Laptops are normal computers too, desktops benefit from 2gb of ram, so I don't see why laptops wouldn't :) . I think you would see a speed increase going to 667mhz with better timings (maybe 4-4-4-10 @667mhz) but then you would need to replace all of the ram :( .

If you put in faster memory and keep that slower memory in as well both will run at the slower settings.

I'm going back the 29th of August :( :( . This summer just flew right by, I wish we had atleast another month off and go back in October. I have that first Friday off soon as I go back already for a teachers day :D . Then the next week is Labor Day weekend so we have the Friday and Monday off :D . Don't believe the first part of this post. Hypercam does not use 5-10kb of ram. I don't think any program today uses that little. Here's my solution, don't record the whole screen. Or if you absolutly need to record the whole screen lower the frame rate and lower some other settings so it will run faster. That will also reduce the quality of the video.

I have verizon DSL (1.5mbs) and never had any problems with them. Net Neutrality Act passed so Internet providers can not filter internet traffic anymore. However it could be parental controls on your computer that are blocking downloading or just torrent downloading. You did say you disabled your firewall for a little while so it can't be that blocking the download. Have you tried another torrent client? Bitcoment is a good one. Can you download other torrents? Try a torrent off another site.

For people who say it might been because of bullying, read this from the artical.

right click on my computer> properties> Hardware> Device Manager. Then look for the printer and right click and click properties then update driver. Then click advanced and choose the directory where you saved the files to.

That still doesn't tell us want do with videos. Do you want a screen capture program that records whats taking place on the screen? If so I use hypercam. Or do you mean how to edit them? If this is your question use Windows Media maker. If you have Windows XP it should already be on your computer.

1. Football practice, 4-5 times a week, you get a great work out from that. I also run a lot. I do about about 2 sets of 150-200 sit ups a day and a lot of push ups. I find the football practice a lot harder than my own work out because you can just quit when you want there :P . 2. You have to do more than 40 sit ups a day. If thats all you can do for now try to do 2 sets of 30 or 40 a day. Then the next week increase it to maybe 50 or 60 in 2 sets and so on. For each workout don't over do it or you will be too tried to work out again and will just slow down your progress. Another good exercise I do is called 6 inches I learned from football. It's when you hold your legs up 6 inches off the ground (laying on your back) straight out and hit your stomach holding it as long as you can. If it's easy after a minute, your doing it wrong.

If the motherboard only supports 1gb you can not put in a 1gb stick with a 256mb still in. You can either take 1 256mb stick out and put in a 512mb stick for 768mb of ram or take both stuicks out and put in 2 512mb sticks for 1gb. PC3200 ram would work, even if the motherboard doesn't support it, the ram would downclock to pc2700. pc3500 is not officaly supports by motherboards, you may be able to use it but getting it set up like that, it's more trouble than it's worth.

It would have nothing to do with the internet if it's only when a screen recording program is open. What are the specs of your computer? What are the settings for these programs? You may have the settings too high for your computer and thats causing the lag.

Doing a quick search It seems you have 2 DDR (184pin) memory slots with a maximum amount of 1gb. The siite says 1gb, but since you have 2 slots usally the motherboard would support 2gb (2x 1gb sticks). The memory is pc2700. The Everest program will be good to find out the rest, such as if you have 2x 256mb sticks or 1 512mb stick.

1 terabyte is 1,000gb of space not 500 :wink: . I could maybe use 1TB for media purposes, such as recorded tv shows and maybe for blue-ray/ HD-DVD when it becomes more popular. I just got a TV tuner card and my 250gb hard drive is filling up fast.

These are prices I have seen on newegg.com in USD GTO= $190-200 XT (256mb)= $240-250 XT (512mb)= $ $300 The 512mb XT is not worth the extra money from the 256mb version. You can even look into the x1900GT (about $270) which is slightly faster than the x1800XT. Look at some benchmarks on this one first compared to the x1800XT to see if it's worth the extra speed for the money.

Yes it does work in Windows. What should I google then? I don't have any script blockers. This happens in IE too so I think it may not be with firefox settings. The plugin page just pionts me where to download WMP (10 or 9). I was going to install version 9, but I have a later version and I can't. WMP is not in add-remove program files, how should I uninstall it? EDIT: nvm i found out how to uninstall it, you got to click "show updates" in add-remove programs. EDIT2: Well I have uninstalled WMP11 using the Microsoft FAQ and then installed 10. Guess what? It still doesn't work.

What about cable internet? Do you have that where you live?

They are a lot cheaper than the x1900. The x1600XT is about $130 (american). The 7600GT is the best price/preformance ratio thats out right (I think). It goes for around $160-175 (american). The 7900GT is a nice card too, that goes for $280(american). Sorry I don't know Canadian prices.
