2 hits with the new Black Mask
imagine if the wepon you used was dharoks axe and full dharoks armour at low hp... major damage!!! i sudenly want to go get the black mask and full dharoks Too bad you need to wear dharok's helm for the set effect. :x I just hit a 41 with whip at 89 strength without berserker ring (using row for a d med? ) and with fury instead of strength amulet on Black Demons. Priceless new item for slayer training. Too bad you can't wear it while on task killing dag kings (guthans :( ) or the kq (veracs :( ). Still pretty nice, though. Perhaps it would benefit a kbd trip? :-w

Mage attack bonus
Thanks for reminding me of the lesser amulets. It has been ages since I've seen a mage ammy, lol. Looks like my setup is the max mage offense, though. :| Oh well. :)

Mage attack bonus
What set-up has the highest mage attack bonus? Helm - Neck - Cape - Chest - Legs - Weapon - Shield - Ring - Boots - I think it is this: Helm - Ahrim or Farseer (+6) Neck - Fury (+10) Cape - God (+10) Chest - Ahrim (+30) Legs - Ahrim (+22) Weapon - Master Wand... yuck (+20) Shield - Mage's Book (+15) Ring - Seer's (+4) Boots - Infinity (+6) Hand - Dark Gloves (+6) Total - +129 If this is the highest offensive set-up please mention if there are cheaper alternatives with the same bonuses. Money isn't a problem but why waste it on a "sw00t" version. =;

Do you agree with the Wise Old Man's philosophy?
Most (90%+) situations in a ROLE PLAYING game that involve characters can directly translate into real world examples and back. All his excuses were just that EXCUSES. Just because your momma didn't hug you and your daddy touched you doesn't give you the right to rape and murder. The same thing translates into ANY type of negative acting out. Life is hard. Nobody had a perfect childhood and apparently the WOM didn't have a perfect adult life. That gives him a right to complain. That gives him a right to stop helping the ungrateful. That gives him the right to go on Oprah and whine about how messed up his head is. It does NOT give him the right to murder and steal. And if he is simply jaded to the value of a "human" because of all his battles then he needs to retire in a more permanent fashion. Helping people is, and will always be, a semi-sweet endeavor. Theoretically, when you help somebody you should expect EXACTLY nothing in return; no thank-you's, no gratitude, no tax deduction, etc. Altruism should be it's own reward. The problem is that human beings are inherently and ultimately (as in "in the end" not "greatly") selfish. There is no such thing as a 100% selfLESS act. I mother saves her daughter from a burning whatever and ends up giving her life for her. Yes, it is a very benevelant act but could the mother actually live with the knowledge that she chose herself over her baby? Possibly, but the life wouldn't be worth living and, knowing this, she choses the least selfish option. If you accept the fact that nobody is TRULY selfless you can more easily see the ASPECTS of acts that appear to be selfless... and vice versa *hint hint*. Your view on your supposed view is "backasswards", or whatever abomination my father is currently using (he actually speaks in a more intentionally unintelligible manner than most leetspeakers, lol). You are not weak because of your inability to harm others; it is in fact the opposite. The weak-minded are those who have problems with foreign words such as empathy or sympathy. You need to be prepared to protect you and your own, though, if the problem arises. Causing harm to prevent harm is acceptable as long as it is a measured and provoked or preventative response. Don't be afraid to let loose to save your life or your kin. The other part that is backwards is the idea that the only way to succeed in life is to ruthlessly acquire money. While I have never been personally rich I have experienced a LOT of money and I can assure you that I would never trade a million things in my life for more of it. Get a job that you enjoy and that pays the bills that are required for you to enjoy the rest of life. Don't concern yourself with the millions that you aren't making because if you do make them you will worry about the billions that you aren't.

Lol, this was funny.
Change your display to 800x600 and use the downloadable windows client from jagex. It is a nice change but I didn't grow too attached. :notalk:

players house increase chance of random?
There was a way to make loads off of mazes awhile back. Simply combine alching, full inventory, and a little combat and poof at least 3 mazes an hour. I think I have a pic where I had two on one screen. Pretty fast cash when you combine the profit from both alching and mazes. At first I was concerned it was bug abuse but a query simply told me that randoms are RANDOM. :-w Here we go: That was the start of a record day. I recieved 2 rick turpentines, 1 freaky forrester, 3 niles (or giles i forget but they were all the same), only 2 swarms, 1 evil chicken, 2 genies, and 17 MAZES. I played for a long time that day but it was probably only 6 or 7 hours (AGES ago). Made upwards of 730k. \

stop burning in trouble brewing!
Wow, I have yet to see such blanket ignorance in response to a post on TIF. I hope this IS naivety not stupidity because that would be sad. Very sad. Why would you want to do something that is so unbalanced? You get a TINY plus and they get a HUGE negative. W00tz0rz, a spot of fm xp! and Great, tons of potential xp lost. If you saw a little girl drop a quarter when she was trying to get a gumball would you put your foot over it? It's a freaking QUARTER to you but to her it is a gumball and a bunch of fun. Your gain in both situations is FAR outweighed by her/their loss, let alone the fact that it inspires retaliation, which costs you more xp than you would gain from the burning. :wall: This is like most rc pkers. They gain a glory (wee 60-85k) and can cost their opponent hours in pouch re-gathering. You are all their for xp right? Then why not do what you can to GET it? It is not like the opposing team is filled with scammers, hackers, your clan's nemesis', etc. They are just people out to have fun GETTING xp. The only exceptions that I can see to this are 1. playing against enemies and 2. COMPETING against friends. If you know your opponents then feel free to have fun either way. Burning is a very effective way to limit their winnings so do it if you are just there to compete and not there for xp... because you won't get very much after everything is on fire. If you are playing to win then burn. If you are playing for xp then avoid burning at all costs. I will burn if I see a friend just to bug him maybe ONCE but only if I know he has the water on him. It is a joke that is funny ONE TIME but otherwise wastes loads of potential xp. As of now I have yet to burn at all.

Pest Control Too EASY?
Let's just say an average round of Pest Control takes 1̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâý minute.. That's 40 point every hour.. To get 400 points = 400/40 = 10 hours.. Not taken in consideration that you lose aprox. every fifth round.. My average is 64 points an hour with zero losses. The fastest possible is around 50 seconds a round. All times include boat loading etc. I did a 31 second game last night :D Sorry, I mispoke (mistyped?). What I meant was the fastest possible AVERAGE is around 50 seconds a round including boat loading, etc. With luck and very strong players you could take all four portals out in the time it takes for the 4 specs. With 4 on the weak portal and 7 on each of the other portals you could easily take it out in the four specs. I knew what I meant in my head. #-o ..... :-w

what do you do in PC
1. D baxe spec (slow worlds) OR single regular att pot dose (Affliction/Heart worlds). 2. Double att pot dose if d baxe spec OR set-up dds and spec. 3. Unload 4 dds specs on portal OR whip portal. 4. Equip whip and beat down portal OR continue the pain. 5. Destroy the next portal (highest hp left). 6. Leave all three prayers on and load next boat. Every 100 or so games I will get REALLY unlucky and spec eight 0's and not be able to get the 50 damage in but normally I get well over 100 damage in a minute. Anybody on a high-level world that is under 100 combat should unload dds specs on the portal and go straight for the monsters (while watching for spinners) until they get their 50; then return to the portals.

Pest Control Too EASY?
That argument is as valid as saying that it is hard to sell a party hat set for 500mil on an unpopulated world. Of course it will be hard if you do it the hard way. How many people have 500mil cash in the average world? What are your chances of finding them? What are your chances of beating pc with 5 level 40s? The reverse is rather easy. How hard would it be to sell a phat set on world 2 in the phat section for the price of just a blue phat? How hard would it be to beat a PC game with smart 126's at 1hp with full dharok's, super setted, and praying? PC, like anything else in the game, is as hard/easy as you make it.

The fastest possible is around 50 seconds a round. All times include boat loading etc. Don't lie.. :^o 50 seconds every round.. Wow, what world do you do PC on? Yes, I am a liar. You obviously have no or poor experience on the subject. Try thinking before accusing. I have been at portals where I am the noob at 109 combat. 25 people, 4 portals, 6 on each portal with 1 floater, dds spec (x2) x 4 x 6 x the average hit for a level ~110 min. I can assure you that I have been in rounds of 50 seconds or less and 64 an hour is FAR from improbable. Let's say the average hit with a dds is 15 even though most have upwards of 85 str easily. That's 15 (average damage) x 2 (2 hits per spec) x 4 (number of specs) x 6 (number of PCers) = 720 damage in the time it takes for 4 dagger-speed attacks; which is more than a portal's total hp. This doesn't take into account the fact that ALL players pray for str and att and most use some sort of stat booster all while wearing the best possible gear. My slash and strength bonus were 120 or so. So, let me say this again: I know from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, not just "I think, so I will call other people liars", that you can get rounds complete AND loaded on the boat in 50 seconds or less. In fact, if I am slow to the portal, I sometimes have a hard time getting the required 50 damage. I pc with Affliction and Heart Unit so the world varies.

Pest Control Too EASY?
It is WAY too easy... but I like leveling quickly and won't complain. :-w I agree that this will bring a huge portion of people to maxed out combat stats very quickly and the wildy will become VERY dangerous to non-pkers compared to now. Who are the people that have the organization to pull of worlds of only 100+ PCers? Pking clans are the majority. Welcome to the wildy of tomorrow loaded with maxed out pkers. #-o This is great for pkers against non-pkers but will make the wildy a more "even" playing field. Pking skill will determine the majority of deaths/victories soon much more than currently. I think that most pkers who are of average ability will end up leaving the wild for the simple fact that the few very skilled (and/or possibly very lucky) pkers will constantly defeat them. Nobody wants to keep shelling out gp for repeated losses. Even though I don't pk, I am all for the smart pker winning. Once the tools (stats/armor) are equal, only skill will separate the pker from the pkee. My two cents and therefore my OPINION not fact.

Rcty's Weekly Poll #003 - [CLOSED]
Melee. You should have made the poll say "Which combat stat do you enjoy raising the most?" Include prayer, defense, hp (?lol?), etc.

Summoning - your expectations?
IF it is summoning I could care less about combat; it is easy enough to raise. I want to summon a beaver to help me wc or maybe a pelican to help me fish. Beavers and Pelicans :3>

Your Luckiest RS Day Ever?
My favorite day was getting a d med the first time I went to barrows... then getting 3 santas worth of items that week (santas were 5.5mil at the time I think). The luckiest day was when I was barrowing with lobs (recieved a few from that minigame near barrows) and saw a blood on the ground down there. I figured that even one blood is worth more than a lob so I ate one and went and picked up the blood (thinking that there might be maybe 30 max). After finding a couple thousand bloods, guthan spear 0, guthan helm 0, and becoming 12mil+ richer I was quite suprised. I gathered it all up and teled to lumby and then fally but couldn't find the poor soul. I would have felt too guilty to keep it otherwise (provided that they were not a scammer, rascist, etc.) I think laikrob was on when I found it and started teleing around, lol. She and Golv got a chain near that date (I believe) so we were all having a great time. \

Sharks or Lobbies?
Sharks are poor cash for the time required. Monks can't be beat for speed vs. value. Try them out before you go with sharks. Lobs aren't really an option since they are VERY slow cash and poor xp. Sharks more than make up for the lack of speed with the extra value and fishing/cooking xp. I originally thought that cooking gauntlets helped prevent burning monks but now believe the opposite. Given their required level and the differences in levels between lobs with and without guantlets it should be impossible for me to burn them but rarely it happens. There is a SLIGHTLY less chance of burning with the lumby stove but if you are cooking huge amounts then I would stick with rogue's den. I would say that monks are by far superior to all other fish when it comes to speed, xp, value, and time. I bring a log and cook each load that I fish since it isn't any slower than rogue's den and I hate raising firemaking. :boohoo:
