Ultimate guide to Tormented Monsters 10k views
Um not really sure but I'm gonna try it. Also gl with 99 magic. Lol, I ment I spent the weekend getting 99 magic. Got 800k exp in a day at rock lobs XD Well I've decided to camp wraith again, as I just bought a penguin mask in the GE for 2.9m :D pro ge hax pl0x. Wraith gives junk in the form of elixirs and mithril darts (p) as well, so why not. ANd while I'm at it I'm going to profit from loot... and get charms... etcetera. And even if it takes me like 40 hours to get the elixir thats at least 250k junk an hour :P I'll make a little private video on anticrash while I'm there. Believe it or not, finding a solo world has become really easy it seems. Every single time I go to a world thats not lootshare, its empty it seems. So its really easy to do this solo now... and its pretty good profit and charms and all. EDIT: Think I have a new way to safespot the wraith so you don't get hit when you do. I might try it out.

[RSOF Forum Post] - Combat Level Changes
The good thing about this is the fact that you don't have to take a summoning pouch everywhere you go to get extra combat levels to do stuff, such as one click hellhounds, avoid the trolls when going to god wars (at 137 or something they stop attacking you), etcetera. Friend took 20 damage when he was coming to help a clanmate who died at Saradomin, when normally he should have never been attacked. It basically just meant you had to take a pouch everywhere you went even if you weren't going to use it for non-PvP worlds. You couldn't one-click stuff you should have been able to. This is a good update and I support this a lot.

October 15th 2008 - PVP Worlds + Game Log In Improvements
Yeah, anything that you lose on death is calculated in. If you have protect item on, that lowers the value, as you then keep 1 or 4 items. You're right. Some people take 75k worth of items but use protect item until attacking someone :P No idea for any of these, I would assume the accumulated hot zone points do go away when you enter a safe zone. In BH, they did. Heck, a charged DFS was only a blue skull because it was untradable but alched for 1.2m lol. So I would assume so. Probably. No idea. There are so many possibilities here... so idk, but I think people have been using fremmy helms and dds with random other gear. That is a VERY good question, I would assume so... Heck I'm sure some people have been pking with like 80 addy arrows p++ in invent for their 75k limit lol :P Thats a very good question again... I don't know. It's tradable, so yes. Probably. Oh, btw apparently you CAN get your torsos and capes back but just like Corp Beast, you only have 1 minute. My friend apparently died quite a few times with torso and got it back. But he ended up losing his torso for like the 5th time in his RS career... for the same reason as every single other time. He got a maze >.< This makes void VERY high risk... I mean, if I can make 500k an hour, void is worth like what, 2.5-3.5 to me? Not many people tend to look at it like that. Though you gotta subtract about 250k for the cash gotten back from the games and stuff. Torsos and defenders not as much, torsos of course still being worth a lot. But please, someone TEST IT BEFORE THEY TRY IT. I don't wanna be the one taking all the blame when someone loses their torso because of something I said that I haven't personally tested but that my friend has. But its supposedly a 1 minute timer to get your stuff back, and in old wilderness it was 2. I hope to try pvp worlds soon... cause I didn't get to yesterday. A lot of people say they're good, others say they're bad. Jagex needs to tweak a few mechanics and then it is great. I expect to see sigs saying "December 10th 2007 the death of RuneScape. October 15th 2008 the resurrection of RuneScape" sometime soon XD

A Draconic Guide V1.4
Your gear for meleeing black dragons is really not... good, I guess. You're sacrificing attack and strength bonuses for higher prayer boosts, which is not a smart thing to do. A fury or a glory would boost profits meleeing black dragons by a lot, as you get a LOT faster kills. And I'll take a whip over anything else any day -- its just like iron and steel dragons, they're weak to stab but a whip is still better. This is in my experiences though. You need to try out other gears for the profit per hour too. Prayer conservation isn't always the best thing to do, and a higher range attack you might get more profit per hour even if you are using more prayer per hour, due to the fact that you get more kills and faster kills. I can't deny it though -- this is still a great guide. I don't need any of the methods in here -- already have my own for black dragons and I don't need to kill reds or greens ever. I'm a slayer nub :P. Though I did use this guide a long time ago a couple times as a pure just to check out the brutal green dragons :P But yeah, I'm sure this helps a lot of people out.

"You attack first! No you attack first!"
Most people will not pray unless prayed against first. THe thing about prayer is when you're about 10 steps away from the bank, protect prayer gets really pointless except when looting or rushed... or running to get your cape back when someones trying to barrage you, etcetera. Whats the point of hybriding when they can just run out right there and then? Now when you're in higher levels of the wilderness, its a lot less easy to escape just like that. Thats where prayer actually becomes useful. If someone prays against you you can't just leave like that, so you best come prepared with more than one attack style. But a lot of people find prayer dumb, and it just makes the fight a lot more dumb than it should have been. It's usually an unsaid agreement -- if you don't pray, I won't either. People that don't care and just pray anyways annoy people cause they just want a normal fight, without resorting to their other antics. Sure, normal fights may have occured more in edgeville than anywhere else, but some happened at Drags or MB too of course. There are a hell of a lot of sides to this and its becoming confusing to me to explain all of this. But if you resort to these methods, you'll have them done right back to you and you'll be looked down upon. You all have been acting like you're the only ones with protect prayers and they're not going to do it back if you pray against them. They will, and if they don't, they're the idiots. However, it is inevitable that these prayers will be used, moreso in higher wilderness for fights. In edgeville, you pray and no ones goign to stick aroudn for the fight except to piss you off right back by farcasting and giong to any other antics they wish. You're not going to get any kills in return because no one is going to want to fight you except the kids that annoy you right back, and the chances of that is low. Someone said the whole argument about armour. Okay, who is going to pk in Torags and a DFS and all the best melee defence gear? Only nonskullers, and not many will want to fight them. Besides, if someone pulls out mage on you, you're basically doomed. Pull out karils and lower your other defences and they switch right back. I think I can summarize this all up into a short bit. If you use prayer in edgeville, unless you are getting your cape back or trying to get away from someone you don't want to fight or getting rushed or w/e, you're an idiot. In higher wilderness levels its a strategy, and theres actually a hell of a lot more of a point to hybrid -- if you're not hybriding, the inevitable is going to happen, you're gonna fail when they throw up prayers, cause its gonna happen eventually. You can't just run away and out there. And hybriding can prevent them from escaping, with barraging and when there was teleblock. But when you pray, remember that they're going to pray right back to you -- and if they don't consider yourself lucky to find an idiot. And if you think the prayer issue refers to using boosting prayers like piety or 15% attack and strength, you're terribly wrong. Prayer, when used in terms of pking, generally refers to protect melee, range, or magic. Not anything else. I used to be a pure and I accepted pretty much everything -- but I can't stand people praying against you in edgeville. Whats the point, seriously. You do that and people will do stuff right back to you. Praying at drags and MB just added a little challenge, requiring me to use all my combat skills instead of just my melee. And sorry about how I used present tense a lot -- this post is all about past tense.

Saradomin's Encampment Guide
I didn't think that worked anymore..? it does...i was doing it only yesterday. i also just noticed i made a few typos and such but w/e I think you have to put it on lend until logout, but idk. I haven't tested it, but it does work if you put it on lend until logout, thats for sure. And its a great idea.

A Guide to Hunting Waterfiends
Ahh, its nice to see this back. Its been a hell of a long time since I last replied to your waterfiend guide, lol XD. I mean before I don't even think I had a bunyip! Now I have enough charms for 86 summoning banked O_O. I still do waterfiends with a verac flail, hilariously enough. But thats because I'm going for my last melee 99, defence. I think that after you finish your dharoking guide, you should work on a guide for doing the multicombat waterfiends. They are actually worth it, you just have to unaggro in the top side of the cave first, and its not recommended with under 79 summoning. Actually, I think a titan here is better than a unicorn because it does damage, but I can't test it. What you want to do is you use your healing familiar (unicorn or titan preferably) on the top side and kill that one for 10 minutes. After you're unaggressive you should be able to kill most of the ones on the right side of the tunnel as if its nonmulti. But after you're unaggressive, you want to use a combat familiar -- titans use crush attacks, so they're probably best. Even Geyser Titan has a crush attack, but you have to call it so that the waterfiend is in its melee range. It might be best to piety for most of these kills while they are still agressive to you, and also to use a low population world for slower spawns while you are agressive. Getting rid of aggro is easily the hardest part about the whole multi waterfiends thing, and most people thought "oh you get ripped" but you really don't. Maybe its just because I'm very high statted. But for higher levels its definitely a really good alternative. I'd go on about it but I'd pretty much be creating my own guide on it -- maybe I will, but idk, lol. Just wanted to bring up that multi waterfiends are definitely possible and you should probably look into it.

Saradomin godwars guide
Artemis1330's guide really outdoes this by far, no matter how much his guide is still in development. He just has his guide way better organized... and I don't necessarily agree with your setups. This gives a melee method set up until Artemis1330 starts working on his guide again... if he hasn't quit or disappeared or something >.< But it could have been a lot better and its not really well organized. It needs a lot of work if you want to compare to Artemis1330.

100k+ xp / h Combat training!
Seems like monkey zombies without the ability to use a combat familiar. Sure at monkey zombies you can use familiars, but the guide Muggiwhplar made only uses 10% prayer. If you pietyed, that could easily be 120k an hour probably with higher stats at monkey zombies with a familiar... maybe even 150k. Piety does drain at the same rate as chivalry, SirHartlar. As a matter of fact, it drains at the same rate as using two 15% prayers O.o its weird, I know. I would try this out myself... unfortunately, if I remember right, I have to do an insane amount of quests to do Defender of Varrock >.< So I'ma stick to slayer... but seriously. I can see that this spot seems pretty underestimated. Try proselyte and piety, and you'll notice how fast you train. Nice guide, suprised it took over a week for someone to make this.

Ultimate guide to Tormented Monsters 10k views
No black treasure trail items work. If Black Salamander is ever made to work... which I doubt... it will become the best anticrash weapon by far. Anyways, I got distracted by events and the fact that the coleader of my clan got kicked out and all (its a small clan right now)... and rl stuff too >.> and also getting 99 magic in pretty much a single day at rock lobs lol. So I will type up one of my anticrash methods, its a simple one where I really didn't have to do anything more after I did it. When waiting for spawn, stand by the door and open it. When it spawns, if it goes for you, attack it then run back through the door 2 squares. Close the door and attack the wraith. When the other guy opens it, close it again. This annoyed so many people and I would usually get 30-60 damage before they were able to get through and attack again... and they'd usually just hop. I hope you can understand it.

Guide to training smith and mage in F2P (or P2P) UPDATED
I tried this out. Its a good way to train smithing and magic without losing too much money, I must say. I only lost about 40 gp per bar I made doing mithril. The way I did it is this: Put your nats and some random item (whatever you want) in your inventory. Withdraw one of the mith ore and put it in your 12th slot in your inventory. Then you withdraw 5 mith ore and 20 coal and superheat, clicking the mith ore in the 12th spot. A lot less mouse movement and you're a lot less likely to screw up. Withdraw all coal (gives you 20 again), deposit mith bars and withdraw w/e mith ores (gives you 5 mith ore again). That mith ore in the 12th spot should still be there as long as you withdraw the coal first. Doing this is quite click-intensive, though. The fastest mage and smithing exp doing this is of course superheating gold ores with the goldsmith gaunts. But you lose a lot of gp to it and you can't really do much with the bars after you make them except craft them, and you'd probably need to use gems when crafting them to sell them. If you do manage to sell them, its like 570 gp per bar lost. This is really only a good idea for people with a lot of money in p2p. Anyways, there are a lot of pluses for each ore. Funny enough, the higher level bar you are making, the less amount of money you lose, and you get faster smithing exp... but you also get slower mage exp. Mithril actually seems like its slower than adamant in mage exp actually because you gotta do a lot more clicking everytime you bank. Its quite annoying and I'm sure adamant would have been a lot easier for me, but I can't do it (58 smith >.>) Its a good method, and its decent smithing experience I must say. But you need to elaborate on how to do each bar and use some pictures.

Pickpocketing success rate
Blackjacking is of course the fastest, but this would be interesting to look at. I'd like to see if paladins are actually a good source of money combined with decent thieving experience... ahh the good old days... and 220k exp an hour pickpocketing Knights? Well now I see why Elishot was able to get 200m exp at level 4, lol XD

Worst slayer assignment
When you're training attack or defence, waterfiends are annoying :\. Good charms, good strength with sara sword, controlled with zammy spear... but if you want to specifically train attack or defence your best bet is verac's flail. :\ The charms and the items you get are the only reasons that I don't block this right now lol.

A Pures Guide to Melee Training and Making Money
If a pure has it then yes, use it. Most pures probably haven't done the quest and won't because it will give them prayer levels/exp.

Ultimate guide to Tormented Monsters 10k views
I'm 95% sure when it was blessed it said something about the power of saradomin being put into it. And I'm pretty much 100% sure that even regular spirit shield has saradomin in it, but I would need to find someone who hasn't done the quest to find that out for me. Anyways... I'll no longer be able to test if Blessed Spirit Shield suddenly counts as a Saradomin item... lets just say I logged on JUST as the GE prices updated and got my BSS in for the new low value and sold it for 12m :D I was like lol wut? Now I wait for price manipulators to stop buying out the DFS so I can get one >.> I'm still working on the anticrash tactics. I should have them done sometime this week... I'll probably finish them up after I get 87 slayer, which is only like 60k exp away. And it is worth it to solo for money and charms. But with a team, you won't have a problem with the elixir drops or spirit shield drops... so yeah, team might be better. Oh and fair warning if you do get a BSS and start using it... it alchs for 840k (No I didn't alch one :P Gen store price * 1.5 = high alch) meaning that it protects over everything in the game except for Dragonfire Shield and probably the shield with a sigil. >.> Also, I heard in the Hidden Updates thread that Black Defenders and Black Claws now work at Wraith.

Circus Info
Got like 1189 on agility, 1145 on magic, and something like 1250 in ranged. I brought a range potion for range... didn't pray. And I think I didn't start my performances with an emote... so I missed a few extra points that I could have gotten cause I only did 9 emotes. But I can't remember if I did or not. I'll try summer pies and magic potions + prayers next time. I DID use mage boosting gears (ahrims, ancient staff, etc.) and range boosting gears (dragonhides, bgloves, unholy book etc). I'll wear my ringmaster hat and see how that affects my performance next time... Which isn't that far off... if it hasn't already been moved, lol.

Need help chinning
Indeed, you'll want a different method to train at those lower levels. But after about 80 or 85, if you really want to chinchompa to a higher level, muggiwhplar made a guide on chinning efficiently... I can't remember what it's called though.

Entering Dk`s with no Suicider??
Yes, but its a little hard. Basically, the method I was taught was to kill supreme with melee/guthans/whatever and mage prayer on, all attack/def boosts on (piety is best here), then run back up the ladder. Wait about 10 seconds and go back down with mage prayer up. If prime attacks you, go right back up, and wait 10 seconds again. When prime doesn't go on you when you go down, run around the south side of DK's until you reach the maging spot. Make SURE you are on the south edges when running over, otherwise there is a LOT more risk of prime turning to attack you. And there you go, you made it to the mage spot with no suicider. Of course, this is a quite dangerous method to do. You risk quite a bit of damage. Often I will go with a friend who wants to mage as well and kill supreme with him. I've even gotten really lucky and not even had to kill supreme! But don't count on that happening, cause that's insane luck. And it is best to enter in a slower spawning world then hop to a higher population world so that it is less likely for supreme to spawn if you keep getting unlucky on prime. Chances are that won't happen even in a full world, but its still a good precaution to take.

lootshare
When someone misses a rare drop on lootshare instead of coinshare, it raises their lootshare points by whatever that item was worth. You can not check what your LSP is exactly of course, but the higher your LSP is, the more drops you are going to get because it is trying to make up for the item that that person has missed to attempt to even out the loot. The thing is, their lootshare points go with them no matter what Clan Chat they are in, even if it is different from the original clan chat. So if someone missed a 40m drop, they are going to get about 40m in drops before everyone starts getting loot equally again. It actually could be 20m, because then everyone else would be 20m owed in drops and so would he, so I don't know. LootShare is a really confusing system, so yeah... just know if someone's getting a lot more drops over everyone else, they missed an item on lootshare.

Cannoning with profit?
There is a great guide on qeltar's site, http://www.truthscape.com that shows how to cannon ice trolls for profit and 45k range exp per hour. It is very easy, but you will also need to kill one spawn of something every so often in order to take the least amount of damage possible. Just look for cannoning ice trolls on the site. Its a great read.

Saradomin's Encampment Guide
Ranging is still very easy and good. I'm 95 defence and 92 range now (a LOT better stats than I used to be), but I'm also 99 attack and 99 strength. I've been using guthans and terrorbird mainly now for when I go with my clan, while they are using bunyips/titans/unicorns with veracs, all ranging. I used my brand new blessed spirit shield there, and I'm hoping that Jagex fixes it so that it can be used as a saradomin item soon. I usually use sara d'hide body and zamorak kiteshield. I might try meleeing soon because I have veracs and my stats are even better than before. But its still not that high of a range defence. I'll almost definitely still prefer ranging because of a lot of things. You can more easily tell who its on for one. Two, you can see it going for you and have time to start running before it gets a chance to hit you. 3, you can continue to hit saradomin even when its focused on you. 4, the melee minion dances around a lot more. 5, if I remember correctly, eagle eye drains at half the speed that piety does. Yeah, a lot of reasons to prefer range over melee, even if I've never tried it recently :P. Maybe you MIGHT get faster kills with melee, but idk. I'm hoping to get the money for 88 summoning soon, too. When I get 88 summoning, I'm going to stop using guthans and terrorbird and switch to veracs+unicorn. I might try veracs+titan again in a bit to see how I do, as it has been a while since I have. And chances are that I'll probably stick to titan cause guthans can be quite unreliable at times >.< Still a great guide, but you might wanna fix up some of the inventories for the super restore update that makes it restore summoning soon.

Barrows is cheap! No really, take a look!
Unfortunately, theres been like 10 barrows guides on using salamander for 1. 2, its cheaper if you use another type of bow for ahrim... even a crystal bow is cheaper. My favorite, personally, is rune crossbow and broad tipped bolts. You can also use things like mith arrows/broad arrows/addy arrows with magic shortbow. Decent guide, but its just been written one too many times.

A Pures Guide to Melee Training and Making Money
I get almost the same experience/h with fury and salve (e) When I actually feel like training again I'll go test it. I would have my friend try it out but hes an addict to slayer so idk if he will. (And an addict to pray flashing, too >.>) Could just depend on your stats and all. My friend whos 95 99 25 would probably do better than someone whos 70 85 1 or whatever defence you want. And he probably doesn't have Salve Ammy quest done on his pure, but I know he would be able to do it because he's done it on his first pure before he got hacked for defence :\. And he has slayer helm so he's probably like "theres no point in me getting a salve ammy >.>" But salve ammy shouldn't have any less of an effect for pures than it does for mains. When I was a pure, I know it definitely sped up my training when I used it. I did slayer, of course, but slayer helms for aberrant spectres didn't exist back then. Either way, for any undead assignment, I used salve ammy (e) over the black mask, and it was definitely faster than when I trained with any other method. If you're doing calculations, make sure you get the time difference right, cause salve ammy (e) has like 2 less prayer bonus than a fury. But yeah, definitely retest it... it doesn't seem right for a fury to be the same exp per hour as salve ammy (e) there.

The Normal Spirit Shield, a tanks dream come true?
Blessed Spirit shield will never go less than 840k... cause it alchs for 840k. (I checked yesterday by valuing it in the Gen Store and multiplying it by 1.5, so don't think I've gone insane :P) But it should be about 1m-2m at lowest. It's a great shield for DK's (especially maging), God Wars, Fight Caves, any range or maging that requires defence really... EsI have found sooo much use for it. It's not worth 14.8m though. Jagex really needs to lower the elixir a lot. Another downside is the alch value. We don't know the alch values of the shields with the sigils yet unless someone here with a shield with a sigil will go value it in a gen store (don't sell it in there, please >.>) and posts the price that displays. Well.. lets just say this shield will protect over a godsword. The only item, pre-corp beast, that protected over a godsword was a Dragonfire Shield (alch value of 1.2m). On topic though, cause this isn't about BSS. The normal spirit shield is pretty good though for hybriding and all, too, at a much more price efficient cost for things like pking. In wars its good too, as you get great defence without lowering any of your offensive stats. So yeah, it is pretty good.

Master Slayer Guide by Axe Man Jack (AOW)
Dude warped terrorbirds are awesome. Have you been living under a rock or something? Please don't start this argument. It is a matter of personal opinion to why someone blocks what they block. Considering he is the owner of TSG, I am absolutely sure that he knows the experience rate of warped terrorbirds is really good. But a lot of people block them because of the chimes being so annoying for them, and they can't stand it. And I'm sure he is aware of the drops. The same could be said for black demons. Black demons is pretty fast experience, but its a very very long task. They drop good charms, but some people just can't stand how long they take, and they don't get much reward except charms and a few rune items. Everyone has their reasons, and I always see people arguing about blocking assignments to get someone to change their decision, usually to no avail. So yeah, lets not go there. It will just turn the thread into a massive argument.
