I feel that. I find it a lot different in members but in F2P every time I would try and do something nice for someone they seemed to take it as me being a pushover and harass me continously for free stuff. :( Makes you wanna say, "[bleep] you then, get your own damn [cabbage]" lol

Back in my merchanting days making lazyass newbs do my bidding was my game. ^^ Infact, I somewhat shamefully, in retrospect, made most of my wealth from getting newbs to gather bulk amounts of raw materials for half the selling price. I digress however, my point being that it is possible. I found the best way was to walk around with a few mil, showing them what they could earn. Don't get me wrong, I still made them richer than they would of gotten in a long time on their own steam. :P

I never, ever buy food. Every once in a while I spend some time in the Fishing Guild to get around 2000 lobsters which will last me a fair while.

THIS EVENT IS EVIL!!! Seriously, the time has come around again it seems for your lot to degenerate a ton more newbies! For christ's sake, all you're doing is teaching them they must do nothing to gain something, which is all wrong. Way too many newbs already have this attitude, which I often spend time trying to explain away ingame, and you go and do this which pisses me off big time. If you really want to help them, help them help themselves. Give them jobs or teach them how they can make their own armour etc. Giving newbs things is like feeding that blob from that one movie, they'll just get greedier and greedier and never bother working. Great, more beggars in Varrock. Well done OoC! :x Unless you make an effort to explain exactly what you're doing and why then you've just made an enemy for life! :P :evil: P.S. Sorry if I sound offensive but I'm really against this type of thing. Like I say though, so long as you explain that they will need to work to gain anything else, maybe explain some good newbie jobs to them then I'm happy :) P.P.S. If you all promise to do that, I will donate 100k even, but you MUST make sure they won't think this is commonplace and that wanting more free stuff is a bad way to go.

I'm not so much generous as helpful. If anyone, ever asks anything of me ingame that doesn't require me giving things away, I pretty much always take the time to help them. Helping people is a big part of RS for me. Making them armour, taking them all over, answering 50 questions a day from my regular newbies ^^ Actually, I've given away a [bleep]ing lot now I think about it, but never if they directly ask for it. Say someone asks me 'where can i buy armour?' I will tell them/take them but if they end up having not enough money I'll either buy or make them the rest. :)

Dont you see that your not increasing your chance when the other person can just use it too? It will even out and all it will do is slow down the fight and waste prayer points that could be used for 15% prayers. Fairish point, but that's not why they call out 'noob' I'm sure. Many a time I've been PKing and called noob by paranoid idiots for using 15% prayers, even though I wasn't. Besides, nobody sticks to their own honor codes anyway. Every time I'm called a safer they have over half their health! If I don't use prayer my enemy probably is.

I think the only way they can ever rid f2p of the macro plague is to have actual, working ingame moderators. There are p mods but what the hell use are they, really? Need M mods. :P

I have an inside tip that a lot of these topics are created to gain recognition for being around a long time. I don't care, I played RSC a little while but it sucked balls so I stopped. Don't get me wrong, I'm a retro gamer - graphics don't concern me much but jesus christ, RSC was an abomination unto the internet on that front. So many footsteps apparently taken, so little movement actually made.

The problem with your supposed honour system, is that you can't try and force everyone to disadvantage themselves like you want them to. I.E. your prayer 1v1 rule - why the [bleep] is prayer allowed in the wild if you're not meant to use it? If I've spent time getting 53 prayer, I'm going to use it because it increases my chances of pwning you. Don't like it? Use prayer too. Can't? Then you lose, and it's your own fault for not burying as many bones as I have.

He's right. You can't just add everyone's password to the filter list... what if someone's password is dragon, etc? It would be fairly hard for them, they would of had to implement an entire new block of code for this.

Agreed also. From what I gather, pretty much everything of interest will be written up. ^^ Basically, I believe you should be able to read this site every week and you'll be clued up to everything.

We come from the same country, and thusly live with the same rubbish. People are morons its as simple as that. They will do whatever it takes to be accepted by people they look up to including but not limited to: murder, hurling abuse at strangers, trying to attract mates(sexual) the same way that wild boars do, ganging up someone weaker than them to prove their strength, mocking the poor, mocking the rich, mocking different races/religions, destroying other peoples property, being 'ironic' etc... These people are WEAK, they are sheep and should not be tolerated let alone looked up to, but hey what do i know? Unfortunately i'd say 5% of the people on this planet would F*** you over to get something they really, really wanted, if you think that im paranoid/mad i think you may not realise the world you were thrust into. I'm not a total pessimist but i am aware of a large minority of people that are (and theres no other word for it) SCUM. Oh I concur, I know precisely what you mean. We call them chavs, lol :) But seriously, I'm considering getting the hell out of Britain for the aforementioned (by you) reasons.
