  1. Don't you mean Port Sarim? I've never heard of a Port Saradomin...
  2. You've obviously never heard of Gladz. :)
  3. That is a good point too. Woodcutting I believe has enough. It is a simple skill and magics at 75 are still better then 71. Firemaking sort of has the same reasons, but they do need updates too. Prayer is one of my fave stats too, couldn't agree more. Magic seems to have endless high level updates, or is that just me? Firemaking: I agree. Prayer: Disagree. Pray points are extremely valuable, and that's what most level ups are for. That and combat levels. Woodcut: I'm not sure since I don't woodcut myself. I would agree because from what I've heard, 99 woodcut isn't that much faster than 75 woodcut.
  4. ummm no moneys outta ur pocket, u pay nothing f2p is a like a trial, dont be poor get 5 bucks And the 14 year old with the anti-credit card, anti-computer game parent gets left out then? A lot of times it's not about the five dollars. It's about actually GETTING the money to Jagex. If they sold membership cards in drugstores for six bucks apiece, I'm sure they would have more members. I actually couldn't get membership for my first year of Runescape because my parents wouldn't let me pay Jagex through their credit card or the phone.
  5. Before you begin to flame people regarding their intelligence, I would suggest you learn some grammar and spelling. I won't claim my English is perfect, but I don't go about calling people idiots. Your bus analogy isn't really accurate. This is a GAME. There are hundreds of other games similar to this one. You don't HAVE to visit Jagex's websites if you don't want to. This means that the people enjoying the f2p version of Runescape are the one's exposed to this advert. You almost HAVE to use the streets however. That means anyone on the street is exposed to these advertisements. I could be taking a walk in the park and see these adverts. I could be waiting for a friend in front of a restaurant. I could be driving down the street, going home when I see it. Advertisements on a bus aren't targeting specifically people who choose not to ride the bus. Therefore you can't argue that people who choose not to ride the bus are the basis for these advertisements and allowing the owners to make money selling advertising space.
  6. Actually, no. A multi million dollar deal is a lot more than a million dollars a year. ALSO, consider the fact that each member requires about 10 times more memory space because of quests, bank space, poh. Remember also, that forums are unnecessary if members did not exist. Forums are really still members only, if members didn't exist no one would post there. Not to mention, extra customer service is required for members. All in all, the extra money from members pays for the increase maintenance and extra website features. So really, if members still deserve updates on top of that, f2p could use a little more bank space... and 2 updates a year... And before you flame me, I have two member accounts.
  7. For probably the most amusing story of this genre, ask Leesters about his cannon story. As for me, I can't count the amount of times my clan calls a PK trip and I go out there with black dragon, MSB, and no arrows.
  8. Oh yea. One more dream I had: I visited my friends house, his sister was playing runescape (she's like 10 now I think...). She gets attacked by an evil chicken and I tell her to run, instead she attacks it: It's level 695, and it's showing up as green to her (meaning she was at least 702). That's when I woke up. Two weeks later, fight caves were added. Kinda bizarre. As for everyone who says there's a problem with dreaming about computer games: people dream about EVERYTHING. I've always hated warcraft, never even tried to play world of warcraft, and somehow I had a dream about it anyways.
  9. I rate it -47/10. It would be -50, but I think SOMEONE probably spent a full five minutes writing it and I didn't want to hurt his/her feelings.
  10. Wanna-be pures. The real pures, the first ones, were people who merely liked more exciting fights. These new wannabes just do it for money and to be "cool". I'm not really a fan of PKing, but I tolerate it. Until it starts to interfere with me doing other things. I REALLY hate being flamed by a level 50 who has a level 190 "main".
  11. For: - People enter the wilderness at their own risk, we just take advantage of that. - JaGex made it in the wildy so that it would be risky otherwise runecrafting is too easy. - Pking is a way of cash and rc pking is just another form of pking with easier kills than other ways. - We all want glories and this is just another way to get them for free. Against: - Rcers are defenceless skillers and it takes no skill to kill them. - Rc pkers should go pk at places with other pkers so they get a challenge. - You lose all honour if you kill someone who is defenceless. __________________________________ We don't "all" want glories and they're not free. I disagree with the fact they're defenceless skillers. They CHOOSE to be defenceless. They could just as easily bring only 5 rune essence, and be fully armed and ready to fight back. That's my attitude towards any activity that forces me into wilderness. I go armed to teeth and fight back. If you're defenceless, expect to be killed. As for RC PKers going somewhere else: If you're out there for fun, I agree. It's much more thrilling to have a real fight with someone. But if you're trying to PK for money, then it's better to kill people who pose no risk and are carrying 50k, and relatively easy to kill. And if you choose to be defenceless, then it's YOUR fault. Being defenceless and hoping they don't kill you is a horrible mentality. I don't PK, but if I go out to the wild for something, I'm prepared to fight back.
  12. My friends still pick on me for this, but I had a dream where I got home from school, logged in, right in the middle of a drop party in Draynor. I put on a party hat to get in the party spirit, and got sniped by a Star Wars clone trooper standing on the roof of Draynor bank. No, it didn't make much sense.
  13. Hey red, whats up? Just Kidding. What really annoys me is what nowadays people call pures. And it's not the style that bothers me, it's the attitude. Pures used to be groups of people who enjoyed more exciting and riskier fights. Now it's a bunch of whiners who think it earns them respect, and they flame people insanely while bragging about a "main" account. Oh and reb, as Aahz would say: "What's in the name?"
  14. Fire capes are nontradeable as well and people pk with those.
  15. You mean 1 to 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 or however many zeros there were... Or "10000000000000000000000000000000000000 to 1 against you".
  16. I alched seven because noone would buy them...
  17. WRONG. The philosopher's stone is an ancient legend, a mythic tool that would turn objects, primarily lead, into gold, and create life. It has nothing to do with the anime. The idea of the philosopher's stone existed back in the time of the Greeks, along with the idea of Alchemy. The Manga/ Anime is based on the idea of Alchemy, which is changing one element to another. This idea was first thought of when scientists from a long time ago found that lead has a similar density to gold, and believed they could somehow turn one into the other.
  18. Isn't it spelled "serenity"? Just thought you should know. :|
  19. If they're trying to lure you for gold, bring 50 gp. Let them get all excited when they see the money.
  20. Skill emote plz! When I'm wearing obby cape... -.-
  21. I was watching JJrock's Gladz party crash video. When I got to the segment where one of the crashers was fighting zezima, my little brother saw it. He asked me, "What's Zezima's range level?" And yes my little brother plays Runescape... I didn't even know how to answer that question.
  22. I dislike your current setup, because it's way to strict. The clan should be able to lay out their clan the way they see fit. They should not be forced to run a certain way, or have no clan support. I would suggest a rank/privilege system rather than your current clan ranks. Perhaps a grid, where the top lists various rights, such as kicking clan members, changing ranks, access to clan meetings, leaving clan messages, adding new classes, changing privileges, etc. On the left would be a list of ranks you add, and you can add ranks, title them, and select privileges that go with that rank. That way clans have a bit more flexibility in their clan setup.
  23. 76 right now. I've got like 25 or so d stones ready to be made into glories though, should break 100 soon.
  24. Fletching is probably the most worthless one, followed by cooking. Yes firemaking is cheap and quick, but it can also be difficult due to the fact you have to constantly click on the same thing, over and over and over. There's also practically no alternate ways to train firemake. Shades give less than 1/4 the xp per hour than you can expect from powerburning. Even fletching and cooking have alternates: you can string bows for a while instead of fletching them, attach adamant arrowheads to shafts, and there are like a million things your able to cook. Construction, Hunter, and Prayer are also relatively easy to get if you have the money. The only reason Hunter is so respected is because it was released so recently. Construction and Prayer are extremely expensive, so it shows wealth more than perseverance, which has it's own appeal.
