Runescapes Rarest 99's (as of November 1, 12:01 am)
You get a few more 99s along the way to 99 slay. So it's more like training many skills at a slower rate which adds up to a nice ammount in total.

That FINAL Random Event!
That's why they are called random although they always appear after a certain ammount of xp gained depending on the skill you train. You will get your last event cloth sooner or later. If you would train instead of posting such rants you could already have it. ;)

Top 250 F2P Skill Total List
You're not talking to me but there are many people who can answer your question, too. So e.g. I'm playing for like 2 years actively and I try to stick to one skill and train it straigt to 99 with the fastest (except it's hyper expensive) method. I often only play when I'm watching TV or e.g. I trained strength when I was learning for my exams as it's easily an afk skill. For the money thing I don't waste ingame time to earn money as (solo ofc) merchanting only requires a few minutes per day for a great cash pile (400m bank worth atm). So if you know how to effictively do the most with your ingame time and do some multitasking you'll level fast. btw Working for Burger King? Duh.

Your Perfect RS
Just some things I would like to see from a f2p perspective: 1.) Keep trade restrictions, GE and bounty/pvp worlds but raise the trade limit for old friends a bit. Remove pvp artifacts or find a better solution for inflation. Raise f2p pvp armour usage to 1 hour or increase their drop rate. 2.) Announce manipulation clans as non legitimate. Ban all clan leaders if they keep doing it after one week. 3.) Make a prayer minigame for both f2p and p2p with exp as reward and also prayer cloths as p2p rewards. This could be one enhancement for the so called prayer guild in the monastery. 4.) Let Firemaking enhance weapons so you can do ignite damage (does a few damage hits after the first) - could be p2p only. 5.) Give skillcapes to f2p. Also higher crossbows and bolts would be nice for ranging. 6.) Increase the stock of plain pizzas in npc stores. 7.) ... more I can't currently think of. :D

will jagex fix inflation?
The irony... "well" instead of "good," my friend. I spose this is the case if you trade in pvp rewards. This is a valid arguement. However, if he bought the whip and fury, this would even out. And furthermore, if the person who died bought his stuff back, that's LESS money. Inflation has more to blame for money created from nowhere. The real problem is the creation of coins and not the value of the items. Alching and PvP are currently the main coin creators in the game. But who pks with coins? Nobody! Coins vanish mostly for skills like construction or summoning and other daily purchases in npc stores. But these don't cover the income caused by alching and pvp so more coins are coming into the game than before. That decreases the value of coins so prices of all items go up. Trading with other players or in the GE is irrelevant as the coins only change their owner but don't vanish. @the first guy with the tax idea: If there are taxes on gp only than nobody would want to have gp in first place. So they buy items instead causing prices to go up as nobody would really sell their items for gp. Wow, your method made the prices rise!

will jagex fix inflation?
No, they didn't even realized the price increase by more than 30% on average. How could they easily "fix" inflation? Just revert the pvp statues update.

Ohh mad. so you're going for 99?
Yeah, but most of these people don't have any skillcape and are jealous about them. Those who have a cape know it's just another piece of equipment and know it's not worth the time you've to put into a 99. And btw every pure f2p doesn't care what other people say. ;)
-
Ohh mad. so you're going for 99?
It's not only for the capes. As for example I got 5 99s and I'm currently at 98 strength but I'm pure F2P. I got my first 99 because I liked the skill (FM) and then got 99 cooking because it didn't take much attention or time. I really liked to mage in FoG and to look like a wizard so I felt like going for 99 mage. I always enjoy training skills in RuneScape because it's calming and relaxing. And in the end I like to have reached the maximum level in a skill - it's like in any other game when you finished a seperate part of the game or even the full game. Sometimes I train skills over 99 but there are still many skills left which I can enjoy so I don't do this very often. And I often concentrate on one skill because I like to see my progress in one skill and the climbing xps/lvls and I'm interested in how long it takes me to reach certain lvls or the final 99.

07-Oct-2009 - High-level Herblore Potions
Very sad forum avatars aren't for F2P. They told us we are getting more updates but I think that was a lie, thanks for the false hope. :( The chat effects are currently messed up, every normal message is waved and you can't use colors, duh!

German Twitter: Translation: The RuneScape Update will bring extreme flavours and the imps are almost finished with their colloquium project! - Mod Heiko

I think "flavour" hints to a cooking or herblore update as both skills result in products which could have some extreme flavours. And the imp thing could have something to do with a graphic update of these creatures or a quest involving them or a hunter update. The word "extreme" is mentioned in the english, german and french hint so the word could be something important.

Is 99 firemaking much easier to get now?
Not for everyone. (There are enough games which require the same ammount or even more mouse movements + keyboard keys.) On topic: Willows are still a waste of time and time is money. Some calculations: Willow cost 8 ea and maples 32 ea. You need 144k willows for 99 fm or 96k maples. Thats a cost of 1.15m for willows or 3.07m for maples. If you burn 1200 logs per hour it takes you 120 hours with willows to 99 or 80 hours with maples. So you save 1.92m but need 40 hours more. Thats 48k per hour and I think you can earn more than that per hour. (For 1000 logs per hour speed it's 40k per hour you need to earn.)

New Skillcape - Next year?
I know it's a possibility as others have said and I myself have tinkered with the idea, but don't you think they would release the cape with a new skill? Why? I think players who are already maxed deserve a reward. And it's still a very rare achievement. I think they will release a bunch of new capes (music, max total, max cb, diary...) and updates to the current achievement capes all at once.

I hop, that todays update for runescape won't cause a chaotic ?dwarf riot? I'm guessing that "zwergenaufstand" is a dwarf riot... my German ain't that good. Anyways, it seems we'll bee seeing the dwarf quest today. You're right, "Zwergenaufstand" means dwarf riot.

And everybody said it was a myth when us cw'ers said ip has an effect  Hopefully they can make it work well. Zhang Fee posted a deep view on this subject on the german RSOF. He even posted the best IPs so I wasn't suprised he asked this question. :D
