I was just thinking the other day about last names and marriage, and if I would take my husbands last name, or keep my own. My mother kept her name as it is a Polish name and she was very proud of it, I have the same predicament as I am very proud of my last name being it one with great history. My last name once owned a powerful dynasty in China, and my family still own large parts of land in Hong Kong because of this. I would even suggest my husband took my name instead of his. So if I were to marry I would like to keep my last name, but having see my mother do this, everyone always assumed she was not related to me or my siblings (we took our father's last name), so instead I would prefer to double-barrel it. I plan to one day marry my current boyfriend, as does he, and his name is already double barreled, so he wants to drop a name of his surname and adopt mine. So basically I just wanted to ask, girls, if you are planning to marry someday, would you keep your last name or change it to your husbands? Or indeed compromise with them double-barreled? Or would you want him to take your last name? And guys, if you were to be married would you expect your wife to take your surname, or would you take hers? Would you be happy to have a different last name to your wife? Or just consider double-barreling the names?
  9. Wait are you trying to make mispronunciations of things in runescape? If so, then maybe I understand the point of this now :P.
  10. Ahahahahaahaha Michael Jagexson, I think someone plays too much runescape.
  11. I understand you want to over-exaggerate the feet, but in perspective to the cans on the floor, the cans are about as big as his little toe! That was my point, sorry if it was unclear! :). Oof that's a lot of cleaning up if you were to make it into a pixel, but I think it would look quite good once done.

I absolutely adore South Park. It pokes fun at things that other people don't touch, and they always do it in either a clever or such a completely ridiculous way. I can't understand why people would take offence to it. My favourite episodes are that one where they find out how Family Guy scripts are written... AHAHAH (can't stand Family Guy but that's for another time..), that mormon one, the ninja one (good times with weapons?) and the Butter's episode. I love him.
  14. Remember the game gear? Yes I still have mine and whatever Sonic I had on that was so amazing, nothing else rivals it so far.
  15. Lol, my friend bought a DS when it first came out and wouldn't stop talking about this operation game... Jesus when he explained it I was thinking the boy was crazy, it sounded LAME. Then one time I went to visit him at work and he had it with him, needless to say, I went in there at noon, didn't leave until 10 pm. It's actually a great game, I have an inkling my boyfriend is buying me a DS for my birthday, and I hope to God he gets me this damn addictive game.
  16. Snoop Dogg - Ain't no Fun. I still laugh insanely to that, and G'z & Hustlas. Tony Matterhorn -Start The Party, intro just gets me up on my feet and the only damn thing he said was tick tock... it just makes me want to dance so bad!
  17. My baby cousin strikes again with his "jokes"! One from today: Why did the girl fall of the swing? Because she had no arms. :XD:
  18. I think it's ok, but one thing I would say is those spray cans are tiny compared to the guy's feet! Coming from the same angle and near enough the same point on the floor, I think they would maybe be a little bigger :). Also not really criticism, but what does he have on his face?
  19. Ah right mate. I understand your concern now. Sorry about the mishap there. I thought it was an isolated incident, but with many examples it is quite confusing. Have you thought about going to higher powers to complain about the shoddy student union? It might be folorn, granted it is here at King's College London, with the largest, most useless student union in the country, but if you get a large enough congingent you might be able to get some results. Sorry I did not make that clear, just can't come out with the right words at the right times me lol. I have suggested to the president of the society that we try and get something sorted, find out why we have been declined and given no viable reason, but our president is just not serious, and hardly a committed member at all. I work at my student union bar which you would have thought would make things like this easier, but no. And now the manager of the bar is thinking of banning people from our society to get permission to enter the SU bar, because the club we hold our events at, he has something against, and because he found a flyer for one inside the student union bar, he now thinks that's reason to ban all the committee members. But this is a whole other issue, one I do not really know how to solve, it's difficult to think of reasons why they treat our society in this way. I look at other societies and none of them have any trouble at all, they are educated people just like ourselves and are able to hold nights of a similar quota to ours, yet they do not have all this stupidness from the managers. If I had the president of the society on my side then I may have more success, but the only thing she cares about is being able to write "I was president of ACS" on her CV. We were thinking of usurping her but looking at the current system, we'd probably be banned from the society or something stupid. Gah I could go on about this for days, so I'll end it here, lol.
  20. Meh I did some modelling in the Summer for some quick cash, THEY CUT MY HAIR, made me wear hideous outfits, and the photographers that were there... Ugh. Only for money to fund my tuition fees, otherwise Sports Psychologist here I come. As for a picture that sums up myself, unfortunately I am lacking imagination.
  21. No you don't understand, this was at the beginning of term, we have since then proposed a number of different nights, asked if we can have some of our society's DJ's Dj at some of the nights, propose a radio show. All of which have been declined. I only gave one example to just simply give an example. At the end of the day we have to hold our events in a local club because the student union bar refuses to support us, and have provided no reason to do so. What else do you expect me to do?
  22. Did you bother to get the union's reasoning for turning it down? Of course we asked them, they said they didn't want an "Urban Music Night" and said they had to go and meet someone else, and left us there to ponder. No, you see, you asked them but you didn't get the answer. I find it unreasonable for you not to get a valid excuse, but even more unreasonable for your party to speculate without having any pretences to base upon. That's really how racial prejudice begins. If we did not get an answer after asking, what else are we going to? Of course we are going to think between us what the reasoning for it is if we were not provided with one, we were both irritated at not being able to organise it, and that they had blown us off with no reason. I know for one I'm not going to sit there and just live with it, there has to be some reason for it, questioning what that reason could be does not seem in any way unreasonable to me.
  23. Because his hand cannot push that plug in... oh wait I think I get it now, the power was off. Well if it was on, then he cannot push the plug in, that was my point lol, sorry misunderstood. EDIT: Wait a sec... your disfigurement is essentially the same as mine, a deformed hand, meaning he cannot pull out the plug, the same as which my image was conveying. Bah if you're going to criticise what I post, don't take the same idea I.E. hand too mangled to pull out the plug, and repost the same damn thing.
  24. I think I isolate most of those when choosing music to listen to. Rhythm is what catches me initially, I can like a song from the beat only. I like music that makes me want to dance, and a good rhythm can do that instantly. Most of the music I listen to is based around a drum beat. I love really talented singers as well, I can listen to so many artists a Capella, John Legend, Marvin Gaye, Lemar, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, old Mariah Carey etc. they have such beautiful voices. And then I listen to a lot of classical music as well... No drum beat there, occasionally some vocals, but yeah, love to listen to it while studying.
