  1. It's not hard to go to your control panel and look at your basic specs, Jagex should've given instructions I guess. Funny thing is, I bet nowhere near as many have 2GB of Ram like the poll says, they probably think it's HDD space :wall:
  2. I could post some scripts for comics, I'll think up some ideas and send them in a pm?
  3. just to say against this theory... if this was per person, then it would be easy to say against it... ever went to a place, and got a good drop on the first or second kill, like a clue, or a black mask... then it will say that the number was a long way from being "done" if it's that monster or so, that every kill, also those others do, that counts... then it would be impossible to get a drop right after a system update... something we saw was possible now, when a tif'er got the dark bow at once... so the point with something random, no matter what it is, is that you don't get better odds in winning in something when you loose... take roulette... if you have a 1/60 chance of getting the right number (don't know how many it is) then it doesn't give you a bigger chance each time you fail, because the odds "resets" so for every loss you make, then you still have the same 1/60 chance of winning Unless they set the dark beasts to drop one after 10 kills after the update for the first few bows. Imagine it's like working through a list, they could've started the update near the bottom of the list, not saying I believe this just saying that dark bow drops don't disprove this theory.
  4. When did i say otherwise, I said it was possible to achive a ranged defense bonus of 404, where did I mention anything about defense in the other areas?
  5. Thats not the maximum. Dragon Long gives a small defence bonus :o really? i didnt know that....thanks lol can you tell how much def? There's an item database, why not use it. Also new crystal shield =80 range def, fully charged dragon fire = 72 range def.
  6. Torags and dharoks legs give the same defense, also fury is better than gnome ammy last i checked, I do however think that with a new crystal shield, archer ring and fire cape he could get +404 range defense.
  7. You can get over 400 ranged defense. Melee can still own rangers fairly easily.
  8. This depends too much about the case. In some cases I'd allow little name chances, but in general not. Well, they could always make it into a money sink. IE: Pay 10k to change your name once, pay 100k every time after. Anyway, on topic. I think it's unfair how many updates Jagex aims at the lower levels. Surely high level updates not only please the higher levelled players but also give the lower levels something to aim for and to enjoy later on.
  9. That's the point though. Robins have managed to hold their value despite having been out for over a year. (Of course this is partly due to its rarity). If the Dark Bow is a great weapon and revolutionary to range training then it too should be able to hold its value. But i think it will be closer to an Archer ring which while it is attainable by a much more limited player base it will fall rapidly as it is a fairly common drop. I'm not sure, nobody really certain of how rare or common a drop they are, or how useful they are. How long did it take for people to realise how useful veracs was for the kq? I'm not even going to bother guessing the bow's price because Runescape has a pretty topsy turvy economy at times, but I'd be surprised if the bow wasn't pretty expensive when it stabalises. Edit: I'll agree on agreeing to disagree *deep breath*
  10. We got around 3k players who can get dark bows and around 500-600k who can get robins. Also factor in how many robins there already are in the game.
  11. Hey,I'd rather be running around with a awesome looking dark bow (imo) then a green stick with a string attached. Also the archer ring is the only range boost you can get in that slot, I think if you're comparing bow to bow you may as well compare helm to helm or something. Anyway, the point still remains the dark bow is well worth it for that +30 odd range bonus above the msb.
  12. Right but when you wear other stuff it would be about 150 vs 183 range bonus. Is that better? Sure. But it's definitely not 10M better just for everyday training and im not entirely sure that it is 2M better. I have no problem with people paying for it for whatever reasons that they wish and i have no problem with Lvl 90 slayers trying to get as much as they can for the bow. But i probably wont be buying one as id rather use a Cbow which hits higher and i dont need to pick up the arrows. Remind me how much people pay for robins, considering they only give +2 more range boost than a 60k archer helm.
  13. So a high alk value of 72k. Means it can be used for pk'ing :D
  14. Gratz on the first bow. Tbh I thought it might even go for more considering the bow looks to be worth switching from abbys to beasts in the long term.
  15. Scammers won't know that, if this cuts down the majority of scamming and it's no longer worthwhile you'll see a stop to scamming. At the very least there should be less scamming.
  16. Heh, posted 1 minute before me. Anyway I'll need to make a stew for woodcutting, high reqs should mean a good reward and hard quest :D
  17. The last one should be useful, hopefully it'll make things harder to scam with. I can't wait to check out the new canafis, only 2 hours till I get home. :)
  18. I've only really had good experiences with mods, player or Jagex staff. The last two player mods I've met have been polite, even when questioned, and I've had pretty good conversations with both of them afbout autoers (this being shortly after Jagex posted the news bulletins about real world trading etc). As for Jagex mods, I met a bunch of them in Lumbridge when they were on their lunch break, they were great fun to be around and I think it's really great that even though they can't really play the game the same way as us, they still take the time to hang out with some of us randomly. So for me anyway, I respect Mods, they've earnt that crown by cleaning up the community, and unless they act like an idiot I'll respect whatever they say to me or ask me to do.
  19. Hmm, Jagex may give the drak bow a great spec to make it up to rangers for the MSB spec nerf all that time ago. Should be a good update and I look forward to seeing how good the new items are.
  20. No. There are hundreds of thousands general gamers PCs that are a LOT faster than Xbox 360's, Playstation 3s are also faster than Xbox 360s. The Cell is great for number crunching whilst the Xenon is generally designed for General Purpose processing, you can't really compare the two processors because they're so different in architecture. On paper it sounds great but it's hard to develop games etc that can optimize the cell. You're not seeing a great use of physics or AI in PS3 games in comparison to 360 titles, when we get two third or fourth generation titles devs may have enough experience to get the most performance out of both the Xenon and Cell, at that point you'll be able to compare the two. PS: As for the PS3 being faster with load times it has a standard HDD that can be used to cache information, but you're also looking at a lower read speed with the blu ray drive in comparison to the DVD drive within the 360. Edit: Another point to take into consideration is the fact that the 360's Xenos GPU smokes the RSX GPU witgin the PS3 (due to the fact NVidia met the original deadline whereas Sony pushed back the 360 due to the blu ray drive, meaning when the PS3 launched the chip was already fairly old)
  21. er I dont think you can tell someone to spell something a certain way lol... He simply asked that he spelt the word Jagex correctly in future so as to avoid getting flamed. [Kill Life Edit: I'm a 'he' #-o ] Why don't you start moaning at the education system for marking people down for spelling words incorrectly in exams.
  22. yeah thats it !!! thnx =) I forgot the name. It gives more p points when you use a prayer potion, I also think it slows the drain rate, not sure. I think i might test it to see if the effect stacks with multiple wrenchs...
  23. The accumalator you get from doing Animal Magnetism. Not sure what you mean about prayer thingy  As for the penance gloves I might try BA again and join you if you want. PS: Not sure if you know about the new item database but you can always try using that for information on item locations etc. Edit: Oh and also there's been a massive jewellry update, you can know make bracelets that go in the glove slot, I'll try and get a link to the kbase for you. Also, Jagex introduced the 'Achievement Diary' so far there's only achievements in karamja, basically by doing certain tasks (like getting to a point in the fight caves, or growing a tree) cross off certain achievements, once you've finished a set of tasks you can claim a reward, the first one is a pair of gloves for the easy tasks the change the prices on karamja (being able to buy an onyx for 260k tokkul for instance  ) and then the gloves will give you 10% extra exp from agility arena tickets for completeing all the medium tasks and finally for doing all the hard tasks, the gloves will telport you to a mine underneath shilo village filled with gem rocks.
  24. Currently our highest prayer requires lvl 52 and I don't think we got any armours that require high pray either. This means prayer has the lowest "highest usable lvl" gab. We got over lvl 90 spells, we got lvl 90 craftable materials, 90 slayable beasts, 71+ huntable monsters and even armours&weapons which require higher level than prayer. At the moment people aren't really cheered to get higher prayer. If you aren't a high lvl staker, pker or don't want high combat for some reason, you got no reason to take a high prayer lvl. So far I've personally thought of the following prayers: * Boost the energy recharge. Would help agility training, running around the map for farming purposes and in some cases even pkers. * +20% boost to att, str, def, ranged and magic. Obvious reasons :P * Combine protection spells: By combiting 2 protection prayers (from magic and melee, melee and ranged or ranged and magic) into one high (80 or even 90+) pkers and stakers would get a reason to train prayer, magic and ranged instead of purely melee. By having 2 protections in one it forces people to take every type of a warrior to their team or carry the items to ko the enemy with a variours styles. In other words; Fire capes! Free fire capes! Come and get 'em! And I don't even want to think of the problems this would cause pking... gimme a free cape pl0x? combine prayers cant be made or firecape is just free.... and i would ruin pking soo much, all possible combo's wouldent work anymore.... How about it only blocks 50% of the damage for monsters and players.
  25. Wow learn to spell? sorry i'm not english, no one borns knowing everything. i just hope that you can write as good as i wrote english, every other language in the world that isn't your birth language, even if english isn't it, you should understand that not everyone can spell perfect english, not even some people that english is their birth language, so if you can, answer me in portuguese, german, japanese, and so on, all perfect and then i will say sorry to you for all this that i wrote, until then think before post.. please The point is you're supposed to use english here, if I went to a forum where the native language was french and you were supposed to use it there I wouldn't get annoyed if people flamed me for my terrible french. I'm not taking his side, but if you can run your posts through an english spellchecker then you'll eliminate that kind of response, and to be fair I thought you were talking about [bleep]ing your gloves at first.
