we should appreciate
Many people seem to argue that Jagex "Preschooled it up" or "is insulting them by saying they can't read" They're just just pictures! I have no idea why everybody is so up in arms after Jagex simply changes a few pictures! The new cartoon style is a bit more fun to look at, to be honest, and just because some words have been replaced by pictures doesn't mean we're dumb. I'm pretty sure that a while from now, people will actually remember options through the pictures. Furthermore, who plays runescape with their emote screen or options menu up the whole time? Granted, some things might need to be tweaked, like the admittedly creepy looking smiley faces, but I'm certain Jagex will do something with all the feedback they've been recieving. Things you may not have thought of: The new equipent screen makes it easier to compare stats of items. Just bring up the page where you see your rotating character, and you can equip and unequip items without having to switch back and forth between the inventory and equipment menus. WHile you do that, you can actually watch every stat at once increase or decrease, instead of just 2/3. The new orange text, though many claim that it strains their eyes, is less intense than yellow on the color spectrum. All it will take is a little getting used to with orange text. (For practice, read Spooferfish's post history :P )

Yet Another way of Money Drain By Jagex
For anybody who is blaming High Alching and PC reward money for lowering prices.... Supply and demand is not only limited to items, it pertains to currency as well. Think, the more money that flows into the economy, the LESS it is worth. If Gold pieces are worth LESS, then you would need to pay MORE gold for any given item. However, if a ton of money is drained from the economy, less currency = HIGHER value. The higher value of money means that less money is needed to pay for certain items. The two main factors of the recent price slashings are: 1.) Money drained from the economy (From construction, and possibly people cancelling membership for the school year) 2.) Increased supply of Barrow items and whips (As Barrowing gets easier and more efficient, and people reach the higher levels, the flow of these items increases) If we want prices to rise, we need MORE MONEY (Not items) in the economy, and less high value items such as Barrows and Whips. I'm predicting that the supply of these items will become so high in the near future, that they will be rendered virtually worthless until more pure currency floods back in to balance prices. Once Barrows and whips become worthless, I suspect players will begin to reluctantly return to skilling, which will bring in GP needed to balance the economy. Of course, this is all subject to change if Jagex decides to release a revolutionary update.

What items do you find cool?
My favorite non expensive item is the void knight mace. Not many people have it, it allows me to autocast the claws of Guthix (Out-maging other god spell users), and works moderately well as a last ditch melee weapon. The fact that I follow guthix makes it all the better! :D I recently got full void knght (Minus gloves), and now, I enjoy walking around and having people following screaming, "OMG why u waste PC points??!?!?!?"

More uses for the Family Crest gauntlets
Hey, how about instead of upgrading the quest to helping 22 sons (which would be totally unfairfor people who haven't done it yet, and have too broad a reward), I think this suggestion would be better if it were a sequel quest, opening only three new kinds of gauntlets. My version of the quest would be something like: The three sons each want to take a woman as their bride, and each bride specializes in a certain skill, like the three sons. The problem is, each bride has a certain way to be won over, involving the skill that relates to the bride. Each son, who know little about any trades other than their own, asks you to help them complete these tasks involving the certain skills. Upon completion of the quest, you will be able to ask the new wives to enchant the gauntlets with the power of their skill. The question remains though.... What three skills and bonuses would be most reasonable?

Ever been betrayed in Runescape before?
I don't think I've ever been betrayed.... I've let multiple good friends from real life and from the internet wear my santa hat, and later on, my party hat, and nobody has ever stolen them. Of course, I'm not gullible. When I consider loaning my rare to a friend, I always think about whether or not I really trust them, and what the consequences could be. Of course, since it's really only "Pixels" we're talking about here :P ....

Runescape music
It's just a blend of synthesized sounds, as simple as that. I'm pretty sure I've played some other games run on java that has music similar to Runescape. (Mystery of Time and Space is the one that pops off the top of my head) If you listen carefully, you can hear some of the sound effects Runescape uses in its music.

Invasion of the spartans! ==OVER== Post aftermath thoughts
I agree that skirts should be a part of the uniform. Back then, all the tough warriors wore skirts... are you guys going to be sissy and wear a pair of some lame platelegs? :P

Drop Rate And Fate
I'm not really sure what to say to this.... pretty much like everybody else. I guess the drops are predetermined, but still, from our normal standpoint in time while playing RS, we don't know our future drops. And since Jagex couldn't possibly have to time to program all of our drops, I'll still think of it as random.

Ummm... Woman help :anxious:
Why are they too young? I'll tell you why.... At 10 years old, they're both in elementary school. They both have to go through Middle School AND High school still.... Those 7 years usually mark the period of your life when you change the most. Not only physically, but with your beliefs, hobbies, and intellect. If they got together now, chances are that they would drift apart within a few years, adding more turbulance to the already most difficult period in your life. Relationships shouldn't be treated like a game. I've seen what love can do to people, and let me tell you, when there's a break up, there's devastation, especially after an extended period of going steady. Adding this dangerous game to high school and middle school can seriously injure your chances of success in life. They have at least 50 good years ahead of themselves, why rush things and spoil them now, when they can take it slow and make the right decision when the time comes?

Who actually has one...
I have a purple, and if it weren't for my obsession over black mages, it would be in my sig :P I used to have 2 santas, but I Sold one right when they dropped after Christmas (I was a nervous economy newb), and sold my other when I bought my purple. I wish I Didn't sell that first Santa... (I'm still an economy noob to this day)

how is abyss faster?
You have to teleport back. A few effective methods include: Glory amulet: Just wear a glory amulet while you runecraft, and teleport back every load (Requires a lot of Glories) Glory Amulet + Ring of Dueling: To not risk losing your glory amulet to the pkers, wear only a ring of dueling instead, use it to teleport to castle wars after each load, and grab a glory from the bank to teleport. House teleport: (Requires a quest hall with a mounted glory amulet): just bring the runes for a house teleport, tele after your load, and use the glory amulet on the wall. The amulet will never run out of charges. Ancient magic: bring the runes required for the edgeville dungeon teleport (2 laws, one air, and one fire, forgot the name of the teleport), and teleport there after each load. This isn't as effective as the house teleport, because it uses 2 laws instead of one. I hope this helped, and Happy Crafting!

I have forseen the update o.O
^^ Free post count Pl0x? \ I think I've only had one dream about RuneScape.... It was kind of odd because it looked like I was looking at myself in third person in real life.... Without getting into details, in the dream I lost my (Almost) full infinity and my purple party hat, which I had actually acquired a week earlier. When I woke up I thought the dream was real and actually went through half of my day believing I had lost it. Strangely enough, I was calm about it... So I guess I really don't play RuneScape too much!

Do you talk about runescape in real life?
I normally don't, mainly because most of my friends don't like the game. However, every once in a while, I'll meet somebody at my school who plays a bit, and we'll have a small conversation about it. It does feel a bit awkward saying RuneScape terms in real life... you think about them every day, but they sound so weird when you actually say them aloud...

The new plank and teak/mahogany locations
Anybody who has completed Legends have access to relatively undisturbed teak and mohogany in the Khazari Jungle. (Just bring a machete) Teak: Starting from the entrance to Shilo Village, go through the first dense forest area you see, go a little south east, and you're there. (There are also three trees by the holy water spring) Mohogany: The most south-eastern part of Khazari Jungle I'm pretty sure there are more trees, but these are the closest to the bank.

attack of the hans!
I guess Jagex has a new autoer-fighting program... Andrew: "Hey, why not fight autoers with autoers?!" *Creates a huge autoer army* Paul: "Only begun, the auto wars has..."

A sad statement about RuneScape
Actually, the game is driven by money and rares. If money wasn't a factor in RS, nobody would really play it, because to be honest, pointing and clicking isn't that fun.

i just got full sara! w00t

is 85 mining really worth it?
I'm P2P, and I just got 85 mining yesterday. I knew it wouldn't be a big money maker, I wanted it more for a status symbol. Even though I can make a constant 300k+ an hour by making nature runes, it gets very boring. Rune mining has a certain thrill, and can bring in the same amount of cash IF you are lucky/skilled enough.

What would you do if RS was real?
Are you sure about that?

Surround spells
That's 8 spells...
