  1. these randoms are great. There should be a photo gallery sticky for these. laughed so hard when i saw these.
  2. Well until i saw the other posts, I would have put monkey madness down. It took me a long time, especially as I tried not to use a guide, and promptly died losing a lot of stuff in the process. However, I think that Rat Catchers and Sheep herder have to rate equally with that. It's not that dying was a problem, it was just the sheer time taken and frustration as you are caught again, or your sheep runs back again. *shudders with the memory* Another annoying quest I found was Eadgar's Ruse at the end trying to get past the troll guards.
  3. Great topic btw. I like what you have done. one more for you: 13153360 5512400 gives: 0.4191 or 41.91% thought that it would be lower actually. Always thought of myself as a bit of a skiller, but doing barrows recently has pushed my cmb up a lot. :-(
  4. A really enjoyable article. It summed up some of the main problems nicely; in particular the recognition of fansites only when it is convenient to them, and the seemingly biased banning of names. I'm just glad im the only one who plays in my house, otherwise i'd be worried about being banned.
  5. I agree with you. Do you have any suggestions? My problem is that it is mind numbingly boring, really wasteful of laws and not at all interesting. I am only doing it to get bones to peaches spell. I would carry on doing mage training after getting the spell were it not for this game. Here are some suggestions as to how it could be improved: 1) make the statue move faster 2) allow character movement while the statue is moving 3) give better xp/points 4) more variation of puzzle 5) puzzles that require 4-10 moves, not 7-10 (so saves laws) other than that I dont really think that there is much you can do with it. I think that it would be more fun if the games were completely different. For example, there could be several moving platforms with piles of coins on. You have to grab as many coins as possible, exchanging coins for xp. Would certainly be more interesting.
  6. interesting post. Is this really a discussion or more of a rant about the RS economy? Anyhow, in repsonse, I agree with the above poster. 65k is very low for a glory. I think I have a bargain when I buy one for 85k. I think that 85-90k is about the going price now, although I have spent 100k on several occasions on glories.
  7. interesting idea. Not sure it is really practical, for the reasons mentioned above. However, if you wanted to mofidy your idea, try having 1 rare, such as a shadow helm (which would give your +15 def bonus) meaning that you could keep your drag shield equipped when engaging. Also, you could assign a slayer level to the monster such that not everyone will be able to have access to the rare items on offer.
  8. I love mage training. I am going for bones to peaches at the moment. Once I get that, the graveyard game should be a doddle. The problem I have is that the bananas dont heal enough quickly enough. I have to head to duel arena to heal once in a while. I love the enchanting and alchemy rooms. Great xp, lots of variation and generally good fun. Can't say the same for telekinetic theatre though. It takes ages for the thing to move. You cannot move until it has stopped. I lose lots of energy running to the next point to cast the spell. I generally find it really tedious. After I have completed 10 games I just want to do something else.
  9. 156 i think. I love doing quests, but I tend to do just one or two a week.
  10. fletching 70 agility 67 slayer 63 thieving 59 herblore 59 farming 58 runecrafting 58 (not solely a members skilll though)

yeah i got that too. I stated off in ardy, thinking that I could buy some more vials after the update. Did several runs to the shop, and suddenly restarted back in the bank with the same stuff back in my inv as when i first logged on. I guessed that it was due to the server update too. Was jsut glad that I didnt get a dragon drop or something, then find that I had lost it again after the update!!!!!
  12. Hmm. This is a great thread. Really enjoyed reading these. - Someone mentioned a team fight cave idea I think. I'd love this. There were some custom maps on Warcraft 3 online which were like this. In those, there were two teams, and whoever survived the longest after fighting waves of monsters won. - Less annoying randoms. No evil chicken, annoying cat, sandwich lady etc etc. Things like the genie, mom, dwarf are fine as they are quick to talk to and dont kill you or tele you when you are in the middle of combat (i'm looking at you sandwich lady). Anything that takes significant time is a bad thing. Mime and maze are tolerable as they give decent rewards. - I think one of the other ideas posted already was the ability to throw rotton tomatoes at people. Like the chicken, they would do minimal damage, but would be fun for noobs. You could combine it with adding someone to your ignore list: fr33 st00f pl0x "you have been tomatoed and ignored" ----- blissful silence------- might even lead to begging bans....... :D
  13. Please no. I agree with the other comment on here. Imagine setting free: fr33 st00f pl0x? so spammers only had to type 5 characters to message their 'oh-so-hilarious 1337'. The idea is fine, the practicality is not.
  14. I agree. I think that it would be a nice little shortcut. The counter argument is that it is not shaving off enough seconds to make it worthwhile having one in. I also think that the agility level should be around 50ish, so law runners will not benefit too much unless they have spent a while on agil.
  15. I had the sandwich lady while killing shades. I I killed the shade i was on, talked to her, and another shade attacked me. So i got teleported to ice mountain. Grr. However, the evil chicken has got to be the worst random as it always sees to turn up when i am short of health and have run out of prayer. I was killing abarrant specters, and had already used up all my prayer and food. I decided to tele in the middle of the fight as I was getting owned. So an evil chicken turns up and almost kills me. I tele again with 1hp left and just make it to camelot. I always dread getting the evil chicken in the agility arena. I dont wear any armour as I was to be light, i am sometimes down to 3 health to reduce the amount of damage i get from each obstacle, so i am really vulnerable to an EC attack. Fortunately i havent had one yet, but the thought of losing 100 ticks worries me!
  16. is it in capital letters? If so, then it is an anagram. The only thing that I could think of would be 'recruiter', which may refer to one of the people in the Wanted! quest or something similar? sheild of arrav people maybe? hope that I have given you something to go on anyway
  17. Well I dont know for sure, but it seems that Miscellania is the "land of many unimportant things" and when you cross the bridge to etceteria, there is a triple fork in the road leading in different directions (choice of paths). try digging around there?
  18. That does seem pretty obscure. I wonder if you might have better luck trying crates in an archery store or at the ranger guild?
  19. Bolkoy in tree gnome village. He's up the ladder once you get to the centre.

edmond is the dude you chat to to start plague city. Try talking to him.
  21. have you tried digging anywhere in the mining camp in the desert? I know that it seems a bit vague, but the clue is not that specific. there is also a mining site further south (north of sophanhem) which might be worth digging near.
  22. its brundj (sp?) - the chieftan in relekka If you are stuck on more clues, the main thread is on the general P2P thread (updates updates etc). Lots of people are posting their clues there at the moment.
  23. rft replied to Garr's topic in Help and Advice
its Cap'n Izzy No-Beard (the dude that runs the agility course in Brimhaven) apparently you have to speak to his parrot, and he'll give you a challenge scroll. This has been discussed in the main thread in General P2P (updates updates etc). See that for more details
  24. i think that it is just right the way it is. when fishing or wc, I just 'examine logs' or something, jus to remind the server that I am not afk. This seems to work well for me, and gives me time to surf websites briefly while doing these skills. Being able to change the amount of time you can log for is going to just help the autoers so im not for that. Someone also posted about logging while wc on world 1 and that it is really hard to get into. It really bugs me that worlds 1 and 2 are hard to get into cos there are people doing skilling like wc which can be done on any server. (this is probably where someone corrects me on faster respawn rates on busier servers)
