I don't know what they said in earlier episodes, I thought it was 12. I am positive they said 12 in this episode, and I just watched the picture part again and there are 12 people in it. Oh and I'll second the Lost is better statement.

You can buy a first gen one for $100 now. Not too bad of a deal. Still don't think I would use it enough to make it worth it though.

If the farmers don't want to sell to the corporations, they wouldn't have to. If there is no one else to sell to, then they don't sell and they do something else.

Um, yes? If the farmers feel they are being treated unfairly, they don't have to sell to the companies anymore. If all the farmers did that, then the companies wouldn't have any sugar to buy, and would have to pay more or go out of business.

No. What people need to realize is that capitalism is NOT perfect. Just take a look at companies such as Mcdonalds and Walmart.. *shudders* and imagine how much worse they would be if America was 100% capitalist. Democracy isn't perfect ether. Yes, the concept is good- every one, no matter what background you come from gets to have their say. However it is VERY easy to take advantage of. For example, lets take the annual presidential election in America. Think about who's counting the votes. Is it the people?! NO! It's the government! The government could just manipulate the numbers around so that the people believe said party candidate won, when in fact, the other person won! In essence, a party's candidates could stay in power forever because of this, and the people would feel no need to rebel because they believe they're being treated fairly. McDonalds and Wal-mart provide cheap goods and services, I see nothing wrong with that. If the votes are being changed, that isn't democracy. Your reasoning fails there.

Yeah, that's the first line in Wikipedia. You contradicted yourself right after that. Electricity is a means of production, it being partially controlled by the state is not capitalist. Any sort of welfare is not capitalist. Any sort of controls on the market are not capitalist (capitalist doesn't necessarily equal a perfect market). A military, police force, and judicial system would be the only government institutions in a capitalist market, and some would even argue that they don't belong. The only action the government would take in regards to the market are the enforcement of contracts.

Most people on these boards wouldn't know what 4chan is. But anyways, the humour on uncylopedia is VERY recycled throughout the articles. It's rare to find a gem in there. Everyone knows what 4chan is. It isn't a "secret" place anymore, and hasn't been for a long time.

I wouldn't call any country capitalist, or even socialist. All countries are pretty much a mix. Sure the US is mostly capitalist, but there are also a lot of socialist properties to it also. 1 in 5 people are employed by the government. Income tax is about 33%. You could also say that it corporatist, which may be a word I just made up. Anyways it means that corporations control a lot more than they should, and that is not capitalism.

It was Nintendo if I remember correctly. Anyways they don't change their methods because the way they do it now makes them a lot of money. Put out the same game every year with a new roster and sell a million copies makes some pretty good money for the amount invested.

China I'm guessing you were talking as if China was the largest supplier and the US was largest consumer, but as you can see you are only half right. Yes, China does make up a good part. They aren't the biggest though.

I'm with Satenza on this one, those movies do not have confusing endings. Well, you could argue A Clockwork Orange does, but I didn't think so.

China exports the most goods to Japan, so no, we are not their biggest importer. Only about 15% of the imports in the US come from China. Yes, it is a sizable part, but it's still like the third or fourth biggest importer.

Yeah that was the very last part, and that's when I decided it was an OK episode rather than one of the worse ones.

Why would they want to go to war with the US? We buy all their cheaply made goods.

Started off kind of lame, but overall it was good.

The box part did suck also. Their story line actually gets worse in the online graphic novel, the newest one. I don't know if it's considered in continuity or not though. Hmm, when I think about it, a lot of that episode sucked. Hiro has no reason to stay in the past any longer, and if he can travel through time as he pleases then he should already be back in the present day. Unless there is some crazy thing where if he spends 2 months in 1602 then he can only teleport back to 2 months after he left the present, but no other time travel works like that. Time travel in general kind of makes me mad because there are too many plot holes, be it movies/books/comics.

That's the clip I show people when I want them to watch it. It's awesome. Another part I like is the "feed me a stray cat" ATM.
