New TT items/armour - Oh snap
They finally posted the stats on the knowledge base! The melee armor is a bit better than dragon, but does NOT give any strength bonus. http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2918 The Magic robes are the same as infinity, but the amulet isn't worth it. (Items at the bottom of the page) http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2736 The Ranger set has the same range attack as black hide and karils (Except the third age coif, which is actually better than a robin hood hat!) http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runescape/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2919 Edit: Bah, everybody beat me to it....

Third Age Items
It kinda annoys me when people mix RS with LOTR. People always complain about RS "Stealing" things from LOTR. They share similar themes, but just because RS might contain things similar to LOTR doesn't mean RS "Stole" it... On topic: "Third Age" is a time period. Since RS and LOTR are alternate game universes, it's safe to assume RS Third age items refer to the Third age in RS, not in an alternate universe such as LOTR.

worst dreams
Most of my scariest dreams involve me moving lethargically in my most perilous moments. Everything else moves at normal speed though, so it's very aggravating.

Hilarious PM From Jagex - "RuneSpeak"
I never said I didn't notice the references, I said other people don't seem to notice them.

Hilarious PM From Jagex - "RuneSpeak"
Wow. Does everybody have to take things so literally? They're simply trying to add a bit of humor to their reply. Honestly, do you really believe that Jagex thinks we're stupid 3 year olds, or that they're addicted to their own game? Everybody seems to forget that Runescape is a game filled with comedy. The game is filled with jokes and references (Note the word reference, because everybody thinks Jagex "Steals" things from somewhere). Many jokes simply aren't understood because it's mainly British humor. Runescape is a game based around silliness. If you think Jagex is acting childish, well.... sorry to break this to you, Runescape is a childish game.* *Childish in the terms of being silly and satirical, not that it's only for 5 year olds.

List of useless items of Runescape
The forlorn boot can actually be used on Skippy. (The guy from the miniquest) It doesn't really do anything to my knowledge, except cause him to say something along the lines of "Thanks! Now I have 2 boots!"

Do you still have an RSC account?
I have a level 3 RSC account. I logged on 1 week before Jagex cut new users from RSC, simply because I was bored :P

What old updates do you remember the most?
I have a few contenders: 1.) 2004 Christmas update: The first update to actually affect me (I was F2P), not to mention it was my first holiday item. 2.) Recruitment Drive: The first P2P update that affected me from the start. Plus, my old best friend was visiting from Canada, and we solved the chemistry puzzle together without a quest guide. 3.) Essence Update: I had been runecrafting for months to afford a party hat, and it happens that this was the day that I finally bought it. I was low on ess and money, so it heralded a long break from runecrafting for me. Kind of a strange coincidence.

The Rest of Hunter?
Uular: I said 3 years for Construction, 7 months for Hunter :P Eyehawk78: Thanks for reminding me of the caves, I forgot to mention those. There could be entire hunting dungeons that Jagex is hiding from us, full of creatures with useful rewards :D
-
The Rest of Hunter?
By now, we all realize the scarcity of rewards from the new Hunter skill. The furs have limited uses, the different colors of feathers could have more impact on fletching or fishing, and 71 is a low cap for a skill. It just seems a lot more could have come from this new skill. Now, Jagex did whip this skill out compared to construction (3 years vs. 7 months), so I never expected the skill to be that big. The point is, will Jagex expand the skill, and if so, when? How? Of course, the natural response is "Over time, you impatient noob.", but an idea popped into my head while I was toying with my falcon. Could next week's quest see the release of the second half of Hunter? (Or at the very least, a major addition) The new quest will be centered around Eagle's Peak, where we will have to track down some rare ferret (Taken from the Behind the Scenes). Matthias (Or whatever his name is) lives close by, and I have a hunch that birds will play a big part in the new quest. I personally enjoy hunting with the falcon, and would be thrilled if we could own a hunting bird as a "Pet" to help fight off certain creatures. Maybe this new quest would see new bird hunting (And training) on eagle peak, along with some other addition to the skill (I hope). That's just my wishful thinking. Is there anybody who thinks I'm just crazy? Post! :D

Why I love Tip.it
If you were referring to me, I wasn't sucking up, I really do feel that way about Tip.It But yeah, this thread IS kinda spammy :-k

Why I love Tip.it
I've been a member of this forum for roughly a year and a half, and I've only started to post now. Tip.It outshines other Runescape fansites in magnitudes which cannot be expressed. This is the only place one can have a mature discussion about Runescape, among a large yet tightly knit group of friends. Comrades, if you will. If it weren't for this site, there would be no sign of intelligence in the game whatsoever, and it wouldn't be worth playing at all. Tip.It: Defenders of Runescape!

Bones to Peaches
Could you be a bit more specific, please? I really don't do slayer that much, but I'd like to know how much it helps with assignments and training.

Bones to Peaches
Well, I've been been messing around in the mage training arena a bit when I get bored, and I'm starting to accumulate a nice amount of points. My question is, should I get the bones to peaches spell, or should I save up and get an infinity bottom for some extra cash? Or, should I do something completely different with the points? I have full infinity except the gloves (Never saw a need for them, because the RFD ones are better). I don't have a mage book or any type of wand (I'll probably just buy a mage book, because it costs less than the infinity bottom, but requires more points). I'm level 59 slayer, and I haven't really found myself thinking "Man, I wish I had that bones to peaches spell...", but I don't know if I will in the near future. Basically, I'd like to know if Bones to Peaches are all that useful for slayer, OR future training in the graveyard arena.

Balloon Travel: A Revolution in Law Crafting?
The abyss probably still is the fastest, but for people who have lower defence and can't handle abyss runs with no armor will probably be better off with other methods.

Balloon Travel: A Revolution in Law Crafting?
So, after completing Enlightened journey, and unlocking every route save Gnome Stronghold (I really enjoyed the quest, from the puzzles to the new clothes, to the new method of travel), it didn't take long for me to see the newest available method for crafting laws. I'm sure many others have noticed, and I know there's a topic on the official forums, but I have decided to discuss it here anyway. Here's the new method, for clarification: Required Equipment: 1 normal log, ring of dueling, normal law crafting equipment (Tiara/Talisman, pouches, ess :P ), and no armor (Regular Entrana rules apply) 1.) Start at the Castle Wars bank chest 2.) Leave Castle Wars with your equipment, and head north roughly one screen length. 3.) Take the Balloon to Entrana. This will take One normal log. You will arrive on Entrana a bit northwest of the docks. 4.) Scurry on over to the altar, craft your laws, and take the ring of dueling back to Castle Wars. 5.) Repeat :D Of course, this was obvious to many of you. However, I'd like to discuss the pros and cons of this new method Vs. The old methods. Pros: -Faster (Theoretically. It's a shorter walk from CW to the balloon than from Draynor to the ship, and the travel cutscene is much shorter for the ballon than the ship. Also, the Ballon arrival in Entrana isn't too far from the ship) That's actually all I can really think of for now. Tell me if I forgot anything. Cons: - Rings of Dueling aren't rechargeable, and slowly deplete (Shouldn't be a problem if you have a lot of them. If you don't however....) -Requires normal logs, which either take up valueable bank space, or are tedious to collect each run. -One less essence per trip (Due to the normal log) The main hassle I see is the number of rings of dueling used. However, since I have a TON of emeralds, I think this may be my method of choice for law crafting from now on. Do you think this new method will replace the traditional methods? Discuss.

It saddens me that Runescape Holidays anticipated as get rich quick schemes... Read the Update news on the Runescape Homepage. Also, the knowledge base can be your friend.

Rough/strict Parents?
Though that's borderlining racism, I have to agree. I have seen a trend in my asian friends, where most (Not all) say that their parents will beat them for anything less than a 97% in all classes. These kids are far from losers though, they are usually the top of my classes, and are involved in multiple extracurricular activities. Now, about the "You'll thank your parents later" saying. I usually agree with the statement, especially if the child is slacking off. However, if the child is excelling in all aspects of life, and the parents are still beating down on them, that's a major problem. Pushing somebody beyond their own limit is healthy, and builds up a person's stamina, but pushing somebody beyond possible standards (into the impossible) is unhealthy, and can only lead to imminent failure, stress, low self esteem, depression, and similar effects. Sadly, these parents are hard to reconcile with, because of their strong beliefs. I really wouldn't know how to make them stop, but if I were you, I would at least voice my opinion and remind them that you're the top of the system, and ask them why they treat you like you're some sort of failure.

New Updates Are Causing Lag? :(
Updates? Where?! *Looks around frantically* Seriously, how can you blame lag on updates when there hasn't been a major one for two weeks? If subtle, behind the scenes tweaks and bugfixes are causing lag, then I doubt your computer could handle a regular sized update.

What items that you own are you most proud of?
My full void knight outfit. The feeling of being one of the insane people to "waste" points like that, and have people rub it in your face constantly is.... unique. I'm unique! Go me! Also, my purple party hat, which, if my friends didn't pitch in 40 mil for me, I wouldn't have today. Now, after I've paid them all back, and am 80 million richer from the appreciation of value, the friends that donated are either against each other now, or have quit. I will never sell the hat, because it's a reminder of the unity we had back then, and still eminates with a dormant power to unify my friends again. (Translation: Though my friends are against each other now, I'm still friends with each of them, and may call them back at some point to unit under the symbol of the party hat) That's some powerful stuff right there.
