What is your favorite word to say on runescape?
p0nd3r4 replied to coonas's topic in General Discussion
'Thankyou' tends to be the one I end up saying most, I have a thing about saying it after each and every trade I do. Favourite is much harder... ehhm... weed? NOTICE: Be aware, give it 24 hours and this thread's likely to be chock full of 'kahbahgee' by the Order of Pointlessness members :P -
1. Ring Of Life 2. Full gilded 3. Black scimitar

What will Runescape be like in 50 years? Or even 5?
p0nd3r4 replied to n_odie's topic in General Discussion
50 years?? Simple answer: In 50 years, RuneScape will be... non-existent. -
And the world goes up and down! Graphs!
p0nd3r4 replied to runesmithie's topic in General Discussion
I suggest a column chart with a much condensed time scale. Everyone loves column charts! :D -
So How Long Will Uuuuu Play Runescape For??, 1 year 5 years
p0nd3r4 replied to a topic in General Discussion
This is stupid I think. No offence to the author of this thread, but there's been literally COUNTLESS threads on how long people have played, as for when people will quit - how many people write up a schedule? ^^ 2006 Monday 21st April: Start playing RuneScape Monday 28th April: Become addicted to RuneScape 2007 Monday 21st April: Quit playing RuneScape Monday 28th April: Mums bday XD -
1, if I'm not mistaken. Do you wonder if maybe, were there any kind of mystery to solve or secrets to uncover, Jagex might have given us some form of sign? Like, say, the corner of the manor being destroyed and various new NPCs appearing for us to question on the matter? :P

That's... worse? :P

Hehe, excellent

Meh, I always thought the game was better in the old days. Much harder to get by as a newb without friends, but it toughened you up in a sense. I remember slaying goblins for a long time to get gold for a new bronze scimitar. I don't know how many newbs bother doing things like that anymore at all.

It's habit with anything RS-related. I find it helps to use distractive ascii forms when selling on RS forums or in-game but I don't like to go over the top either, I find :: is enough to help my cause. I'd try to stop doing it here but it's too habitual now, and I like to keep all my habits :P

Ohw, I expected people to know, but not this many.

Well, that solves that mystery. If you ask me, you're just trying to create a thread that will gain in popularity like the "Investigating the Wise Old Man" thread and eventually be featured on the Hot Topic. My recommendation: if you want to get a really popular thread going, come up with your own idea for thread. Make it unique, not just a spinoff of an existing thread. I think this idea is cool, investigating the history of certain places in runescape. Just because its investigating something doesnt mean its a rip-off of the investigating the wise old man, but i geuss investigating stuff is now taboo in your eyes. I didnt kno some of that stuff on there:p the skeleton was maybe the guy who was hanged? I'm torn between the two. Personally, since none of that which has been posted so far is particularly shocking I'm inclined to believe what magician said. I mean: "- There are bathrooms and kitchens in the Manor but very old and dusty" How's anyone supposed to react to that? It's comparable to someone making a thread called "Discovery: The Sun!" saying "- The sun is made of flames, but the flames are hot and yellow." All I could think of to say would be 'Ok.' :P On the other hand, it has the potential to be interesting... only so far, that potential has not been realised.

I'm sure many have already discovered this, but I'm also sure many have not... so if you're one of the lucky ones to have thought of this before me, please keep that to yourself. I won't appreciate posts like "omg old news n00b". Anyhow, I was just using the combat calculator here at Tip to decide what levels I would attain for 100 combat. I made my choice, but then set about wondering how I'd remember them the next time I logged on. Notepad is useful, but unless I leave the file open I know I won't find it again. Then I had a revelation of resourcefulness :): Note: Incase anyone missed the point and simply glanced at the image, it's of using the ignore list as more of a reminder list. :D Of course each line is very limited for characters but nonetheless I believe this could prove extremely useful to those of us who are more prone to forgetfulness. ^^ If you like the idea, or it helps you, I'd appreciate you letting me know!! :)

lol because any "hacking" software exists?.. nobody gets HACKED. people are just idiots who reveal their passwords. unless of course you`re talking about keyloggers.. then the idiots are stupid enough to give out their msn name or something and actually OPEN one. (someone tried that with me and I laughed..) Exactly what I was trying to say, but in blunter form. :) Even with keylogger it's still, as I said in attempt to cover all options in one statement, just people falling from columns of their own stupidity. Typically keyloggers are placed inside programs claiming to be hacks and such. To be honest, I quite like that notion. It ensures only people trying to [bleep] up the game themselves get [bleep]ed up. :D

Precisely. I prefer, personally, to never try and expect anything. Rather just be prepared for all possibilities.

Sir tiffy casien-certificate cash in I forgot that one, but I think it's Certification. ^^

Lmao, go to Father Uhrney in South West lumbridge swamps and tell him you've come to reposess his house. Funniest NPC dialogue EVER, I think. ^^

You have no idea. Sure I do, I just don't have any evidence to support it. :P Care to elaborate on your remark?

I disagree I think that its a great reward for such easy tasks. Why would you not want to earn more xp in agility arena? Or a quick and easy way to get gems to raise your crafting? Why would you not want 8 new gem rocks? I wish that I could use those new gem rocks right now, If you could use them you would be the only one there! Then think about expansion of the diary and the possibility that it could have. If you think negative all the time your expect negative updates. Not everything is bad! They're too spaced out anyway, highly inconvenient. I would of been disappointed if they had been mith with that layout. Just like always, more rubbish for noobs, nothing better for higher levels. err...k, i have a problem with this. How is infinite teleports to a mine closed off to everyone who hasn't beaten tasks in which you need relatively high levels, + some experience in the game. Plus, how can you even beat the high level tasks? you're 97 combat, you need 100 for the duradel thing. How many "noobs" can beat a 360? How many "noobs" can become champion of the fight pits (unless you find a non-crowded world), how many "noobs" have 44 rc, have beaten tai Bwo Wannai Trio? I am thoroughly impressed with you're defenition of noob. You barely scrape up some of the requirements for some of these things :? Sorry for blowing up, but i'm tired of "jagex doesn't give high levels anything" rants. This was a high level update. Hate to break it to you. Not to many players can do these things, and most of them are high level lol...doesn't matter what the reward was necessarly (although it is excellent), it matters that really only dedicated players can do this. Very well. Infinite teleports to a closed off mine, correct-a-mondo! However you fail to mention that the rocks there suck some pretty fat, hairy balls (opals woot) and are very inconveniently spaced around about the place. Furthermore, I never claimed noobs could beat the 360s, but what do those who can get? As previously discussed, infinite teleports to... shilo village. Since apparently you need to have done the quests there to get the teleport gloves in the first place, they don't seem all that great to me. I never claimed noobs could do those other things either. I said "more rubbish for noobs". I stand by that comment, as the rewards to be gained here appear to me to be nothing more than the usual type of update rewards - ones that waste bank space. When you've piled all the crap they give you from these tasks into your bank and the novelty of the update has worn off, see how much you use them then. Noobs will maybe use these things. Thus why I say, more rubbish for noobs. To enlighten you as to why I say this, it's because I've been waiting so long now for something that takes a lot of effort but gives back a lot of reward, in the form of particularly powerful/useful items. A pair of gloves, infinite teleports to a place I never, ever visit now and extra xp at the agility arena does not fit my perception of good rewards for higher levels. I can see, on the other hand, that for some these gloves could be seen as a great status symbol. I don't hold them in this regard, however, and so that cannot be used against me.

Things That Don't Happen, But Should/Runescape Mysteries
p0nd3r4 replied to XwitchKingXx's topic in General Discussion
How about the fact that you can fit an entire cannon which, when set up, is clearly much bigger than your character himself, stored on your character's person. Furthermore, in your character's invisible backpack. When you get attacked, whatever you wear never gets damaged but you do... (minus barrows and crystal). Comforting to know - you can get stabbed in the heart 10 times and die, but your rune plate will live on, unharmed! -
Most likely there will be a RuneScape 3 unless Jagex sells up or RuneScape disappears altogether. It will appear when Jagex calculate that they can maximise profit from ditching RS2 and creating another updated version to keep up with the ever-increasing possibilities of computer graphics. Then, and only then. I doubt they are planning it at all yet. RS2 is not a sequel to RSC though, it's more like Road Rash and Road Rash 3D. In retrospect, it would've been cool to call it RS3D.
