  1. I must say that I definitly prefer emotes as reward, since they last forever and dont take up any bank space ;) Grats :D
  2. For slayer assignments - Dagannoths as they are wonderful cannon targets and drop a lot of high level seeds. They are of course not slayer monsters. The slayer monsters I like are abberant specters, gargoyles, necrayeals, dust demons and basilisks (most hated, kurasks. Standing in a safe spot and mage or range bores me to death)
  3. Well, the tuna opens up a new market for f2p to sell to p2p. Harpoon, use swordies for yourself, sell tuna to members. Takes some of the focus of "lobsters, lobsters, lobsters, lobsters" which I think is good. Also gives people with decent cooking level but fairly low fishing level a chance to make good food. It also gives a useful thing to do with all the sweetcorn I bet is sitting in the banks of many farmers, I know for sure I have 500+ myself - and it gives people with decent cooking level but fairly low fishing level a chance to make good food.
  4. Another way to solve the problem is to make them (and nechrayeals as well I think) aggressive. Gargoyles and specters are already aggressive, so why not the higher ones as well? No inconvenience for the ones who have the level (quite the opposite) and in the same time it would make it very hard for beggers to hang around. Edit: convenience changed to inconvenience ;)
  5. Over the years I've learned that there are much more adults playing than you originally think there is - and I'm sure there still are a few of them who havent seen this topic ;)
  6. The saradomin wizard will attack with both magic and melee, he is the one you will meet when digging for coordinate clues outside the wilderness when you are on level 3 treasure trail. I usually wield a dds, some melee armour, and use protect against magic prayers - and take a drink of super antipoison potion before I dig. Attack style Lunge, and use the special attack as many times as I can. Most of the time I kill him quickly without taking too much damage, but luck is random, and sometimes I need to eat a few pieces of food before he is dead. If your coordinates lead to the wilderness, you will meet a zamorak wizard, he is weaker and only attack with magic.
  7. Because how that expression is used nowadays, my opinion is that anyone using it in game, is one.
  8. When something "unexpected" happens, merchants always try and take advantage of it. Noone knows for sure how many party hats that are gone from the market, so of course people owning a phat take advantage of that and ask for higher prices. If you are surpriced by that, you have a few things to learn about humanity.
  9. That demons drop ashes is fine and makes sense in my opinion. That its the same kind ordinary ashes that you get from burning wood is not however. Yep, I agree with that. Simply spreading it for the wind to get prayer exp would be fine - I have wished for that since the first demons were added to the game. Scatter at crossroads for more prayer exp would be nice though  That spiders, scorpions, kalphites and others doesnt drop bones also make sense, as they dont have any bones in their body, they have an exoskeleton instead. Back in the very early days, scorpions and spiders dropped bones, and players kept telling Jagex how wrong that was from biology point of view, so Jagex changed it.
  10. Thats the best part of it, in my opinion :D
  11. On the page where you choose server, click on the little arrow down in front of the word "world". That will list the servers in number order with server 1 on top and server 112 on bottom (=full servers will not be at the very bottom of the page as they are in the default list). Keep clicking on the arrow to reload the list until you can click on server 2, that will take you to the log in screen. Keep trying there. With this strategy, it usually only takes a few minutes to get in, even at peak times.
  12. Hours? Hmmm, every now and then I feel like doing level 1 clues (sometimes when a friend is looking for god pages for example). I load up with runes for all teleports + glory ammy and game necklace. If you have that, and have solved a few so you know the locations, it usually takes less than 10 min to solve a level 1 clue. Then back to your preferred monster (thugs, goblins, ham members) for next clue.
  13. I use my dds for basically 2 things: When doing level 3 treasure trails, for that I think it's outstanding. With the dds I kill the saradomin and zamorak wizards quickly AND if I run into a group of pkers when in deep wildy, I have the chance to at least annoy them with poison before I die ;) When fighting high level monsters like iron dragons. I usually fight 2 or 3 rounds with the dagger, using the special and hope to poison them before I change to whip. As it takes some time to kill them because of their high hp, the poison will have time to work and do damage a few rounds. Since I bought my whip, my dds is the only dragon weapon I ever use.
  14. Yes, I like the idea of just slightly better but good looking items as a reward for a high skill. And yeah, I am sick of all the posts on every board about how to make easy money quick, making money instead of working on their skills seems to be the only goal for many players, which I think is sad.
  15. You only have to feed the kittens, adults/overgrown never run away, so bringing them with you is no waste of inventory space.
  16. Not at all, and especially not on the internet. The important things are maturity, and when it comes to making friends to find people who have things in common with you. However, as you can see on several posts on this topic, some of the younger ones cant understand why the older ones spend time playing a game. Because of that, as an older player its good to know that you're not the only adult out there ;)
  17. Yeah, and everyone able to kill basilisks can also kill Abyssal Demons. Oh, and I can't understand why you use lobsters as food. Manta Rays are so much better!  Thanks for the laughs Anyways, back on topic, I agree with cocacolabottle, bigmoneyak and several others. Basilisks are decent exp, require very little food and drop stuff to high alch for pure profit in addition to tons of good herbs, nature runes, addy ore and gems.
  18. *hands rascape a bar of soap* I suggest you wash your mouth and edit the topic title!
  19. VERY nice article Magey :D As for the ones of you who argue about what happened then, there are archives out on the net. Here are a few: Tip.it's old news, contains a mix of tip.it website news and official news: http://www.tip.it/rsc/oldnews.htm http://www.tip.it/cgi-bin/np/viewnews.cgi?newsall Official news collected by XXCavalierXX http://cav.50megs.com/archive1.htm http://cav.50megs.com/archive2.htm http://cav.50megs.com/archive3.htm Start reading at the bottom of the pages and go up to read in cronological order.
  20. I think one of them (the coordinate that leads to Karamja shipyard) require the grand tree quest. In addition to that, a puzzle box is handed out by one of the gnome glider pilotes - and gnome gliders is very useful for quick transportation to areas with no teleport spots nearby. To dig in Mort myre swamps you need the nature spirit quest. For the lumberyard one you need Gertrudes cat quest. Erm, and eventually more I cant remember right now
  21. I cant answer any of your questions the way you are asking for - with numbers. I will however answer with my view on it: First, the main reason I play is to do things I enjoy and to relax. Keeping track of numbers stresses me, so I never do that. Besides, keeping track of exp and time at my level is just depressing. Also, I dont have the personality or interest to be good at merchating, so I rather do the easier trades (sell for less/pay more) to get it over with, so I can move on to things I enjoy. Second, doing things the most efficient way is usually boring in my opinion. I need variation to enjoy the game, so I simply do what I feel like at the moment. This is my personal view. Dont argue about it. We are all different, and enjoy to do things ÃÆÃâÃâín different ways. Some of you enjoy to get as much exp/money per hour as possible. I respect that - so please respect that I like to do things my way. It *is* a game, meant to be fun :)
  22. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_trails.htm Use the locator, its under related links and will give you exact position. Pirate hall is in deep members wildy.
  23. For future reference: questions to the help and advice board Topics about p2p stuff that is *not* questions goes on p2p general. For info: first take a look on tip.it website. If you dont find the info you are looking for there, use the search buttonon top of the forums to search the boards before you ask questions.
