  1. Actually, that is quite fascinating to me. But then again, I'm fasicnated by most things. Has anyone ever put one of those marshmallow peeps in the microwave? OH MAN is that cool!
  2. "That city place that begins with an a" (th-aat si-tee pahlace thAt bee-gins with aan ay)
  3. Going back to the small conversation of stalking, here's a bit of freetime research I did when I was bored. I took one of my friends from school, not mentioning their name, and went searching the web. What I was able to find with something as simple as a first and last name + a state of residence was sickening. The online databases that allow you to search for phone numbers, addresses, etc, with just a name and state is just horrible. So, with only my friends name, and knowing what state they lived in, I found enough information that if I chose to, I could've walked up to their doorstep knowing incredible amounts of information about that person. Unbelieveable.
  4. I was suprised when I suddenly realised that no one made a topic about this yet. So, being the Olympics lover that I am, I decided to go ahead and make it :) Did anyone see the gold medal run for Womens Snowboard Cross last night? If you didn't, you really missed a good race. In the first part of the race, the 4th place person wiped out going over a jump. Then about halfway down the course, this 2nd place racer went over the banked corner and just plowed through the netting and had to be hauled away on a stretcher. And THEN in the final stretch of the race, the American leader, forget her first name, she pulls a Method going off a kicker and wipes out and gets silver. I laughed when I saw this, it was just so ironic! Discuss/comment/flame/whetever.

All of my friends with older brothers/sisters in college all got one when they went. Maybe you'll get a computer when you go to college too? But since you said you wrote them an email, perhaps you're in college already? Or boarding school?
  6. Wow. Next time I'm in Sweden, I think I'll try hiding in a dark alley and mugging people passing by. "Gimme your shoes!!!" "Umm...What did you say?" "You heard me! Gimme your shoes!" "My shoes won't fit you though...Why do you need them?" "Umm..." "Here, how about you can have a nice shiny quarter (or whatever the Swedish equivalent is). Now run along and buy yourself a gumball." "SWEET!" Half of the shirts I wear are the ones I get for free for all these events I go to. *starts to look through dresser* Here's one from National Day of Doing Good, and then the Winter Carnival, and ooh here's an Arbor Day one!

I wish my school offered cool crap like that. All our school gives is the seniors a trip to D.C. each year. Whoo, been there about 5 times. If you're going for a DSLR, I would go with Canon, like you said you wanted. They have some of the best DSLR's I've seen. That seems to be where they excel. Film, however, I would choose a company like Nikon or Konica-Minolta. I remember my first SLR, a Konica Minolta Maxxum 50. Ahhh... I am still shooting film with all my personal cameras, as my dad was a major photographer (he won this cool NYC film comp). But right now my dad's letting my use his old Nikon until I get enough saved up to buy the FM 10. Oh yeah, I have about 3 lenses so far :) and I love em all. Wide angle lenses rule (don't buy a cheap one though, that can give you image distorion).
  8. No question, so I'm making one up. Why are the city walls in some places uber thin?
  9. Runescape actually helped my in Tech class last year... It was cool, we were talking about smelting in class, and I knew all the answers. :) Yay me.
  10. Zammy cape and staff with Sara armour? I would think you'd like, explode or something... Anyways, looking good :)
  11. Well, I'm sorry I can't make it. I lost members and prob won't be getting it back for a few weeks. But I wish you a very happy 14th birthday, I hope your party is alot of fun. When I get members back maybe I'll give you my obsidian cape as a belated birthday present. I bet you have one though :o
  12. I only talk to some good friends I made on the clan forums I used to go to.
  13. lol i prefer some of the other Aqua songs :P *If only I could tuuuurn back tii-iiiime* Has anyone ever heard those German people sing that Barbie song?
  14. I don't think it's Japanese, but that's my two cents.
  15. Do they each have a separate internet connection, or do they share one?
  16. If you're going to buy a new mp3, get something from Creative Labs. Even though I am proud to own an iPod, you still have to agree that a Creative Lab mp3 player is better. When Apple had mini's out, the cost $250 for a 4 gig black and white screen. For that same price, you could get an 8 gig color Creative, same quality.
  17. Gah, you stole mah linky  Well, one of the greatest games I've found is Ferion, http://www.ferion.com. This tick-based strategic war game is really interesting and quite fun to play, once you get past the fact that it has a 250+ page manual. After reading the manual (you should read it all), you then join the a newbie arena (the equivalent of Tutorial Island) where you can try making all the commands available in the game. But the idea of the game is to conquer as many planets as possible, first by iniatally settling them, and then taking them from other civilazations once the arena gets full. You research new technologies to help you improve your empire, and make better ships. You can form alliances, declare war, make treaties and trade agreements, etc. Some of the things that I really like about it is the size of the arenas. These arenas are absolutely massive, with 5000 planets to settle, and can last up to 4 weeks. There are also a huge amount of players to an arena, another thing I like. In one arena I just finished, there were about 200 players, each competing to get the most points (which you get by conquering, expanding, etc.) The game is much like Runescape in the sense that it's free initally, but you can choose to buy keys which expands your research capabilities per arena. Also, this game is tick based, which means you can Log on to Ferion at 6:10, put in your commands, then go eat dinner, come back an hour later and see what the progress is. You can do standing orders, so the game will do what you say while you sleep. The administration is a blessing too, very responsive and don't send you auto messages all the time. I actually got a written response from the query I sent! There aren't many things I don't like about this game, but for some people I can understand why they wouldn't like it. It takes an amount of dedication to really get into the game and get good at it. Also, the community is rather small (a downfall for some, a blessing for others), and there isn't much of a social aspect to the game. But overall, if you enjoy stratigizing and planning your next move to take over civilizations, this is the game for you :) Sorry about the uber long review :?
  18. I don't get what all of you are laughing about. I still haven't found the site with the joke on it.
  19. Well, all my scam stories have already been said, so I'll share another fun noob story. Well, I was bored, so I decide to test something. I grab 5k from the bank, and walk up to this noob carrying a normal, 14gp staff and say, "omg!!111! omgomgomg ill buy ur staf 4 5k plsplspls!1111" Well, the noob just replies, "no" "plsplsplsplspls i just died" "no" "omgplsplsplsplsplsplsplspls all i have is 5k plsplspls" "do you have a wizerd hat?" "omgomgomg i ken get 1!!1" "ok ill trad u this staf for 1" So, i run off and get a magic hat (the magic store was like, 10 feet away), and I go back to the noob and redeem my staff for a 2gp magicians hat. Now THAT was fun.
  20. Yeah, seriously. Just be thankful that the Runescape world is nowhere as big as teh WoW World. It took my friend who owns it about an hour to go to one city from where he was. Mind you that it wasn't even halfway across the world from where he is.
  21. Hmm, quite similar to something I've experienced before. Much similarity to me when one of my brother's good friends died. I knew who they were, and yet I didn't really know them. Just a thought: Does anyone know what/if he practiced religion?
  22. My first goal is to get a santa hat. Nothing wrong with setting small goals unlike all you other high hitters :)
  23. Heh, that's pretty funny. I almost bought one of them. Not kidding. But the fact that stopped me is the fact that I made my own. Maybe I'll give you the one I made from my private collection. Yes, I do have a collection of homemade Runescape objects. A few of the things I made are listed below: -Santa Hat (made by me and a needle w/ thread) -Halloween Mask (also with my needle and thread, but the thngs is seriously deformed and can't fit over my head) -Obsidian Cape (made out of cardboard plates and then I used my air brush on it. Might make one with the scrap metal in the garage) -A mithril arrow (really just a normal stone head arrow, I just painted it blue) -Abbysal Whip (really nothing more than a painted rope)
  24. This also goes along with the chance of mahogany and Teak (which came out with that woodcutting minigame) would be used to make furniture for POH's (if they come out) For the few (if any) of you who don't know, teak and mahogany are a popular building material of upper end furniture. Teak is oftentimes used in outdoors furniture.
