  1. Just ignore him. It's actually really fun to tell annoying people they are annoying, I did that to someone in my senior year of high school. Figured I'd never see him again, so what the hey. The last month of school wasn't nearly as awkward as I thought it would be, I wish I would have told more people they were annoying and I didn't like them.

Went through all kinds of that crazy stuff at my middle/high school. Probably happened once or twice a year. It's happening even more now apparently. One semi-dangerous lock down we had was a gas-main explosion. They locked everyone out of the building of course, not in :D . Still, after the initial explosion, it was a burning for quite a while, and you could see it from where we were standing. Like a flamethrower pointed straight up going constantly.
  3. Which thing are you using to download it? BitTorrent doesn't work that well unless you're experienced with it and know how to make it go fast. It took me about 1-2 hours from one of the other ones. I forget which, but I'm pretty sure any should get it done. Quicker than 70 hours at least. He said he had dial-up. You can usually download around 10megs an hour on that, so that's about 175 hours.
  4. Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Die Hard: With a Vengeance, and Live Free or Die Hard - They are all entertaining movies. The first one is easily the best though, it is completely awesome. Second one I would have to say is the worst, and the last two are the middle ones. This was my first watch of LFoDH so I don't know what it will rate after repeated viewings. It did have Mary Elizabeth Winstead in it, and she is hot as hell :P . EDIT: Forgot I watched another series earlier this week :P Blade, Blade II, and Blade: Trinity - Sure they aren't great movies, but I enjoy them. Wesley Snipes plays a pretty good Blade in my opinion. Plus there is a hot vampire chick in the second one (Leonor Varela), and a hot vampire hunter chick in the third one (Jessica Biel). Both are enjoyable to watch  .
  5. Vodak!
  6. So theoretically there is infinite energy in the Omniverse then? I never know what I have to think about the theory of parallel universes... On one side, I find that the underlying idea sounds plausible, but on the other hand I have trouble believing in it all as my conscious mind is only observing / living in one for sure. ;) If there is an infinite amount of universe's, I suppose so. I personally believe there is only one universe. I just knew the prefixes from reading comics with more than one universe :D .
  7. They take a lot from comic books, X-Men in particular, but the virus thing was over the top. It completely is ripping off the Legacy Virus plot. Hopefully they don't end it the same way (Colossus sacrifices himself to spread the cure all over the world)
  8. It's still psuedoscience because it can't be disproven. If it could be disproved, it would be nothing. :P AFAIK, pseudoscience is something similar to science that doesn't follow a scientific method, (i.e. was made up and has no possible proof), like spontaneous generation or something like that. If it CAN be disproven, not is it is disproven. Can is the operative word. It's called falsifiability and is part of the scientific method that you claim to know about.
  9. If anyone comes in here not expecting spoilers, they deserve having it spoiled :D . Obviously we know he could fly, why do you think I mentioned him being a manifestation of Peter and Nano theorizing he was an alien? If the kid couldn't fly we would have just thought he was the new romantic interest for Claire.
  10. I like that one too, actually it's one of my favourites. Does anyone know the physics behind it, I mean is it actually true? Obviously there is no way to spin enough to discernibly change the rotation of the Earth, but does it do anything?
  11. It's still psuedoscience because it can't be disproven.
  12. Omniverse. Uni:1, Multi:>1, Omni:all
  13. There's a certain amount of matter/energy in our universe. A parallel universe wouldn't get it from ours, it would have it's own.
  14. Don't taser me, bro!
  15. I think we had Heroes discussions a lot of the final weeks of the first season. Don't know where everyone is. Although there is a good deal to talk about from this episode, it's almost pointless at this point because we don't know much. Still fun to speculate. Oh and I just remembered to remind everyone to get caught up with the Heroes online graphic novel: http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/novels_library.shtml It's more of a supplement to the show, you don't need to read it. Still it can give you a heads up, I knew about the two new Mexican characters as soon as they showed them because the novel came out two weeks ago.
  16. 90.19 20 miles 173 seconds Started with some mid country ones with absolutely nothing around them.
  17. I've seen a lot of his movies so far. I think 11 or 12. They all had an easily understood ending, except for 2001 like I mentioned earlier.
  18. You've never heard of YouTube before?
  19. Uh? Yeah I didn't understand that either. The only one that would be confusing is 2001, but it's not if you read the book. All the others are straight forward. Make sure you watch the director's cut version, and make sure to read the chapters that come out of the Philosophy of Time Travel. It's all pretty straight forward then. But a very quick explanation: [hide]Majority of the movie takes place in a tangent universe. Donnie has to sacrifice himself to stop the tangent universe from destroying the primary universe.[/hide]
  20. If you are on the same network then it shouldn't matter what computer you use, they should be relatively similar.
  21. I thought it was pretty good. Don't know enough about Peter's situation to really have a good theory going yet, but here is something posted of /tv/: I don't know, I could see another Peter in Nathan's brain, since Peter absorbed Niki/Jessica's abilities. Obviously the first Peter we saw. I think number two is wrong though, it's just a creepy kid.

That's pretty much a given on topics like these. Can add The Fountain to it also. Dune (by Toto) has a pretty epic feeling part to it.
  23. The 28 hour day wins :D .
  24. Not if you read the book :D .
  25. Double posting isn't going to speed things up any. Just makes you look stupid.
