Real world trading news 4/6/2007
I still don't see how the "Player X" and "Player Y" proves anything. all Jagex has to do is make up the levels and the game time, and say "Look, we aren't afraid to ban high levels" to scare people. What I'd like to see is some kind of incriminating screenshot of a record of trades or something. What they're giving us is just text which could easily be fabricated.

Runescape: Paper Dolls For The 21st Century
I'm sorry, but I can't help but notice that the example for a paper doll appears to be female, yet is wearing no top....

Regretting RuneScape?
I have no regrets for playing Runescape. I SUPPOSE I could have spent the time I "Wasted" on Runescape pondering theoretical physics or planting trees to make my neighborhood look nicer or something, but I'm betting that if I didn't play Runescape, I wouldn't have done those things anyway. Oddly enough, for reasons which are too intricate to explain, Runescape actually helped my social life, and hasn't yet negatively impacted my grades (I get all A's, with the occaisional B from IMPOSSIBLE teachers). In addition, Runescape helps to relieve my stress on certain days. The bottom line is, Runescape has done nothing to hurt my life, and being honest with myself, I probably wouldn't have used my game time for anything more productive anyway.

Your Account One Year Ago?
AT this time last year, I had just purchased a purple party hat for 80 mil, and was working to pay 40 mil back to my friends who loaned the money to me. When construction came out, I was sad because I didn't have the funds to level it at the time. Now, I'm out of debt, have high construction, party hats are up to 140 mil, I'm almost 99 magic, and life is good. 8-) However, all those friends I paid back have quit... :(

The Legend of Zelda
You have the CD-I Legend of Zelda Games? Those ones aren't considered canon to the series. However, the horrible quality of the cutscenes is hilarious! :P

Anyone get this??
There was once a two week period where I'd look at the clock every day/night, and it would read 9:11 at least once every day. It kinda freaked me out...

Words You Just HATE.
I can't stand when swear words are used in excess. I don't particularly care for them anyway, but I don't mind hearing them every once in a while. When every other sentence contains profanity, my brain just starts to melt.

~Delete Alchemy Spells - Save RS~
If the alchemy spells were to be deleted, it would block the flow of liquid capital into the game. Products such as logs, ore, fish, food, runes, barrow items, dragon items, slayer and drops, dragon hides and bones would continue to be produced, but there wouldn't be enough cold hard cash to balance it out, and prices would deflate like crazy. Not only would this kill rares (Which are important to the game economy), but it would render the products listed above worthless. Refining skills such as smithing and fletching would have less appeal, and people who were already rish before the removal of the spells would now dominate the terribly deflated markets. Alchemy is not going to kill Runescape. However, your idea will.

<<< One Simple Potato >>>
I find it funny that everybody who does this (Either here or the official forums), acts like they are the first person in Runescape to attempt this.

What would you say to your level 3 self?
This will sound completely backwards to everybody. "When you start feeling like buying a party hat, DON'T!!! Buy all the rune essence you can instead!!!"

The closest ____ to bank list.
You have a few mistakes on here. I'll post the real ones: Closest iron mine to bank: Yannille Range (less chance of burning): Nardah Clay oven (Actually, I'm not 100% sure on this one. I think they might be equal) Tree Patch: Gnome Stronghold (Right next to the Yew trees)

Bomb Threats
Something similar happened at my school, but with less severity. After other schools in our district found the same message, "There will be a shooting on *Day* at 3:00" in the boy's restrooms, somebody finally wrote the exact same message in our restroom, this time during AP test week. There are a couple of reasons this shouldn't be taken seriously: 1.) People have written worse things on the walls of the boy's restrooms. I've seen rascist remarks and crude drawings more serious than this shooting message. 2.) The fact that the EXACT same message started appearing in restrooms at every school RIGHT AFTER the VT shootings. I mean come on, this is obviously a lame joke/cry for attention which is confirmed by the sheer absurdity of the situation explained in reason # 3. 3.) What gunman seriously contemplating a shooting announces the EXACT TIME they're going to commit it? I know these gunman usually want attention, but they get plenty of that during the actual shooting. When a message like this is scrawled on the bathroom walls, it's still anymous, and it decreases the shooting's chances for success. What ticks me off even more is the fact the school took this seriously enough to annoy us for the rest of the year, but not seriously enough to actually prevent anything. All they did was make us sign something every time we do anything, including leaving the class, going to the bathroom (They have staff outside every door now), entering the library, or going off campus. It makes things tedious, and it wouldn't stop anybody from pulling a gun on them right then and there, and actually following through with the threat. A teacher armed with a piece of paper and a pen won't do anything except slow the campus life down. Why is it that schools always take the wrong things seriously, and usually miss what's really going on? Over my entire school career, I've noted that 90% of the time, the innocent are punished while the guilty generally get a slap on the hand.

Taking 3 Items from RS to Real Life!
When something is gilded, it means that it's gold plated on the outside, made with cheap material on the inside. :? Anyway, I'd probably take a ghostly hood, a ghostly robe top, and ghostly robe bottoms for the invisiblity pranks in real life. However, if I had these items, I would take... -A Fire Cape for showing off -A Ring of Stone for more practical jokes - A Spirit seed, so I could plant it, and use the spirit tree as an interdimensional door between Runescape and the real world, so I could bring the rest of my items to real life :P

Umm stupid question
You don't understand. They are considered to be the one of the toughest boss monsters in the game. People usually fight them in groups of 5 or even more, not to mention that you need at least 3 people just to get down there. Also, judging by your stats, I doubt you'd last too long down there. The three monsters can each hit 30+, and they all use all three types of attacks at once, meaning you can't just pray and be comepletely safe.

Last quest for the quest cape?
Swan song, which was pretty cool, since it involves the Wise old Man who gives you the cape.

Theres just no justice
Why isn't the common person/soldier on TV as much? Answer: There's so many of them! Seriously, do you think that television networks can give equal recognition to everybody in our society? There are only 86,400 seconds in a day. That's an entire 24 hour period, mind you. There are millions of hard working citizens and soldiers out there. How do you expect to give a fair amount of recognition to everybody? It would take days of different random people making appearances to get through everybody. Does that make for good entertainment? I for one do not need to know about every single person's daily life. It would get extremely boring after a while. "Please give a warm welcome to.... Average Joe # 580,291!" Not to mention that if everybody were equally featured on television, it wouldn't be special anymore. That little box you gather around in front of will have lost its magic, because everybody will have been on it at some point. Basically, the idea of everybody being on TV would defeat itself, because instead of giving special recognition to everybody, it would cause an appearance on TV to become as special as jury duty. In other words: Not very. For now, you'll just have to live with the fact that certain people are on TV more than others. There are simply some frontiers where equality is virtually impossible.

new lunar spells?
Uh, there already is a moonclan teleport AND group teleport. Anyway, this might be a stretch, but maybe they'll release a self healing spell! However, it would take at least a minute to recharge, just like the vengeance spells. However, more skilling spells are always nice!

Archaeology Skill?
That is interedting, especially the whole "Our Quest in May" thing. Also, it never specifically says the museum update will be a quest.... I guess we'll just have to wait to find out! On a completely unrelated topic: Wasn't construction slyly hinted at in the behind the scenes last May?

Why doesn't anyone ever play with private chat on?
When I turn my private chat on, I get messages from people I don't know. They're always like "Hey, remember me?" They couldn't have just seen me, because they always message me from different worlds :? I guess I leave it to friends, because too many people add me to their lists after I interact with them. (I help people A LOT)

A few things about RuneScape...(A long read)
I agree with Rebdragon. Jagex only has that 13+ clause so they can dodge possible lawsuits in the future. However, they are perfectly aware that the main demographic in the game is under 13. Hence the decreasing difficulty and increasing stupidity of the new content.

24 April 2007 - Another Slice of H.A.M.
I don't know why everybody keeps saying "I was really hoping for bracelets" Generally, Jagex lists the updates in order in the behind the scenes, and the jewelery update was after the H.A.M. quest. It should have been common knowledge that the jewelery update would be the final update of the month.
