That will damage the shoes, you should tie and untie them every time. I've never had any problems. I've worn shoes like that for a few years until I outgrew them.

I think it was relatively late for me, like 8-10 or something. But I rarely ever tie my shoes anymore, I usually keep them in some perpetual state of being tied and just slip them on and off.

Burger King / The struggle for farmworkers, 1 cent more

And how exactly are products of "other countries" 'dirtier' or of a lesser quality? For one example, even though it's not the most ethical company, McDonald's uses meat from Brazilian farms. They get paid far less than say, an European farmer, but the quality is just the same. Unless there's something about "foreign" countries' soils and animals that I don't know, and is making the vegetables and anything that roams on their land, junk. Many fruits/vegetables can't be shipped long distances at all or suffer significant loss of flavor/texture/etc.. from long shipment. -

I'll just comment on this thing since I think you guys are oversimplifying the issue and I don't have good enough knowledge of economics to comment but saying the quality of produce you get from other countries is equal is simply not true. -

Exactly. If the wages are so poor, why are these people working for BK? It's not like some kind of loyalty system or something? This kind of thing is really common... everywhere. Plenty of big businesses are unkind to their employees, and this is no different. We live in a cruel world, so we should just adapt away from the 'undesirables', since they sure ain't going to listen. Maybe it's because not everyone is qualified to do better jobs and that it's a job that needs to be done by someone? -
Scorehero.com - I would say it's pretty similar to tip.it forums. Elitistjerks.com - Probably one of, if not the strictest forum you will find (people who started EJ were all from SA). By having extremely strict rules they keep the quality of posts there much higher than any forum I've ever come across. Official World of Warcraft Forums - Very little gets locked/deleted. It takes stuff like pages of spam/keyloggers/posting exploits/etc.. to get a topic locked. Egullet.org - There is very little moderation, but due to the kind of people who post there moderation is almost never needed. It also requires a bit more than a regular forum sign up which most likely helps keep everything in line.

Whould you give up your right to vote for an Ipod?
Darksavior69 replied to cryztalwing's topic in Off-Topic
I wouldn't give up anything for an iPod. I would give up my right to vote for an election or possibly even a couple elections for a scholarship; not forever though. I would give up my right to vote forever for a million dollars in a heart beat. I could do a lot more to change my life and other peoples lives with a million dollars than I could with my vote. -
Don't really feel like getting involved in this topic; but I really would like to see some evidence/statistics/etc.. supporting that statement.

Yup and I don't think Rowling deserves it. She's just an author who wrote some popular who a lot of people like. She didn't do some world changing thing or influence a lot of people Yeah, seriously. I can't even fathom how anyone could nominate her. All she did was write some extremely popular books and nothing more. They weren't some huge innovation, they aren't going to change the way things are written from now on; all they're going to be is popular books.

It never made star power last longer.

The wallet only contained $2.10 and some $50 gift certificate. Not even worth keeping.

Could you survive without your computer/television?
Darksavior69 replied to woopidoo2's topic in Off-Topic
Television wouldn't be too much trouble. Not have the internet would suck though; without it getting information about various things would be much more difficult. I could probably do fine as long as I had a good web browser and nothing else. -
Lead's posts and his crazy stories. Also the post Raenond made about how great some Australian cookies (tim tams?) he got were.

So what happened 3600 years ago?

There was some post before about someone getting in trouble at school because of hugging. Could have been a different incident though. Hugging just leads to even more heinous acts like finger pointing.

You would probably be more productive and produce a better report/essay/whatever if you just got sleep and then finished it.
-
Not really, they just won't have the insane profit margins you see with huge corporations.

On through the fire and flames... wth? Scorehero is screwed up because you type in your own score so anyone could lie about anything. I honestly think that score is impossible...Most likely a bunch of BS The score is definitely real. The person who got it is someone who has FCed Institutionalized before and also FCed Misirlou like 6 times. In fact the score still is up there with a screenshot. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y132/i ... 769167.jpg

Can you expand/clarify that? I'm not sure what exactly you mean/intend.

I don't know if it's been fixed/changed but the reason scorpions are (were?) so good is because of the poison stacking mechanics. Stuff like bestial wrath and DPS trinkets would increase the damage done by their poison dot; now this poison can stack up to 5 times, if you use your trinkets/cooldowns/etc.. at the very beginning of a fight your poison will be doing a ton of damage. Due to the mechanics of stacking/refreshing debuff, you can keep this super high damage poison going for the whole fight. I've seen BM hunters doing 600+ DPS with just their pets because of it.

..My age is relevant because? More often than not the people arguing against it are people in middle/high school who are parroting anti-drug propaganda they get shoved down their throat every day. Your opinions will change on a lot of things as you get older.
-
I have a question for all these people arguing against the legalization or marijuana, how old are you?

[rant] I wish Stewart or Colbert would seriously run for president. Anyone who has watched an episode or two of their shows should be able to see they're both extremely bright and quick witted people. All the candidates who ever make it through primaries are just propaganda spewing robots; I want to see some candidates who actually have thoughts of their own and don't just echo some partisan political [cabbage]. If only we didn't have politicians to ruin government. [/rant]
