  1. Runescape has what, just over 1 million paying customers? WOW hit 10 million a while ago I think. Not to mention WOW subscription fees are higher, the recent merger with Activision and the release of Wrath of the Lich King coming up sometime next year. Runescape isn't going to beat WOW next year for paying members, no way, if you include F2P accounts then maybe, but you may as well include all the active WOW characters (that's up to 8 per account) as F2P accounts don't generate any real profit.
  2. Like i said earlier. Are we gettin the 4chan rejects in here or is the lingo spreading? Does it matter? Why do you care if people visit 4chan as well as tip it, maybe you should stop posting off topic spam and just lurk moar.
  3. No. I'm saying stop ranting about the updates because Jagex could have made the game much worse than this. So if somebody hits me in the face, I shouldn't be annoyed, I should just be glad they didn't hit me in the face with a hammer. That's what you seem to be saying. No its not like that, its like stop complaining the goverment raised your taxes, at least they didnt take your house. Why is it not like that? After all you should just be glad it wasn't worse.

  5. I think the blue cockatrice may be a owl, there's even an owl model in the supposedly leaked models. Trying to work out the red one, here's the picture from the wallpaper without the tongue: So far I think it could be one of these two models (the bird itself, not the cockatrice): Or
  6. Very very impressive :o I'd love to have a untrimmed slayer cape, let alone the only one
  7. #-o He didn't say every woodcutter was self righteous, and the danger of the wilderness was 'part of the game' seeing as how Jagex put it in with that intent, why do you think they kept putting in incentives to go there?
  8. +1 already lvl 8 lol Level 48 here, started playing just before the update
  9. I was thinking about this too. But I guess the British can't handle RWT like us Americans. British (Jagex Ltd.) Americans (Blizzard Ent.) Haha yes of course it's because they're American, of course... -.- Anyways, what did Blizzard do to deal with the problem? Ever since I've started playing WOW I've seen no action taken against gold farmers and the like. My friend buys gold when he needs it and is thinking about buying a Level 70 Shaman now, you'll find people advertising sites that sell gold whenever you enter a main city (Orgrimmar at least) and the game even has a mailing system that doesn't prevent players from recieving large amounts of gold from RWT'ers. Apparantly Blizzard is finally going to start taking action against scammers, when it comes to RWT'ers, scammers and the like Blizzard is terrible, they really don't seem to care. However gold farmers don't hinder my gameplay at all, and much of the end game content can't be bought with gold anyway.
  10. WBM. Please go kiss [wagon] somewhere else  Not kissing [wagon], i'm talking sense mate  . You don't this game anymore, don't play it. Simple as. Leave the people who actually do like it to play it without hearing your whining. The general opinion here is that these updates have killed off parts of the games that many players loved, and in some cases have left players will very little left to play for. You don't like this forum, don't post here, simple as. Leave the people who are actually trying to have a discussion involving their opinions to carry on without having to read your Holier than thou posts.
  11. Well, with the recent updates it seems like Jagex has taken the quick and easy way to solve the problem, so I'm trying to brainstorm some ides to fix some of the main problems. -Using a lootshare system similair to WOW's. All players can view rare loot, but rarer items have to be 'rolled' for. Each player can choose need, greed or to pass on the roll, if you need on the roll you're more likely to get the drop than those that choose greed. -Rare items dropping tokens. Rare items would drop tokens for a share of the loot. For example the Kalphite queen would drop 1/2 Dragon Chainbody note for both you and a friend, you could then sell this at the grand exchange, this would be grouped with another half from a different seller and be sold as a completed dragon chainbody with each seller recieving half of the cash. -Trade cap scales with value. Make trading like the grand exchange, although place a 10% difference on normal trades so as to set them apart from the exchange. -Scale the wilderness monsters. Similiar to random events these beasts would scale to your level, this way they'll provide a challenge without completely overpowering you. -Rules for clan wars. Be able to choose whether or not you can loot other players deathpiles etc. I havn't been able to log into RS yet, so I'm only making suggestions based on the feedback I've seen, feel free to post your own suggestions and give critiscm about mine.
  12. Looking good so far! Some things you might want to add: Maple composite bow. Mystic cape (+8 magic, replacement for god cape pre 60, the cape would drag behind you slightly). Disguise kit (when worn randomly changes your hair style / colour as well as beard style / colour, goes back to normal when changed). Princess hat (long cone shaped hat, available in white and pink). Princely tiara (a golden tiara with gems in it).
  13. Wow great find, I think it may just be a spirit wolf for the logo.
  14. Get them to wear some hunter clothing, follow you and pretend to be your pet. Or you could always get them to live a life of crime and giving you all the profits :-$
  15. Could interfere with combat etc :? So it's likely Jagex will never do it for combat skills at the very least, although i do agree with you.
  16. The thing with the musical notes coming out looks like a furry whistle, perhaps we can uses things like these to summon animals?
  17. Well if you search for all image sizes there's no RS pictures.
  18. Gratz Torti :D I've been taking a bit of a break from RS, should be back online soon...ish. PS: Need any con tips? XD
  19. Very, very nice find :o By the looks of it Jagex considered unicorns, boars, monkeys, more cats and dogs as well as some kind of bird. I'm hoping you can load up the unicorns with items or get the monkey to run the odd item to the bank (with limits of course), this skill doesn't look too combat focused with is nice (I don't mean it won't affect combat (possibly heavily) just that there's more to it than just that) I'm looking forward to what Jagex do with the skill. Also wondering how we'll get the animals. Hunting them? Buying them? Questing / minigames? Maybe all of them, perhaps training this skill will be like no other.
  20. Or perhaps you won't see other peoples summoned pets, just like you don't see other peoples farming patches. Might be awkward how they do pvp combat with pets in this way, my guess is you can't get your pets to aid you in pvp combat, as it's already possible to one hit most players.
  21. My opinion is you should just go and play World of Warcraft, that's what you've just described. Races just wouldn't work with Runescape, unless they only difference was the look. Otherwise it would just constrict us in what we can do, the great thing about Runescape is you can do anything so long as you have the skills, I don't want to lose every fight I have against race X just because they get a +5 to magic or whatever.
  22. Not many posts :? Anyway, congratulations on 99 runecrafting, that's an insane achievement I know I'd never have the willpower to complete. I'll try to come to the party and help you celebrate :P
  23. Umm, economic stability? What economic stability, this is a game. It's not Wall Street. Jagex cares about game play, not economic stability in a made up world. :wall: Construction says otherwise
