  1. Also I don't *believe* your magic boost (from clothing) effects the accuracy of slayer dart.
  2. Sooner or later all of the chipmunks will die of starvation, and then you'll have to deal with all the animal cruelty people. You don't know much about squirrels then. You see, they don't EAT acorns. They just pretend they do. In fact, they're "squirreling away" acorns to build a weapon that will one day destroy the earth. I thought everybody knew squirrels feasted on human flesh :-s
  3. Range has an "unending cost", with melee you buy a weapon and thats it - as long as you like, not talking about barrows because all classes have to pay for it. I think the main reason is that it gives you combat levels more and because its better to pk with. Melee isn't overpowered, range is just underpowered. Also, you can sell that whip. It's not like you can use 1k mith arrows and then sell them on, because you've lost them.
  4. As I remember it Zamorak was one of Zaros Leiutenants and was to deliever the staff to Zaros, when he went to give it to him, Zamorak and some of Zaros other Leiutenants jumped Zaros and Zamorak killed Zaros with the staff of Arymdal. I would assume that was in the third age, and Zamorak became a god when he defeated Zaros.
  5. He said for people who don't intend to use it, those people won't bother repairing it. It seems pretty stupid to me, considering they introduced a skill partly to drain money out of runescape.
  6. Feel free to add me if you want to chat :) Just wish me luck when I'm about to open the barrows chest is all I ask :P
  7. Ownage pohs are only for the very rich :(. I think even the very rich would rather spend their cash on skills then this. I doubt anybody has multiple steel dragons, what Jagex should have done was kept the price the same but you'd get 5 for that price. That was you'd get more people buying and it'd be an even more effective money sink.
  8. hehe final fantasy 11 online.. that'd be a whole lot easier.. but i don't see it coming to rs either... just there for show i guess. Could you imagine it? People would trade water orbs to their friends for uncharged orbs at the water obelisk. Although it would be possible if you could only send/recieve items at banks, that's something I'd like to see.
  9. They can when it is stealing money from them. Hell, they have legal grounds for a lawsuit (checked with one of my lawyer friends). At least they are giving everyone a chance to clean up. Proof? To be honest I seriously doubt that your "lawyer friend" knows what he's talking about if he told you this, but when I see proof I'll believe you. I'm pretty sure you can take down a website if you ping it enough. In fact I believe some people actually threaten to ping sites and take them down if a ransom is not recieved. Now, take into consideration how much damage pinging a site can doand then think. Do you not think Jagex could force them to remove something like this? Unless they've given permission I think Jagex has a lot of power over this situation.
  10. Well, imo: Two, may 3 entrances to the dungeon. Each entrance would have different monsters and different rooms, one route would be low levelled monsters and a long route to the chest, another meduim levelled monster with a short route and the last would be full of a high levelled monsters and traps with a relativly short route. Also, all the routes would eventually meet up in one corrider filled with hellhounds before a room with a steel dragon that leads into the treasure room.
  11. I was doing a level 3 clue the other day that took me into the wilderness. I pull the lever in ardougne and some guy in ahrims robes and torags helm starts freezing me. I start eating so I don't die, I'll only lose a holy symbol and some white boots but I'll also lose my clue I've been working on for half an hour. So I keep eating and start praying against magic, he pulls out a whip and I'm near death and decide to try the lever again hoping the freezing effect has worn off. I tele back with 4hp, and the guy that tried to pk me tele's back to. I try to be polite because I'm going into the wilderness by choice, and I can accept I might get pk'ed. Me: You nearly got me there. =P Me: You wouldn't have got anything good though, hard luck. Him: Nice noob prayer there! Him: I don't pk for pixels nerd, I do it for fun. Then he proceeds to call me a noob nerd and various other 'insults' (I actually think being called a nerd is a compliment) and just acts like an idiot. If he was only pking for fun why was he getting so worked up because he missed out on seeing some text at the bottom of the screen telling him he's killed me.
  12. Anyone else besides me wish that they would have just one good, big update a month instead of 4 crappy ones?Quite soon they'd get the flood of "OMG WE NEED UPDATES" rants. It's just like with the computer console market, the casual gamers drive the market, the devolpers are going to generally try to make things that appeal to them. With Runescape, we're driven by lower levelled, generally more causal players who want an hour long update a week and not an epic quest every month.
  13. Anyone else besides me wish that they would have just one good, big update a month instead of 4 crappy ones? Maybe a bit of variety, for example one week they'll introduce a short mini quest, the next will just be some tweaks and give them some time to work on a great quest for the next week. I'm not fond of all the little quests, they don't seem like quests... just like short distractions with not much purpose.
  14. For me, a skill cape I suppose, it depends on the rare and the skill cape. I think I'd choose a blue p hat over a lot of skills if not all, but for something like a halloween mask I'd definatly prefer a trimmed prayer skill cape.
  15. I still think there's very much a market for rares. A lot of people buy into them as investments and to merchant, and skill capes won't change this. Also, a lot of people will want a party hat as well as a skillcape. Think about it, when somebody gets a skillcape it's going to act like a hook, they'll see the recognition they get and start wanting more signs of wealth and power. Considering you can't wear two skills capes at once once they get it trimmed they'll start to look at things like dragon chains and party hats. Also if somebody been aiming for a 99 skill, once they get it they might start to set new goals. I think in the end, it'll all balance out and they'll still rise in price. Did they dip in price when skill capes were released btw?
  16. I believe it only affects drops I'm not sure.
  17. Like it or lump it, these players are giving Jagex money and that's good for us. So yes, they have their bad points but they also contribute to the community. Everybody started off at a low level remember, nothing stopping them becoming great players.
  18. It was quite a while since that rule was written. So i think so long as jagex could see evidence of the scam in the screen shot then they'd take action for it for repeated reports about a player.
  19. Gotta be plox, I don't think I've ever seen an genuine begger use it but everybody imitating them and taking the mick use it.
  20. the time i play varies within all those numbers... whats going to a party have anything to do with runescape at all? Just because your 126 doesnt mean you play alot, it can mean that you invested properly or have been playing for many years. some people don't like the cold this is probably the only relevant question what if I don't like sports? I enjoy weight lifting but not competitive sports. This seems to be more of a test on whether your a stereotype nerd then addicted to runescape. It's a nice idea but just doesn't work. Exactly, I have spurts where I'll pull an all nighter and then there'll be nights when I'm out till 5 at a party. You can't really point to somebody and say you play too much rs just because you don't have brilliant social skills. I think a better way of testing would be to ask people how they split the time up, if they're spending far more time on RS than with friends and occasionally bunking school or work then I'd say they may be a teeny bit obsessed, but for somebody who plays a few hours a day and doesn't do a lot of partying or sports that makes them obsessed? Sorry to be such a downer, I just hate it when people like Jack Thompson generalise about us gamers everybody is different and has different circumstances and you can't just label them. Although I'll be honest, I scored a 8. There have been times where I've played RS all the time and others where I've hardly played at all. I just came back to RS after I six month gap, I wouldn't have come back at all if it hadn't been for two great friends who still play I think a lot of peoplemoan about the RS community but there are still a lot of great players out there.
  21. So basically, to sum up: If you're at steel dragons, and you're getting a rare every 20 drops, you'll get a rare every 20 drops with or without the ROW. But without the ROW you might get 1 in every 10 rare drops being a dragon items, but with it on you'll get 2 out of 10 rares being a dragon items. (as the dragon items are worth more to the general store than say a half key) Numbers are made up of course, but is that roughly the idea?
  22. Great idea, I never thought of that. I'll have to give it a go soon before everybody is trying it out :P
  23. Thats a load of cabbage. It is hurting the game in the following ways: 1) The money is being ILLEGALLY created. Setting up a Macroer to make money for you 24/7. Rule Broken. 2) These people then SELL that money for Real Life Items, few rules broken there. 3) It isn't the same money being circulated as the people that buy the Macroers stuff with their money probably generated in Alching, which means NEW MONEY has entered the game. But having said that, nah its fine, it's all ok to go buy RS GP for real life items, even though its very illegal and you've got a high chance of bannage. Don't forget, a lot of the time macro'ers will mine or fish etc and then sell these raw materials for lower, and lower prices. On the scale it is, this can turn the entire economy upside down, think about it, then Jagex have to waste time combatting autoers and setting the economy right again. Why should we put up with people sapping all the enjoyment out of the game so that they can reach the level thats taken us time and effort to get to, I see no reason why we should let idiots like this walk all over us and ruin the game.
  24. 3rd Age Blade: a medium length slender blade, imagine the design for the elven swords in Lord of the Rings, something like that, you can dual wield them but you only get one at a time, they don't come as a set. Stats: Good for slashing and stabbing, poor at crushing. Fairly fast with one blade, faster than a dagger with two. Special: (with one blade) A lunge into their torso, then a shield bash to the face (or whatever is in your hands, the wieght of it determines how long they're stunned for). (with two blades)A spinning attack that knocks the opponent(s) back and then a slashing movement with both which does double damage. 3rd Age Great Bow: a huge bow, nearly as tall as the player themself, it has a hand guard around the middle and thus gives a decent defense bonus as well as a great ranged bonus. Stats: Fairly slow, but you can set it to load one, two or three arrows at once (the more arrows the faster but also less accurate). Good accuracy also. Special: Takes twice as long as a normal attack, the player loads three arrows in at once pulls the string right back takes aim and let's loose each arrow had added damage and is as accurate as with one arrow. 3rd Age Staff: Has long long smooth handle (same size as normal but straight) with a [bleep]ed orb at the top, the orb glows different colours, red, blue, brown and white, it provides infinite earth, water, fire and air runes. Stats: Huge magic boost, fairly good crush boost too, can be wielded one handed, or two handed (two handed allowing for faster spell casting than normal). Special: The player stabs the enemy and then releases a spell instantly, the damage is doubled. Note: Melee attacks done with this weapon would be magic based. I'd think those would be pretty cool.
  25. Free to Play is really only supposed to get you ready for Members, the vast majority of players are either low levelled F2P players or Members, why would Jagex waste their time giving people less of a reason to upgrade and please the minority.
