Is solo mole really that bad?
Last I checked, the topic isn't to discuss grammar and spelling. And I just read a whole page of it. Anyways, the mole is pretty decent. But there are faster ways to make money. That is why it is not commonly done. It is 8k-16k per kill gauranteed. But the length of time it takes to kill a mole makes it almost pointless to do it for money. You can, its just that there are quicker ways to not only make more money, but to gain more experience while doing it, too.

Ultimate guide to Tormented Monsters 10k views
If you're getting crashed though, you'll want black scimitar instead of the dagger. Poison does not count as your damage. I just recently got a Holy Elixir drop here out of nowhere. Let me tell you now... The elixir is worth NOTHING. It is being regarded as 100% pure junk. I'm having loads of trouble selling it. The shield is junk too. I have a lot of anticrash methods though, and I'll post them soon. They are mainly designed not only to annoy people, but to lower their damage and make the kill yours almost every time. I would annoy people the first time every time I did my method, and they would usually just hop. This is a great place to make money and get charms, regardless if the rare drops are 100% junk. (yay for a 16m junk item drop that I thought was great :( as you can tell, I'm kinda annoyed cause its soooooooo hard to sell and I wanna get the money for my achievement) Great guide though. Oh and by the way -- never try to destroy Jennica's Ring while inside the realm to save inventory space. It teleports you out of the realm. I learned that the hard way >.> Um cool but you could use eilixir on spirit shield (idk if it give higher def bonus) Also if you could get that information I would lvoe you for life :) Which I did... still unsellable D: It does give higher defence bonus, though, and it is a great shield to use for god wars, DK's, fire caping, hybriding (no stats are lowered and defence raises a lot), etcetera. Unfortunately, the price for it is way higher than it should be. It should be a few mill at most. People probably wouldn't use it until it hits about 1m to 2m probably though. It is a really good shield, its just way overpriced. I've found so much use for it. It is one of the few shields that gives a prayer bonus, and on top of that, it has positive defence bonuses in everything and no negative bonuses at all. One thing thats missing from it, though, is the fact that it doesn't count as a saradomin item. The spirit shield has saradomin inside of it (one of them said something about it at the end of the quest), and the blessed spirit shield infuses even more saradomin power into the shield, if I remember correctly. I didn't make it, so I didn't get to screenshot it. I'll probably post it under the Bugs & Suggestions thing on the RSOF to make it a saradomin item later today when I can. I'd go on about it, but this isn't a rant about the Elixir/Blessed Spirit Shield. I'll get working on the methods of anticrash soon. I just can't be bothered with finding a team or a solo world on my own right now :\.

A Pures Guide to Melee Training and Making Money
Why do you have Salve Ammy (e) at the same place as fury? Salve Ammy (e) > Salve Ammy > Fury > Glory, tbh. I remember training there for a bit as a pure just to max hit a little and to watch my friend dharok a little. Was hilarious when I kept outhitting him XD Also, initiate plate and legs are the same prayer bonus as monk robes. It's a great spot, and i did this a little bit a long time ago when I was pure. Though, 95% of 97-99 strength was from slayer cause I was 10 def :P I definitely recommend getting a salve ammy (e) for this. It's really worth it. The only other spots that are as fast as this and yield profit really are Ghostly Warriors and Aberrant Spectres. And getting Ghostly Warriors would get a LOT of pures unwanted prayer levels so yeah. Great guide though :P

Idk, but it was only being updated on TSG and no where else. Nice to have it back on Tip it forums, lol.

Defender Of Varrock - 29th September 2008
Because who doesn't love mysterious doors? Mithril Door, Frozen Door, trapdoor by the GE (has the word door in it, so I say it counts), and now this :D (though nothing beat the mysterious random door that was on a random piece of land in the water to the west of the wilderness in classic, lol) Wonder what it will lead to. We'll probably not know for a long time :P

Behind The Scenes - October Edition
Elf Crystal is 20, I would know as I used that a few times pking when I was being NH/pking in multi or w/e. Theres some Gnome thing that teleports you up till 30, too. But its from the gnome delivery thing. So yeah. But its going to be interesting to see how they work out the level difference zones and the no-teleport area places. And I would assume that teleblock will be brought back... but I wouldn't count on it. I wonder if the ditch will still exist in the PvP worlds, too... hmm. Theres so many things that could be in the PvP worlds, I really hope they did a good, quality job in making these work. Danqazmlp: They said 1 quest per month, and usually it is 1 quest per month. Maybe 2 quests on months with 5 weeks in them. But there won't be less quests.

Behind The Scenes - October Edition
PvP worlds aren't meant to affect skillers that much... but it will offer a spin to a lot of the gameplay done. You will have to fight for your spots sometimes. For those willing to take a risk, they will find spots that will be a lot more empty than most spots. They will just need to be able to defend it or get away from it. Or find a spot thats more hidden than others. You trade off a risk of dying for better spots to train where it is less crowded. I wonder though. What will be the rules on teleporting? Will Teleblock become a spell again? There are so many things that will affect the PvP worlds and how things happen in those worlds. But not many are gonna be going there to skill, obviously. They weren't made for skillers, they were made for pk'ers to have their fun again. But I'm just pointing out that there could be skilling and training involved in these worlds. And to TheHunted616: Suffer for what? ... Thank god there aren't many pures or pkers around here cause this topic would have become a flame war. I like this BTS so far, all that matters is how well they execute these updates... as always.

Are 5%/10% Prayers Overlooked?
The problem behind all this math and calculations is that there are so many variables that its almost impossible to really write a formula for this. And we also don't know how some of the things work either. And the reason its gone off topic is because it's gone into a discussion about piety and attack prayers and all. The attack prayer works differently than the strength prayer does. The strength prayer makes you hit higher, and the attack prayer makes you hit less 0s. The problem is how often you hit is affected by the gear and the monster you are fighting and your levels and all. Strength prayers, it seems, just gives a 10% damage increase pretty much. And it is so much harder to test attack prayers because the hit rate is never constant. When you do a strength prayer, it makes it so that non-zero hits have a 10% higher max hit. The hit rate is not affected by that, because the chance of hitting a 0 is determined by your attack versus your opponents defence. A range of non-zero hits will go from 1-37 to 1-41. The average hit would go from 19 to 21, which is probably a 10% increase (10.53 shown on calculator, rounding to the hundredths), considering we can't see the decimals behind it. But thats assuming a 100% hit rate, or basically that we're never going to hit a 0. But even if you have a 50% chance of hitting a zero, that lowers the averages by half... but its still a 10% difference between the averages. So its still a 10% increase in experience. However, my averages aren't accurate even assuming 100% hit rate -- using those averages, and assuming you are always hitting with no pauses with whip, thats only 45600 exp per hour with no prayer and 50400 exp per hour with prayer. And I know its more than that with 100% hit rate. Hit rate is always 0% to 100% (though never exact, unless you talk magic or some monster thats designed in a way to never miss/hit with something), and we can never test it and get an exact answer, as it will vary from person to person, gear to gear, and monster to monster. There are too many variables to figure it out accurately. But its for sure that attack prayers do a LOT more if you're fighting a monster with higher defence than something else. So its kinda hard to do all these calculations. We can't be sure how they work, but we CAN be sure that they have an effect. We just don't know how much effect it exactly has. We could all be doing it wrong (amidoinitrite?) for all we know. It could be some other system that we haven't thought about that Jagex only knows of.

The New Regen brace
Guthans is used a lot still. At higher summoning levels, some combat familiars will make training go faster if you use whip + guthans + combat familiar versus whip + bunyip (or sara sword/dscim if you're training strength of course). Then theres god wars... tanking at bandos, doing saradomin with range, but thats not the point of the topic. The Regen Bracelet, to whoever was wondering earlier, increases the restore rate to 120 hp every hour. Rapid heal would make that 180 or 240, depending on the way it stacks with the regen bracelet. These bracelets are currently being sold for about 1.5m each in junk trades I think... my friend bought one for 1.65m. Heh, isn't it ironic... what was used as junk is now being sold for more with junk. lol. So yeah, the demand has really quickly risen for these bracelets. And I'm sure not even half of p2p knows that these were updated or that they are good now.

Trade Limits Raised
Me too, I've only got a pathetic 122 quest points, which at 1450 total is shamefull  At least now, I'm kinda motivated (aswell as 175 for RFD) to quest :ugeek: Pfft, I didn't do Sheep Shearer until I was like 114 combat. D: I'm 1750 total or something now and I've got 190. 131 combat. I don't wanna get a quest cape until I finish maxing my melee cause I do slayer and I can't get warped terrorbirds or scarabites yet. An advantage gained by not questing = ftw. :P Though, I'm at 95 defence, so it won't be that much before I am maxed melee (already 99 att and str >.>) Anyways, its a good update. Its a lot of work to get to the point where you can transfer 60k every 15 minutes. But I think its a good limit.

~@~The Complete Guide to Cabbage Bombing~@~
Definitely posting a link to this thread to my clan's forums to suggest as an event. I might post my pics of me and my friend's old newcomer map bombing at an RoT barrows event. Its the most fun way to call people noobs :P. (That, and trading level 120+ people and putting up a newcomer map and hitting accept, rofl) But this is a crazy detailed guide. For something done for pure fun to waste time and all, you really put some good work into this.

Corpereal beast solo with cannon + spirit shield? + message
That's kind of inconclusive. Basically, if someone has a damn good Internet connection, and is not interrupted for the duration of about an hour, and their machine doesn't suffer any hiccups (disqualifies most Vista users right there), then they can solo the beast. That idea is too subjective to luck and probability, namely the Internet connection. Not all of us have Cable, some of us have a measly 7Mbps line, so I don't think that this method will become prevalent. I wonder if or when people will face the fact that this beast is not soloable. But the thing is, a lot of people do have a good internet connection and hours to spend, it may not be an efficient way to kill it and probably only be done for bragging rights. Its not a fact that it cant be soloed because its only a matter of time before someone does. /me points at sig I would happen to be one of those people with a good internet connection and time to waste. :P I was thinking about doing that myself, but never got around to making a friend lend me a zamorakian spear to do it. Maybe I'll try it at some point soon. The guy that did 1060 damage to the beast did that in under 10 minutes. And I'm pretty sure that was NOT on sharks. Pretty sure those were brews he used. Duoing would take such a long time and it would cost so much that it would pretty much be pointless unless you used sharks. But yes, soloing is definitely possible. Most people that have attempted to solo have only done it in complience to sosolid2kk's challenge, where the limit is 10 minutes. A solo would probably have to take more than 10 minutes. It will be done someday, out of someones boredom and I'm thinking about it, lolol. First jad no pray, why not try this, heh.

The New Regen brace
Most people will. This update was more for pures/non-questers. And not only that, but to fix the fact that it was being used in junk trading and they would have probably ended up dropping until they hit their alch value eventually. It made it so that they actually had some value.

Are 5%/10% Prayers Overlooked?
Prayers really help a lot. I've recently been flashing piety prayer on 90% of my assignments. And sometimes just straight out praying piety too. I get usually 19-20 pray bonus, depending on if I'm using verac's skirt or proselyte legs. I did 10% prayer all the way to 83 slayer, and I must say -- it was worth it. Though, cannoning every assignment that I could wasn't really worth it in my opinion, lol. And I did the 10% prayer on about 12 prayer bonus, most of the time. I think its worth it. A lot of people tend to overlook it though. And calculations on piety increases are hard to do. They vary from monster to monster because some monsters have higher defence than others. In Mithril Dragons versus something like Dust Devils, piety helps a lot more at mithril dragons because normally you will hit a lot of 0s, so the attack bonus helps a lot more there. Dust Devils, the attack bonus doesn't help as much because they're a lot lower defence, so the amount of 0s you hit is not reduced by as much as it would at mithril dragons. Someone did mention Zarfot's guide on Slayer, and I recommend you look that up on the RS official forums (Search Mega Slayer Guide). It is really helpful. And the money you use in order to 10% prayer isn't that much still. Thats why 5% is neglected in my opinion.

The New Regen brace
As expected, thousands of pures are buying this bracelet or are going to buy this bracelet. 1 def-12 def will definitely be buying it more than those 13-36, but I see a lot of people 13-36 buying it for the 1 extra attack bonus and the small HP restore boost. I've heard people are trying to sell them for 4m each  pleaseeeee. Loads are being dropped by the corp beast daily. They might stay around 1m though, like berserker necklace does/did. It's definitely become worth its price, in my opinion. It was worth practically nothing before. (now I wish I sold my blessed spirit shield for 16-18 bracelets D: )

Corporeal Beast Debunked
Brew, and then instantly after it a shark. (or the other way round, nto sure). Takes only the time of one bite. Shark, then brew. You can eat any "normal" food, then drink any "normal" potion immediately after without taking any extra time. I don't know how this applies to gnome foods or multiple bite items, or barbarian mixes. I posted this originally but a friend mentioned it might be funnier if I didn't explain, I kinda figured I wasn't the only one who knew it though. Thousands and thousands of people know this, lol :P. If someone is in a clan, chances are that they know that trick. Heck, there are other tricks you can use, other foods that can replace the brew... I'll tell you though, the first slice of a pizza has no delay on it :P So you can do pizza-shark-brew if you eat the first half of the pizza... unfortunately it doesn't work with the 2nd half of the pizza >.> Thanks for this, I definitely agree with a lot of this.

The New Regen brace
You forget that its not THAT oftenly dropped at Corp Beast, and rarely does anyone make them out of onyx. How many people have dragon gloves or barrows gloves? Not many at all. Most of the people that do are higher levels. From levels 3-100 there are a LOT of people with at most, rune gloves. Its definitely is a majority over the amount with dragon gloves and barrows gloves. Heck, you'll see a lot of people that have combat braces, or even using leather/canafis gloves. I think your right, they will continue to lower. The amount of regeneration bracelets is high enough, but 500k does sound like the most reasonable price for it. I'm pretty sure though that a LOT of pures are probably buying these right now. Many mains will buy these too, but probably not until they fall a bit in price. If they're still 1m like I think they are, then yeah they'er gonna drop till they hit about 500k then more mains will buy them. I mean, thats almost a whip at 1m. But trust me, not that many people have barrows gloves, and I'm sure that a lot of people will be using this.

WARNING: Clan Wars
A lot of people went into Dangerous FFA wearing barrows armor or Bandos, knowing it was like Edgeville, in that you had a fair chance to loot your junk if you die. Now, that is no longer possible. It takes a lot of the fun out of it. It was still dangerous. People could just ice barrage you and kill you, blocking you from getting your stuff back. I would know, considering one of my friends was talking about how he had made people lose millions, totalling up to like 24-25m. Now its just completely dangerous. So the 1 iteming fest begins. This is gonna be pretty much EXACTLY like old BH in terms of gear. Rarely is anyone gonna do anything risky, knowing that they won't be able to get their stuff back. And rarely did anyone risk anything more than like 200k. It's basically gonna be duel arena free for all, and people will just rush each other to death. Thank god they put the trade limit in though cause people would have just xfered things like dragon arrows. I don't like it, though. It really does seem pretty pointless to me.

The New Regen brace
You went from a comparision of regen brace and combat brace to regen brace and barrows gloves... Just thought I'd point that out before theres any confusion. :P This is definately becoming highly bought soon. These gloves are the best for any pure 1-36 defence (36 defense is the lowest you can get rune gloves). And trust me, there are thousands of pures that have the money for the bracelet. Not only that, but as someone mentioned, they are the best buyable gloves now. More people that have not done/completed RFD will buy these gloves. And not to mention, with the small HP restore boost, these could be very popular. However, I wish they had increased the HP rate to be an equivalent of a void spinner. That would have made it a very oftenly used item in things like God Wars and Dagannoth Kings, because using that combined with a bunyip/unicorn would make it very hard to beat, probably eliminating needs for guthans at DK's. But I guess it wasn't necessary. The bracelets will definitely be used a lot in normal training by thousands of people, from pures to mains that haven't done RFD. I don't see them as a good replacement for barrows gloves, though, so they aren't the best, but they're good enough to make a pretty big difference. But I must say: GF to whoever used the bracelets as junk :P

Tortured Soul (lvl-129) Drops
Black items that don't work: Black Helm (h1-h5) Black Salamander (would easily have been the fastest way to kill it if it could have been used) Black Crossbow Black D'Hide Every single black item that is not metal is unusable (minus vambs and stuff, obviously). I would ASSUME that Black (g), black (t), and black kites (h1-h5) don't work. But I can't confirm it, and I don't feel like wasting the money to confirm it. I would also assume that black defender doesn't work, considering I've never seen anyone use it and I think someone earlier in this post said that it doesn't work. When it came to 99 range versus 99 att + str, in the best gears (black knives vs black scim + salve ammy (e)) it ended up being pretty much equal. Maybe I would have done better with a zerker ring instead of a warrior, but idk. Part of me doubts it. The 99 ranger was in black legs, chain, med, kite, ranger boots, etc. Dunno if he used an archer ring cause I didn't ask. I would assume it cause of the ranger boots, though. This place is wildly camped though. Don't even think about trying to go there without a team in ls or without 99 att+str or range. And its a good source of blues and crimsons, thats for sure. Drops will pay off the ppots easily, especially pray flicking.

FoG = money?
heh, wow. Yeah, I must say thats quite a bit. Wouldn't have expected that for your stats, lol :P Whats up with your equipment stats in that pic though? They're all wrong, as if you're only wielding the rune axe o.o

Maging the Corp. Beast
I also would like to know if this is true... and considering people probably won't look past page 1, this could count as a bump I guess. From what I've HEARD, maging is bad... but again thats just what I've heard.

Zamorak Boss Theory TESTED AND CONFIRMED! ===UPDATED====
But higher defence = less damage taken. I would think that it is about even, but this is based on bandos experience solo. I tried whip and obby shield versus my friend who had gs (either bgs or ags, not sure) and same gear and all, similar stats, similar setups and stuff. Our average kills per trip were close enough together to call them the same. And in my experience, zamorak has less defence than bandos does. But we still can not be sure about any of this before we do some testing. And my friend who was similar stats to me is now lower def than I am. (And 94 def is messed up I swear -.- I get hit loads more than I did at level 93 def.. or 88 def for that matter, which I was at for a longgg time. >.<)
-
FoG = money?
Oh. Lol, I've never bought them to sell them. >.> Well where I'm at right now runescape is blocked so I can't necessarily do that. You'd probably want to look at the white and green mage armour, rune gauntlets, and rune zerker shields. To find the best thing to buy... divide the item price by the tokens required to buy the item, and whichever yields the highest number is the best thing to do. I would do this for you but I can't soo yeah >.> sorry. It will be like 3.5 hours before I'm able to access it.
