  1. ... that is exactly what the sticky is there for.... http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=516149
  2. At level 87 magic you can use the magic training arena and enchant level 6 jevellery - if you have a lava staff you only need one cosmic rune per spell, and I think that is by far the cheapest for you. Gets boring in the long run though. Pest control is a lot more fun. You can either go as ancient mage and only use magic to fight. That is pretty expensive! :) An alternative is to go as a melee fighter, with runes for multitarget spells in your backpack. Fight melee until you have lots of monsters around you, then throw a bunch of multitarget spells: lots of monsters to hit means much exp per cast. Then use your pest points for magic exp. Barrowing - using the slayer dart. That costs nothing, as you will get the runes needed as reward from the chest. In fact you will get more runes than you use. There are good guides in the archieve of wisdom. Personally I suggest doing a little of each to get variation. Do barrows before you do pest control to get some runes.
  3. The quest "Eadgars ruse" is part of the quest requirements for "my arm". Have you finished it? Did you have any problems with being afraid of trolls while doing it?
  4. With flametear hammers and good crafting levels (70), you need 4-5 people. 3 stay at the temple and at least 2 of them build, the 3rd also build or kills off shades. The 4th person can run to shop and bank and such, restocking on materials. The important thing is to have at least 3 persons at temple ALL the time, noone can leave until other person comes back, so you have to communicate with each other. With lower crafting levels, you need more people. Same if you dont have flametear hammers.
  5. Nope, they dont always lead into wilderness. It varies a lot. Some trails have no clue leading into wildy. Some can have as many as 3 (or eventually 4?) clues leading into wildy - and everything in between of course. Same with puzzle boxes, saradomin mages and everything. Sometimes none, sometimes one, sometimes more. Its all random. And reward has nothing to do with how hard the trail was. When going into wildy on trails, do your best to stay out of multi combat areas as much as possible. Tip.it has a map showing where it is multi combat and not. Safest thing in my opinion is to use the edges of the map to go in and out, there are usually not too many pkers.
  6. I've never seen any statistics on this. My gut feeling is that are roughly as rare as they are as monster drops. That means I know I have opened over 200 silver chests in a row without a clue, but also that I have had 2-3 clues for that amount of chests. Regarding rewards. Worst thing you will find is a black spear I think. Then you can get mithril plates, addy large helm, shield, skirt, legs, plate, rune swords, rune med. Noted yew or magic logs, blood runes, death runes, flametear hammer, and clue of course. And do remember to click on the message "you find some treasure" - to find swamp paste at the bottom of the chest. Free swamp paste is worth a lot if you plan to go back to temple building, and *that* is good crafting exp. Dont ask me about numbers. I dont keep track of that :P
  7. There are times in game where your att, str, def, magic get drained. At those times stat restores are useful. I think the most common use for it is when you use the dragon axe special, which raise your strength but reduce your attack. So use special, drink stat restore, (then eventually drink attack pot).
  8. I love subtrail, and have used it for years - since its the theme that was most similar to the looks of the original tip.it forums back in 2001  Without subtrail, it doesnt feel like tip... Please bring it back.
  9. Oh how I wish Jagex to bring back Thrandor to Varrock. In RSC, Thrandor used to convert skirts to legs or legs to skirts for free, thereby making them of equal value. In RS2, Jagex removed him, saying there is no need for him since the graphic engine change the armour to suit the gender of the character wearing it. As we (we=everyone who has ever tried to sell or buy a trimmed skirt or a dragon skirt) know, the drop rate of those does NOT reflect the actual supply/demand, and hence the non-smithable skirts are worth a lot less than the legs equivalent. Back on topic. Yes I think god armour should have some kind of bonus, at least when used on P2P. Prayer bonus definitly makes sense :)
  10. I never bought anything. I am level 69 construction. On the other hand, a very kind friend (who is level 99 construction) made me the flatpacked items I couldnt make for myself (for treasure room and bedroom). If he hadn't done so, I would have considered buying flatpacked items for my costume room, to store things and thereby free up bank space. Keep in mind though, that people who buy stuff often want to spend their money on the best item there is - and usually only *if* the item has any use. Regarding selling items: When construction first came out, I sold a lot of clockwork cats, since I had the crafting level to make them - and they were new in the game and thereby popular. Noone buys them nowadays.
  11. Similar as others: Melee with prayer bonus. Whip, salve ammy, dark gloves, zammy book for me. Zammy book has offensive stats in addition to prayer bonus, so that is the book I always use when fighting NPC's on protection prayers. (Saradomin book is my choice when walking into wildy on treasure trails etc. Guthix book I use if I for one reason or another lost zammy or sara book and cant be bothered to walk to lighthouse to get them back :P ) Pots (other than prayer): I usually bring a 3-dose of each ss and sa pots, to kill the specters quicker. Quick kill=less prayer used per spectre=more kills per prayer pot. I keep ranarr and up herbs, but someone who want to level herblore may want to keep harr and tarr as well. If you plan many bank trips (=plan to keep many herbs), its eventually better to simply drink a dose of each sa and ss at bank. Normal str and att, or the new combat pot is of course an alternative. The normal pots can be bought cheap at warriors guild if you dont have them. Then there are the weight to take into consideration. How many specters do you plan to kill, how much of the drops do you plan to keep: in short, do you plan to do frequent bank trips? Proselyte and rune boots = more prayer bonus + strenght from the boots. Good if you plan to stay long. Monk robes and boots of lightness = makes you lighter so you can run longer, and thereby make banktrips quicker. May be a better alternative if you plan to keep most herbs they drop. I tried wearing black hides and use bones to peaches. I personlly didnt like it, wearing stuff for prayer bonus and using prayer pots suit me better. On the other hand, I *do* have a good stock of all pots in bank... not everyone has that.
  12. I got the impression that they made the mime random more common since they added the costume room to POH. I havent had mimes for years, but now I have gotten it 3 times the past few weeks.
  13. Wow, more complaints unsupported by evidence, why does that not surprise me? On topic: I was fighting them for slayer earlier, seemed the same to me. I also had them for slayer this morning, and didnt notice any changes.
  14. Yes, you can use cannon there. Keep in mind that it is single combat though, so your cannon will only shoot at one dragon at the time. But yeah. When I go there, I always bring my cannon, it speeds up killing :)
  15. I had something similar: Karil + lag in tunnels. Lost Guthan helm and spear, abby whip, magic outfit, black hide+chaps, a bunch of runes for slayer dart, and whole inventory full of pots + food.
  16. You need water when going there, but NOT when you are in the mine. One skin, that you drop when you arrive is fine :)
  17. Look at the world map. The battle field is between West Ardounge and the tree gnome village.
  18. Improvement of old skills for me. I want more varied high level stuff in most skills.
  19. For a while back on old RSC there were sleeping bags. You had to sleep every now and hten, then type in a word you read on the screen to wake up. This was to stop macroers. Nowadays there are no sleeping bags, and no need to sleep. Instead there are the random events.
  20. In addition to what McGuff said, here is my advice: I've solved quite a few puzzles on my treasure trails, and learned it by now, but I still *always* look at the pictures in the guide when doing it http://tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_ ... htm#puzzle The reason is that a few of the pieces is easy to mix up with each other as they look similar, and if you get one piece wrong, then you of course cant get the rest right.
  21. A friend mentioned it's similar at Rimmington general shop on free worlds, I have not checked it out myself but it sounds likely.
  22. The seeds inside are mainly junk (low level allotment seeds), and eventually a few good seeds/tree seeds. If I go mole hunting, I do it for the nests - to use when mixing Saradomin brews :)
  23. Mole hunting :P http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=mole_lair.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2monster_id=630
  24. Outside castle wars bank is good, and also just outside Yanille. At both those places there are hardly ever any other woodcutters.
