let's see if I'm right. I don't think that peaches will be worth more points in the graveyard game than bananas, because neither the book or npc's ever say so. It could still be a useful spell for the graveyard, though. Make bananas and dump them down the chutes, and then make a load of peaches just to heal up.
  23. This is about how I feel. The spell is the first thing I'm getting, I want to be able to cast every spell I have the level for. Nobody knows what peaches heal, because nobody could possibly have the spell yet. I'm guessing 4, but we'll see.
  24. Yeah, I don't think I would ever use a wand or staff with a high magic attack, over a staff that give me free runes, unless it had an absolutely insane magic bonus, or some other special effect. It remains to be seen what stats the new robes have, but they're 50 magic and 25 def, so they'll probably be above mystic and below Ahrim. I might still want the gloves, boots or book though. I've already decided that I'm getting bones to peaches. *Grins*
  25. I'm looking through the ol' Pics folder, and found a couple old conversations that someone might find mildly amusing. By pure coincidence, they are both when I was at the Phasmatys farming patch. Him: Ur almost like that snot face zezima Him: Only ur not a snot face Me: Wow, thanks Lilyuffie88: Creap Me: Yes? Lilyuffie88: How u start farming?
