Black mask style armour? For example the armour has been designed for certain monsters, like keris for kalphites, so you'll get significant boosts when fighting dragons etc. Or possibly, the armour is holy and blessed by the gods, when you are skulled or enter a fight to the death the gods frown on you, this would mean it would still offer great protection in the wilderness so long as you weren't pk'ing.

I'm assuming turning the clanchat so that only friends can join isn't an option with the amount of tip it'ers. Short of making multiple clan chat's this seems like it may be the only solution.

Actually I think the eggs will tie into an update to the tzhaar city, if you like at the areas we can't reach the have egg incubator things.

Some people only sign up to use general discussion or whatever, it's not as obvious now they changed the format for the forums. Why not just tell somebody next time they ask, rather than just flame.

And I don't know why you're disgusted, I'm sure at 13 that would be a dream come true for you as would be for plenty others. ---------- I'm tired now... those are the best quotes I found. Why might he be disgusted, becuase that is a child, their body may not have even hit puberty yet, the fact is the majority of 13 year olds arn't mature enough to treat sex as a really serious issue, that's why there is an age of consent. At the age of 22 that woman should know what's right and wrong, she should know that having sex with a 13 year old (somebody who's less than two thirds of their age) is wrong, who's to say he knows the risk? Do we know if they used protection? For all we know the woman could have an STD, the point is the law is in place to protect our youth until they are at the age where they should be aware of all this and be able to make educated decisions. The fact is, the woman has broken the law and we don't know all the details, we don't know if the boy had second thoughts or anything, please can we just stick to facts we know, those being: -The boy is 13 years of age, 3(? (not sure where this has happened) years below the age of consent. - The woman is 22 years of age and therefore can be held responsible for her actions. - The woman has broken the law. Now it doesn't matter if the boy encouraged the woman, believe me I've seen this kind of siuation with a 13 year old who was fully developed and I was 17 and knew it would be (very) wrong. Actually I knew. :| I even tested it by trying to enter the max into a mahogany chest in my games room (i didn't have the cash though) and then putting 1gp over. You get two completely different messages.

24 November, 2003 Discussion closed. That was over 3 years ago, I'm sure Jagex didn't think bots would be capable of what they are now. Times change, Jagex adds more and more things to the game which are used differently from how the expected them etc.

Why don't we make an official one for Tip It users? We could just adopt W99 as it's already the homeworld but I think it may have a W2 kind of situation (getting hard to get into).

Everybodys forgetting it's going to take time to destroy the portals after they've been destroyed. Thus we can say it's going to be around 2 minutes (15 seconds to destroy the last portal) : If it took you about 30 seconds per round before that's 4 rounds of the old PC to one round of the new PC so that means you're getting 7/20 of the experience you would have bother in melee skills and 5/20 (1/4) of the exp you would have before in ranged or magic. If it took you one minute then you'd be getting 14/20 of the exp you would have before in melee skills and half the exp you would have in magic and ranged. However, this way you're going to be changing worlds far less and waiting for the boat to fill far less as well as there being far less newbies slowing you down, the difference isn't as huge as it seems.

You made the programmer in me vomit. Anyway, one-time fees are peanuts in the long run, so if I'm planning to play for a long time, sure, I'll pony it over. I hate Javascript, I remember making a website for an assignment in college than they made me put some Javascript in, completely uglified it. Anyway, the majority of the RS community doesn't know the difference between Java and Javascript, most people only know the consumer side to computing, sad but true.

Assuming that my PC could run it much the same as it can run the current RS (no difference to the amount of lag I recieve, frame rate dips the same as usual etc) then I'd be glad to pay so long as I could see some screenshots before I coughed up. Who knows who talented Jagex's staff are when it comes to high poly models and hig resolution textures, also would they be adding a more advanced physics engine etc.

I'm in agreement as well, although I've been more of a lurker here I can tell that the quality of posts is decreasing whilst the quantity is on the increase. Sadly I don't believe this to be a short phase in Tip It's life time, I believe it may just be an evolution and something that will stay in place.

You can get 404 ranged defense, and 1000 is less than 3x 385...

Completely different types of games, there are currently two MMORPGs for the 360, PSU and FFXI these could both keep you hooked for a very long time. The biggest eye catcher Runescape has is the fact you can play for free. Let's face it, by the looks of it none of Jagex's team has been making high resolution textures and so on (not for a while at any rate seeing as they'd be working on RS), also to implement a control they'd probably have to redo the interface to suit each console. Add in the fact they might have to use a new graphics engine and perhaps even a physics engine so that they could even come close tosome of the graphics we're seeing it's highly unlikely that Jagex is going to opt to shiny up the graphics to compete with other games. If i were Jagex I'd do a feasability study into porting the game over to the PS3, a lot of people have been using homebrews on it and it can support keyboard and mouse, the only real hurdle I can see is striking up a deal with Sony.

The article suggests it'd be a straight port, this means it'd look exactly the same on a console as it would running on your computer. I could see Jagex being unkeen to do a boxed version, hence why this generation of consoles is more desirable, their plan is probably to add the Runescape browser to the Xbox Live Marketplace, PSN Store and Wii Shop Channel, they could also have you pay for subscription via these areas (like Phantasy Star Universe does). The main thing holding them back from releasing it on the Xbox360 would be how strict Microsoft is with online content, developers often don't meet the deadlines they've hinted at because Microsoft wants to ran quality control on the content, hence slowing down the updates. Personally, considering how the PS3 runs Linux and how much the modding has done with the PS3's runni9ng Linux I think it'd be a good platform to test Runescape out on, in regards to updates they could just keep the PS3 users and PC users on different servers and update them seperatly. Also, considering the PS3 has has less than stellar sales it'd allow PS3 users to trickle into Runescape, I'd have thought very few early adopters would have bought it to play RS, so steadily as the PS3 finally gets a killer app or two as well as a price drop (we'll see what they say at E3) more and more people will buy a PS3 and may play Runescape via the PS3. Although, personally the only real advantage i can see for using Runescape on a console (assuming it is a straight port) would be it being integrated into the systems online segment, considering the 360 is the only one with a unified friends list and it's unlikely to go to it there's not much incentive for me to switch from the PC.

Let's say you have to bind a certain amount of your hp to a monster, for example say you summon a skeleton, for every 10 damage it recieves you'll lose a hitpoint, also, keep in mind you can't outfit them with armour and weapons, so it'd still be more worthwhile to use combat yourself and have a summon attack alongside you, but with you soaking up the damage.

Sounds like you're describing a taming skill... with guards :shock: Hmm, using a tea and cake to make a guard jump through a hoop... strangely I can imagine Jagex doing it. Although if you could train various monsters around Runescape to aid you in battle it could be quiet useful, for example you could tame a eagle and it could act like a reusable imp althought the eagle would stay at the bank with the items it took. You could also have some really great quests attached to it, like trying to sneak a baby blue dragon away from it's mother so you could raise it as your own, you could use it to start fires and cook food as well as fight alongside you, as it gets older it'll start to be able to use it's wings but eventually it'll grow to big and you'll either have to let it roam free or give it it's own room in your POH. On top of this you could also teach the pet new tricks the higher your skill level and the longer spent with it, not only could you add to it's repitoire of attacks to aid you in battle, but perhaps you could have an emote button that let you do an emote with your pet.

I'm certainly not a well know here, I generally lurk around the forums and don't post too often, and I hardly ever go to w99, I really should make it my new home world, my current one (w84) is starting to make me lag.
