  1. Yes, it does.
  2. I think if I switched items and you didn't check your second trade screen, and I stole over 50m that way, I should be able to post on TIF. Luring is a scam. It is clearly a deception as you have a hidden intent, and with no solid line it's impossible to tell precisely where the wilderness begins, especially if you don't enter the wilderness often. Jagex may be confused temporarily, or swayed by greedy morons, but that doesn't make this right.
  3. It's been done. Some level 121 or so has one. Are you talking about me? :P I like my untrimmed HP cape! :( i met a guy with an untrimmed HP cape he's a slayer freak lol not sure if i'm allowed to post his name but i will anyway since i am not talkin bad about him. Red mac is his name. the oddest one i saw was a 125 with untrimmed hp cape Gah there's already a 125 with untrimmed hp? Meh, I'll just get my defence cape then lol... :P
  4. 1821 skill total now, with about 360m to 380m bank worth. You didn't put me on last time I posted :(
  5. stupid... controlled givs more exp then normal melee training :? No it doesn't... controlled gives 1.333 xp to each skill per point of damage, versus 4 damage to one skill per point of damage. And either way it gives 1.333 xp to hitpoints per point of damage. Unless they changed it which I doubt... Between level 73 attack, defence, and strength and level 93 attack, defence, and strength I train controlled the whole way, and kept all my XP within a point of each other... :\
  6. It's been done. Some level 121 or so has one. Are you talking about me? :P I like my untrimmed HP cape! :(
  7. He already has a 99 good call...... 54 is more like it Good call. Mano said he already has a 99, therefore his cape would be TRIMMED. Again, good call. Actually if the skiller in question were to reach 99 slayer without gaining any combat it will still prove untrimmed slayer capes are possible... because no noncombat skill is REQUIRED in slayer.
  8. Well, even normal antipoison gives like a 30 second immunity. If you don't believe me, get poisoned, drink the normal anti poison and keep getting attacked by a poison weapon. You'll notice you can't get poisoned right away for a few seconds, sometimes as long as a minute, even against monsters like cave slimes that always poison even if they miss. Since you're drinking super restore potions every minute or so down at DKs, this might prove effective... at least, effective enough to save 2-3 spaces. I'd still bring 1-2 super antipoisons. =\
  9. Ehh... basically my friend decided that instead of helping me, he made up some lies about me being Zezima... And honestly, somehow those f2pers would believe anything... :\
  10. I'm pretty sure everyone's seen by now the millions of new "movies" and "videos" runescape players have been posting. Well, for a while now I've been planning to do one with a group of friends. Seeing the millions of videos, most of them low quality and rushed, depressed me a little bit (please don't take offence at this). Anyways, seeing them spurred us on a little bit, and finally our plans are taking form. So, right away we spend a few days collecting treasure trail items. Were hoping to get some of the costumes we need, or at least some money to buy them, and we all have our share of laughs doing it. This goes pretty smoothly and pretty soon we've raised the cash we need. Then came the mistake. I went to f2p world 1 to buy the costumes we need, and saw a crowd doing emotes. Just for fun I went inside and did every emote other than the one they were doing. They laughed, I cried. They danced, I panicked. They jumped for joy, I slapped my head. They flapped... (oops) I did HP cape emote. In no time flat I have 30 people ranging from level 15 to level 80 following me asking me for more emotes. Can you say lag? Well, I was trying to get away from them but only succeeded in increasing the size of my little fan club. I asked my friend to help, and this is what he said. Look! It's Soma2035! Look! It's Zezima's second account! Everyone! Zezima's back! Everyone! Soma2035 is Zezima! Yep... right about there, my fan club increased from 40 to 100 and all shouting "Welcome back zezima!" and "Emote please!". The lesson of all this? Don't go f2p shopping wearing a skill cape, and always shop alone. Oh... if any mods have a problem with me using this particular person's name in this context, feel free to edit it out and just replace it with [famous person's name] or something... I'm not sure if using it like such violates any rules but if it does, please fix it or let me know. :)
  11. I think they should make a rule prohibiting you from asking a player to speak in English if you're on a German server... then find a few German player mods to handle it.
  12. 1820 skill total... roughly 360m in items and cash.
  13. I Agree with you. but banning stat sigs? whats up with that?.... I think banning stat sigs does go a little bit too far... I mean, how are they hurting anyone...? :\
  14. Shades with salve (e) and dharoks.
  15. So should it also be none of their business that people use autos to play? There has to be limits on how people can use other software. Jagex has made these restrictions clear now. That is all.
  16. Reminds me of Morning's End Part 2 with the handholds, Get so close, then fall. :x Id say the handholds are 10000000000x worse :wall: Not if it's a race between you and forty people and the chest holds 50m...
  17. Next time you see a wallet left on the counter top while the owner crouches down to pick up a few coins he dropped, steal it. Then try this "He deserved it cause he was being stupid in leaving his wallet in plain sight and looking away" defence in court and tell me how it goes. There is no reason a law should not be enforced merely because the victim deserved to lose his items.
  18. If you haven't noticed this discussion is not about pking lures. Attacking someone and running to multi and hoping they follow is perfectly okay, and it has no semblance to a deception at all...
  19. And if you were lied to, and didn't know it was wilderness, yes you deserve to lose your stuff, but on the other side of the same coin, the scammer deserves to be banned for an infraction of Runescape Rule #2.
  20. True. But does that mean the scammers should go unpunished? Read through this thread. There have been many examples showing when people are punished even when the victim justly deserved it. How long will it take for people to learn that the victim being ignorant isn't an excuse?
  21. deceiving= leing about there stats or tricking them into fighting them in wildy. this could be a form of luring, getting a player to skull on them then whip out there unbeleivably high mage and KO the player very easily... and when you said, "But just because the code displays his combat level as low, and you assume that to mean he's weak, doesn't mean he is responsible for deceiving you." this is very much decieving... and why do people keep bringing up stealing real life money? do people really not have the life to tell the difference between items and gold peices on a game, to real life money? you might say it has the same priorities. And no it doesnt not at all, some one can actually end your career in real life by putting you in so much debt you have to file for bank rupcey and lose all of your posetions. Compared to a game where you can just build up your wealth like you did in the first place... People bring up money BECAUSE it's a similar situation. The point isn't whether it's real life, runescape, or any other game. The point is, if you break a rule, you deserve to be punished WHETHER OR NOT THE PERSON DESERVED TO BE VICTIMIZED. It DOESN'T MATTER whether or not they made a bad choice. If a player chooses to break a rule, they deserve to be banned. This invalidates the whole "they're stupid to fall for it so it's okay" argument. Nothing more. Honestly, get it through your head. And I think, not 100% it's what he meant, but xarik meant that pures themselves aren't deceiving, it's Jagex's combat level system, and you're assumptions that deceive you. A pure is only actively deceiving you if he TELLS you he is weak. Otherwise, it is your assumption that deceives you. The combat level system is an APPROXIMATION of strength. If a player feels a certain combination will yield a stronger account for PvP combat at that level he is free to make such an account. That is not a deception.
  22. This could be pretty offencive or you have no life... comparing a girl getting raped to you losing some stuff on a game? i think theres something wrong with that  Whether or not how severe the crime is, the rule still applies. Arikado has a good point. Whether or not someone DESERVES to be a victim of a crime is inconsequential. If you break a law, or in this case, a rule, then you deserve to be punished. Were not discussing the severity of crimes or punishment here. The point is, if you violate the rules set, you will be punished whether or not the victim deserved it. Just saying "He was stupid and deserved to be lured" doesn't justify your crime.
  23. This proves NOTHING. There have also been pictures of other mods saying that luring IS against the rules. All that means is that Jagex isn't sure themselves. And it's still safer not to lure because if Jagex isn't sure, one mod may decide to ban you for it. even if others say it's okay. And finally as I stated before and I WILL state again, Mod Paul himself, probably the second "most important" mod being the co-owner of runescape, declared openly that trade lures WERE a violation of rule 2 at the height of the Oziach lure. He posted it clearly on the rants forum on RSOF as an answer to all the complaints and debates. I do not have a picture because I didn't use TIF much at that time and didn't know how to post screenies anyways so I figured it wouldn't matter, but he DID post it there.
  24. For everyone making claims that range bonuses increase your maximum hit... it DOES NOT. Range bonus has ONE effect, and ONE effect ONLY. It increase the chance of you hitting your opponent. Damage is factored only on projectile type and current range level (after including prayer and potions). To the original poster: A magic shortbow gives roughly 60-70 points of ranging attack. A set of full rune penalizes your range by less than 30 points. Adding your amulet and perhaps other items you may be wearing, you're bonus is still roughly 40-50 points. On monsters like ogres who have no defence against range, you should still be hitting almost every time. Range bonus is only critical when fighting monsters with semi-high or high defence.
  25. I had 10 points but I think it may be skewed by my opinion on parties. Right now I'd probably spend half an hour to an hour on runescape, and the rest of the time studying. If I didn't play runescape, it would be playing some other video game or studying the whole time. I think you should modify the question... there are plenty of people like myself who just dislike going to parties, and it may have no connection with runescape. :\
