  1. You live in massachusetts then? I know exactly what city your talking about :) . Mainly because I live pretty close to there (15-20min drive).
  2. There usally about the same price (up to pc3200 for ddr), and they will downclock to the speed of the motherboard specs/ other memory.
  3. Speeds don't matter, ram downclocks to reach the speed of the other memory. To find out what speed memory you have download this program and take a screenshot of the memory tab. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
  4. I don't suggest finding parts now if it's for a christmas gift. By christmas there's going to be a whole new generation of parts out that are going to be faster than whats out now. I'm mainly talking about new graphics cards with directX10, Windows Vista, and quad core processors from Intel (might get delayed).
  5. Its one inch bigger and the same exact specs as the 19". I don't see any reason not to get that monitor :D .
  6. Theres more than 1 person that can help you with a problem. Just because he helped you before doesn't mean other people arn't just as helpful :) . If you don't know what your doing, take it to a computer shop and have them check it out.
  7. The power supply might have died. I don't know how much you know about computer but the only way (that I know of) is to try the computer with a different power supply. You would need to take out the power supply from a working computer and test it in the broken computer. If it still doesn't power on, you may have a larger problem at hand.
  8. You don't have to buy a new computer to get more ram, just buy it like others said. Ram is one of the easiest things to install in a computer. All you do it plug it into the correct slot and thats it.

People say there was a big shortage at the Xbox360 launch  . I can't wait to see how this will turns out. Anybody know any stores that are taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii yet?
  10. Yes I know what you mean. http://www.virtual-laser-keyboard.com/
  11. I don't see anything bad in your log. Although get antivirus and a firewall ASAP. It's even easier for your brother to put this stuff on without anything to stop him. I suggest AVG antivirus and Zonealarm firewall. Both are free programs. Also if you havn't already, use the imuninize feture in Spybot. If you want full protection, beat up you brother
  12. I don't know to much above Windows 2000 but I think there is a SP5 out. Go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install everything critical. This will patch a lot of security holes in Windows and posibly stop some viruses from installing.
  13. I agree with LP on this one. That monitor looks realy good. 5ms response time is above average and it's under $300 for a 19inch.
  14. Post a hijackthis log. You can get the program here
  15. Here some pics of my room with my crappy camera. My walls are blue even if some of the pics dont show that. This skateboard deck nobody touches it's the skateboard that I landed a lot of my first tricks on. I also think it's cursed because I broke 2 bones riding this board :( .
  16. VeiwSonic is an excelent brand. Acer, LG, and Samsung are all good brands.
  17. That would do nothing if it was working properly before. It may help you if your computer doesn't have a lot of ram but like I said if he didn't need to before he shouldn't have to now.

Just because the blueray has more space than a double layer dvd doesn't mean the game will use that space. On the Xbox360 they arn't even using all the space on the double layer dvds, which is about 9gb I believe. The blueray is a giant gimick for the PS3 just for Sony to push their own format. The current generation of games can not use that much space, so why put it their in the first place?
  19. I want to see some proof of that over Mcafee, AVG, Nortan or any other major antivirus programs.
  20. AMD Turion 64 x-32 2 gig RAM DVD/CD Burner 256 dedicated GPU (dunno the exact model)
  21. If you read the first post you would see that he already has the laptop. If you don't know what your talking about, don't post.
  22. Have you scanned for viruses and spyware? If you don't use these programs: *Ad-aware (spyware cleaner) *Spybot S & D (spyware cleaner) *AVG Antivirus Make sure they are all up to date before scanning. Then if it's still slow post a hijackthis log. Get the program here
  23. Find out what graphics card that is too.
  24. I'll give you credit if I see you flippin' through your city in a thong. :P Challenge accepted ;) Oh god.... :uhh: :ohnoes:
  25. I went to do my paper round and I was so tired I forgot to wear shoes  . I was only wearing socks and then I stepped in a small puddle and I finaly realized I had no shoes on .
