  1. As long as it ain't the ginger one... Ha!
  2. If this question was on a pet such as a cat or dog I would have to think a little deeper. But seeing as it is only a hamster, $2100? You must be crazy, considering they offer you little companionship, sleep when you're awake and keep you up at night, and in my experience, BITE you. Save the money.
  3. In one of my sport psychology lectures I was taught how to send yourself into deep relaxation to the point where you feel as if you can't move your body any more. It consisted of a mantra and some baroque music which apparently helped slow your heart rate down. When alone I don't play any music to myself, but what happens is I lie down on my back with my arms resting on my stomach. All distractions are turned off, and I just listen to myself breathe. Then to clear all thoughts away, on each exhalation I silently say the number one. After my body starts to feel heavier and I feel more comfortable, I start counting down from 10, still on each exhalation. Then once one is reached, it is repeated again and again until I want to come out of the relaxation. I usually do this to get to sleep lol, as odd as it might sound, so I don't need to come out of it. When I was showed this technique, it was then that the baroque music was played, just to enhance the state created. To then come out of deep relaxation, again listening to breathing and then counting from one to ten on each inhalation. Upon each inhalation, you draw in more air and at a sharper rate, and on ten you "wake up". I probably explained that really badly lol, but yeah I use it almost every night, sends me straight to sleep.
  4. Harper Lee - To Kill A Mockingbird At least I hope that fits the bill. My most favourite book.

No way. Imagine out living your children, your grandchildren, everyone around you family, friends all dying around you. No thanks!
  6. Valentines is ages away yet, my birthday to consider first lol. I think he's organising some kind of weekend away though, valentines or birthday present. I got nosy and flicked through where he writes down all his mixes, found French hotel names and how much a bedroom cost lol.
  7. You could always just mess with anatomy... Lol. My boyfriend was not amused. God my eyes were put so far down.
  8. Can't you get that Otex thingmibob that's always advertised, (here in the UK at least). Yeah my housemate always tells me not to use cotton buds. what happened to you though, ouch, not a nice image at all, hope you recover, and all is well.
  9. That doesn't bother me so much, as when the conversation does move on, it generally happens between only a few people, so if someone only recently comes to view the thread and posts their opinion due to the first post, why shouldn't they? I often don't read the whole topic if there are many pages to it, just because people repeat each other. If there is intelligent discussion, I may read a lot more, but it depends. I do, however, agree with the point you made on the fact that a bad topic start can lead to a good discussion, as I have witnessed this happen.
  10. I have to disagree. "Favorites" threads aren't "insightful" by any means, but that doesn't mean there isn't a sort of quality to them. People like to discuss favorites and such, so in a reasonable quantity, I think these types of threads are good for message boards. I don't think threads have to be deep or insightful to be of a quality - fun and interesting can also add to the quality of a post/thread. I guess I see where you are coming from. I just know that for one, in these types of "favourites" topics I don't read anyone else response, and only post my own. Not reading the whole thread always says something to me, that the most part of it is entirely uninteresting. It doesn't leave anything up for discussion and so I would not regard them as good topics.
  11. Why did the koala fall out of the tree? Because it was dead. Lol, I'm sorry I just had to post. My 4 year old cousin told me that. God knows what goes on in his head.
  12. One which I would say are of low quality are things such as, do you like peas or carrots? Which is your favourite ice cream flavour? Seriously, who reads all that junk. I would say, one where people can voice an opinion which is more than a couple of words long. An insightful topic that allows a diverse number of people to post, and one that is thought-inspiring.
  13. Haha, I recognise you! Which is surprising as I normally take no interest in people's names! Think it's that scary avatar.... So yeah, how would I rate this? 1/10 meaning not known and 10/10 for being known? Surely there is only 2 answers, but ah well. Guess on this scale it'll be 10? Pfft. Rubbish scale.
  14. Soltex 3000 - Killer Walk, Prezzi Bounce. :D
  15. You know those things you put on to go in the sea(well, I usually do). They have elastic fronts. Usually a navy-colour. Really cheap. -Mitch Swimming trunks? Speedos? Confused lol. Nah, they're shoes. Kinda' like these. -Mitch PLIMSOLLS! Oh yes, I used to wear them in infant school.
  16. Bought santas for 5m each.
  17. I would report them. Friends on runescape, for me at least, are so fickle.
  18. Carry on like normal until I died. Why focus on what is going to kill me, I will ultimately die one day, so I would just carry on with life as I do now.
  19. When I played I guess I would have been classified as a skiller. Not on purpose, but my combat was 78 and my total 1500+ (I can't remember exactly. I just decided after a while that I didn't enjoy combat any more. It seems silly to me to gain experience on a character for some kinda "status". But at the end of the day, if you enjoy what you are doing, then by all means, keep enjoying it.

  21. Out of interest Ape, what are daps? I live in England myself and have never come across the term. Oh and couch can be called setee as well.
  22. My granny recently got a car (she'll be 80 in february) and as far as i know she has to retake her test every two years, though I may be wrong. Personally I think that'sa good idea - it may be stressful for older people but at least it;l'll make things safer. Oh really! I didn't know that! I thought it was one of those ideas that people always say, but are never enforced! That's great.
  23. Kinda ironic to say that people don't like to read, in a forum where people type things for others to read. For me it's a matter of, I don't enjoy to read things in there, so I don't visit. But I enjoy reading in here, so I post in here.
  24. Yeah and racist, whoever was chatting about Asians. But anyways, I reckon that old people should retake their driving test or something, to ensure they are road safe. But meh, I don't have money to drive, so either way it doesn't bother me.
  25. I never look at anyone's name, I just read the posts. So for me, I only post to voice an opinion, as I have no idea who is who.
