I do a lot of soloing mediums and at the moment I have berseker at tier 7 and that's it. I was wondering what people would recommend I spend tokens on? A few bosses need ranging so I was thinking of getting sniper or desperado...not sure really. Is there a recommended list of things to focus on upgrading? cheers, Joe.

When you find out how to smuggle cross bows into DUNGEONEERING this answer may become borderline valid. Ah i didn't read the thread title, my apologies. EDIT: If the boss monster is already weak to ranged then i would go for shortbow as the longbow added accuracy wouldn't come into much use over the speed of the shortbow. Haha no probs. I suppose the bosses I'm thinking of is the skeletal horde, runebound behemoth and Night Ghazer khighorahk. There's probably others but that's what comes to mind as needed range at times.

Just wondering when facing a boss which is weak to range, is the much higher ranged bonus of a longbow better, or the extra speed of a shortbow? Cheers, Joe.

Just wondering if the tier of item dropped by a boss is limited to whether you can use it, floor size etc? Reason I ask is I'm just soloing a little atm and I beat Bal'lak three times in a row, all three times he dropped a katagon warhammer. Now I can wield better then katagon and so is there a reason he's dropped it three times or just chance? I'd like a boss to drop me some prom equipment :P cheers, Joe.

Just wondering which (small or medium dungeons) is better for max xp when soloing? I've heard some say if you're efficient and get meds to 20 min or below then they can be better xp then smalls but I'm not sure.. any opinions would be great, cheers. :smile:

Hmm based on constant membership..ok for me since I just have the one account and I have it on direct debit. Bit of a shame they don't take into account previous membership though as I've been a member for most of the past 7 years on the same account. I imagine these auras will have a very minor effect, I wonder if maybe they WON'T be allowed in PVP situations...

Just wondering what folks would recommend?I have the highest level arrows I can use bound atm, gorgonite. But I could destroy those and have the runes for surge spells bound.. not sure which to choose.

Me typing SGS wrong :P. I have the whole bandos, fury, berserker, ss, zspear etc(not a brackish blade, I'll get that). As for herblore I am doing it currently as I have a few thousand herbs to make into potions and I'm trying to get the herb xp as I farm, since I only buy seconds I make profit so don't need money to invest into it as much. I usually do 3-4 herb runs a day sometimes more so I'm going down that route really, slow and steady, 74 herb atm.

Right here is the situation. I am aiming to get 99 farming and doing it via tree seeds mainly, so a good chunk of money is going into that, though some regained from herbs, though I buy seconds and make pots, hoping to get a lot of herb xp on the way to 99 farm. But then I have about 50m which I'm pondering over how to spend. I have a few ideas but the real issue is should I go for xp or items? I'm thinking at the moment of... 1) I do slayer a lot, so maybe a Sara godsword would be a good buy? Would leave me with money left too, in fact possibly I could get dragon claws and GSS? 2) Relating to slayer, a fair few tasks have a magic based attack, so maybe get a spectral shield? 2) I use the money to level other buyable skills. Say getting crafting from 62 up to 80, smithing up(though I may go for lower mining xp and mine ore for it), summoning up(missed double xp weekend sadly).

Ok so I read a guide about dropping items faster using mousekeys. I seem to have almost got it, I start the top left item and do Ctrl 5,2,5 and that drops the item and then I repeat the process. However the distance the cursor goes down when I do ctrl+2 means that the first three items work ok but the fourth one down doesn't because the cursor is in between the two items. I can't adjust the top speed slider because if I go one higher or one lower then it doesn't go down to the second option "drop" from a right click. I don't get how to sort it out because guides don't seem to discuss this as a possible problem.

Well the good news is that as long as your recovery questions are totally secure and unguessable - even by family/friends - you have nothing to worry about. People can submit requests all they like and still shouldn't be able to gain access to your account. I'm not sure... I stopped playing for a very long time and forgot my password. I also forgot the recovery question. Now I did guess the answer as to what I'd normally put, but I don't usually select the question it presented me with so i wasn't sure. In the comments box I simply stated my position and that some details like date of account creation and stuff had been forgotten but I knew the first event I'd gotten an item from and such like. I got my password back within a minute so...not sure if I was lucky or what, very thankful either way. I actually fell for this email, seriously facepalm. It's just that it said www.runescape.com/(the rest of it) and the site seemed totally legit. I logged in via it's link and just had a look and my old offences were there and not the new one it claimed. I quickly realised and changed my pass the second afterwards on my proper bookmark. I had another one in my junk which said www.runescupe.com or something(a letter was wrong or an extra one added) so that was clearly a scam, but the first one wasn't in my junk folder and I wasn't concentrating.

surely it's not going to get too much of a buff? I mean this is a dragon stone ring in the end, dragon stones are hardly uncommon...

With the price of swordfish having crashed I imagine fish isn't a viable thing to make them gather. I did have full herbs half fish, but I imagine there's a better option now... any advice folks? :thumbsup:

ok cheers buddy. Well yeah big downturn the last two weeks for some items, some haven't changed and some seem very erratic. Karils top was near 7m, crashed down to like half the price, now shot back up to 7m. Think I'll sell now, should be a nice 50m or so. :thumbsup: . Any idea on rune prices, I assume deflation too? I mean chaos are worthless, I have 70k of those. 42k deaths, 22.3k bloods and 19k racks.

Right I set myself the task of 1000 chests and I'm at chest 635! Go me... :thumbsup: . However this is slow going as I started mid September and the time I can spend playing is even lower right now. So far I have 37 barrows items, quite a bit of money there but I was wondering what will happen to barrows item prices in the next couple of months? Many pieces seemed to crash in the last two weeks but are now recovering(karils top for example). I'm not sure if the free trade and wildy update will cause prices to go down or rise or be pretty much unaffected. I haven't sold any items so far and wanted to wait until I'd done 1k chests but if their value will decrease a lot in say 2-3 months time I'll sell what I have so far now. any advice folks? cheers, Joe.

Hmm I doubt many of the high level accounts (130+) are people under say 14-15. All the folks on my CC are 15+, mostly 17-20, but I've talked to loads of people who are much older. 19 myself. :thumbsup:

Hey folks. I'm new to this skill, I'm level 14 but only from ToG. I've done a few floors, the highest I can do is floor 6. I have been told to go solo until level 50 or so then find a team, all the items and rules are quite overwhelming! So firstly do get xp do I just do the highest floor and complexity I can over and over? Secondly It seems you can invest tokens into your ring to boost a "class" of your choice. Should I decide what I want to be say Melee "tank", Ranger "sniper" etc right now and invest tokens into this, or leave it? any advice and general tips would be great, cheers, Joe.

read through most of this, good stuff. 200M in ALL skills.....wow. I've had my account since spring 04, not even got me a 99! Let alone 200M, 88 is 13M roughly? So like over 15 times the xp to get to 99...and I thought trying to get to 99 was tough enough! The grinding and repetitiveness must be horrible surely? I suppose everyone is different in that regard, I just can't do the same task for weeks and weeks. Hell a day of the same thing unless it's varied like slayer/barrows etc is a bit much. I'm also rather inefficient tbh, chatting, forgetting to click etc. My other issue is I just sort of drift in and out of playing RS, play for a few months, stop for 6 months, not because I don't like the game or totally tire of it. I just drift away slowly then randomly months later I'll think, as in example this year, I logged in during April for a bit, but mostly this year hasn't seen much play time, but a few weeks ago I'm all "oh yeah Runescape, it's been nearly a year! Bet a ton has changed, might just get back into it." I'll get 99 slayer one day...ONE DAY! :grin: (I remember saying that two years ago....wonder how much progress I've made...) But you know what, I have my yoyo from Santa in 04! It's mine, I can do tricks with it. In the end, isn't THAT what matters? Hiya folks. Not played for a fair while and I thought I'd have a go at my old favourite activity, Barrowing! However methods may have changed so I thought I'd ask what the best option is for me. I go for a balance between speed and cost, so not the priciest method, but not the most economical. I prefer methods which mean I can stay pretty much indefinitely, usually that involves me healing with guthans in the tunnels. My stats are: 89 att 87 str 88 def 93 hp 89 magic 87 ranged 76 prayer I used to use the sally. I was never sure if my stats were quite enough to use a melee based method like veracs, though I melee karil and ahrim with dds spec and whip. any advice would be great.

the new sounds are interesting. Only experience them at barrows, my guy sounds like he's going to throw up half the way "buurgh...". I imagine the female ones are rather amusing, especially when they die. Friend got hit by dh, "aaaaah!"

nah it's just I'm levelling my skills evenly. Bar dungeoneering(I've only just got back after a very long break) crafting is my lowest skill. So it's going from 58 to 70, then everything else will go up to 70 etc. I've been told to solo Dungeoneering until around 50, then read guides about team play and join teams.

I'm currently 58 crafting and was wondering which are the best ways to level it? I don't mind throwing a bit of cash at it to speed it up. I was thinking making dragonhide gear with sc needles? any advice would be great.

unless I was offered something ridiculously high like £100k I wouldn't sell it. I don't think of it as a job..I can't really put a monetary value on the time I've spent enjoying the game. Putting a price on it almost makes it seem like a chore. Putting a value of say £200 on my account would be similar to someone asking me to value the relationship with one of my friends in monetary terms, it just can't be done. My account is priceless to me, although as I said I would accept a life changing sum..

OH MY GOD If thats not a typo, il scream. :lol: thatd be pretty awesome, but pretty much skrews up of the current KBD and KQ systemz :o kalphite king would be impossible(or at least very stupid) since insect colony's only have a dominant queen and all the male workers are slaves. aye true. Though if their anything like ants they'll have an emergence of large winged males annually. It would make sense to have a an area of say.. lvl200? Large but not KQ large winged kalphite. Or maybe they could suggest only one fertile male is produced and it's BIG. They could extend the size of the kalphites lair or possibly create another one nearer the bottom right of the desert region.
